  • Diagnostic Policy does not run

    I have got a starange error on another pc that runs windows vista. The problem seems to be that the Diagnostic policy does not manage to run. Therefor I can not find out why it can not run.I have tried to start it manually with no luck, with an error code thar say that you have no permission. Since Diagnostic policy does not run, I am not able to connect to the internet. Can somebody please help me?

    I'm trying to create a directory symbolic link under Windows Server 2003 but I'm not having any luck. I've tried junction.exe (Sysinternals), ln.exe, and linkd.exe (Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit). I'd like c:\folder\subfolder to link to \fileserver\realSubfolder This works perfectly fine under Windows 7 (using mklink.exe) but I can't get this to work under Windows Server 2003. Can anybody help me out?

    i have been installed ubuntu server 11.10 and i doesn't specify the domain name during the installation but after i have been edit /ete/resolve.conf with my dns servers which run windows server the dns can't recognise my server name . then i installed likewise-open but that doesn't solve the problem and make some problems with ftp . can someone help me please to join this server to the dns . thanks in advance .

  • inkscape stroke inaccurate

    I am trying to add a stroke to a rectangle object, but if I add a 1px stroke, it places it 0.5px outside the edge of the rectangle and 0.5px inside the rectangle. I find this to be annoying when I want an object to be exactly 5px by 5px and it ends up becoming 6px by 6px. Is there a setting anywhere which places the stroke within the rectangle edge so a 5px by 5px square remains a 5px by 5px square. Please help.

Universal Time is now: Mon Jul 9 20:00:57 UTC 2012. In the /etc/default/rcS file i have : UTC=no Unfortunately this is not working, In the system information of jenkins: user.timezone Etc/UTC I searched for a few hour.. unfortunately could not find a fix any help would be greatly appreciated. I am having really hard time with that, I try to give it full rights to some folders (user profiles) but I can't even modify the NTFS permissions in some cases, I get "permission denied" Is there some soft of tutorial or script that will just give the administrator full rights on all folders in the C driver?   • VPN Router drops connections

    We are using a Netgear VPN Firewall Router FVS318v3.. We have a DSL connection here at the office, and my users complain of the connection dropping, or locking up on their end.. Latest firmware is installed, rebooting the router doesn't help, no other internet connectivity issues reported anywhere else (ie., no other internet connection problems here, or at their end, except when connecting to the VPN..) Is there anything else I can check to pinpoint this problem? TIA!!!

    I'm attempting to install Apache httpd-2.4.3. running $ ./configure --with-included-apr --with-pcre=/home/gregd/httpd-2.4.3/pcre --with-mod_alias --with-mod_include --with-mod_mime --with-mod_rewrite --with-mod_speling --with-mod_ss I get the following error: configure: error: Did not find pcre-config script at /home/gregd/httpd-2.4.3/pcre But the file pcre-config most certainly DOES exist in /home/gregd/httpd-2.4.3/pcre. So does configure. Installing on ubuntu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am in no mans land as I am a developer and not a sys admin but I have to assume many roles. So I'm reaching out for help. Sometimes I will see hundreds of these 'C0000005' scriptengine errors in the event log in a matter of seconds and other times just a few times an hour. I googled this line 'ASP!CACTIVESCRIPTENGINE::GETAPPLICATION' and got nothing. Its like the function don't exist or something.   • Whenever I hold alt/option and move my mouse, Mac OS X resizes my window... how do I stop that?

    I've been using Mac OS X for maybe 6 years now, and I have no idea what's causing this. Maybe someone else has this experience and can help me out. Symptom: while holding the alt/option key, if I move my mouse the current window starts resizing, anchored at the top left (it behaves exactly as if I had clicked-and-dragged the lower-right icon on the window). Anyone have an idea of what I may have installed that caused this? Or how to make it stop?

    Hello, Im looking for the best way to accomplish a full backup of our "vmail" accounts on our mail server (CentOS "iRedMail" 5.1). I also need to split on 4GB parts the resulting tar or bzip compressed backup, and get this DVD-RW burned, on same server. The idea is to get this procedure to running overnight, once a week.     I just installed windows 7 on dell 4600 desktop. the Audio card is a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2. I've look all over, and I can't find a driver for windows 7.
