How can I find out a solution? Do i have to cast it to a string ?

    I seem to be having a problem with using ItemizedOverlay and OveralyItems in it. I can get the first overlayItem to appear on the map but not any items after that. However, they seem to be overlayed or drawn on top of the bottom portion of the grid view. I would like the gridview to be shorter, so that the ad can fill the bottom portion of the screen, and not hide part of the gridview. The problem is most annoying when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the gridview, and you still cannot fully see the last row items in the grid due to the ad. I'm not sure if this is the standard way that AdMob ads work. If this is the case, adding some padding to the bottom of the grid (if that's possible) would due the trick. That way the user can scroll a bit further, and see the last row in addition to the ad. I just switched from using LinearLayout to RelativeLayout after reading some similar issues with ListViews. Now my ad is along the bottom instead of above the grid, so I'm getting closer. Thoughts? -Kevin

To count them i used a computed column (Integer) with the following logic: Total.count(row["VPK"]) I'm using the RCP-Designer (BIRT 2.1.3). How can i get the other rows as well? Patrick

  • SQL Server transaction log backups,

    Hi there, I have a question regarding the transaction log backups in sql server 2008. I am currently taking full backups once a week (Sunday) and transaction log backups daily. I put full backup in folder1 on Sunday and then on Monday I also put the 1st transaction log backup in the same folder. On tuesday, before I take the 2nd transaction log backup I move the first transaction log backup from folder1 an put it into folder2 and then I take the 2nd transaction log backup and put it in the folder1. Same thing on Wed, Thurs and so on. Basicaly in folder1 I always have the latest full backup and the latest transaction log backup while the other transaction log backups are in folder2. My questions is, when sql server is about to take, lets say 4th (Thursday) transaction log backup, does it look for the previous transac log backups (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) so that this new backup will only include the transactions from the last backup or it has some other way of knowing whether there are other transac log backups. Basically, I am asking this because all my transaction log backups seem to be about the same size and I thought that their size will depend on the amount of transactions since the last transaction log backup. Can anyone please explain if my assumptions are right? Thanks...

    If I create a Google apps script, can I hook it up to Google spreadsheet to run based on an event, or must I manually invoke it? I don't know if Google spreadsheet supports any events. For example: a Google app script that strikes out rows in the spreadsheet that have been marked completed by way of a column having the digit 1 beside completed rows. I would like this to run whenever a row is modified, or even when the spreadsheet is first loaded.

  • open flash chart rails x-axis issue

    Hey guys, I am using open flash chart 2 in my rails application. Everything is looking smooth except for the range on my x axis. I am creating a line to represent cell phone plan cost over a specific amount of usage and I'm generate 8 values, 1-5 are below the allowed usage while 6-8 are demonstrations of the cost for usage over the limit. The problem I'm encountering is how to set the range of the X axis in ruby on rails to something specific to the data. Right now the values being displayed are the indexes of the array that I'm giving. When I try to hand a hash to the values the chart doesn't even load at all. So basically I need help getting a way to set the data for my line properly so that it displays correctly, right now it is treating every value as if it represents the x value of the index of the array.   • How do I keep Visual Studio's Windows Forms Designer from deleting controls?

    With several forms of mine, I occasionally run into the following issue: I edit the form using the designer (Visual Studio 2008, Windows Forms, .NET 2.0, VB.NET) to add components, only to find out later that some minor adjustments were made (e.g. the form's size is suddenly changed by a few pixels), and controls get deleted. This happens silently — event-handling methods automatically have their Handles suffix removed, too, so they never get called, and there's no compiler error. I only notice much later or not at all, because I'm working on a different area in the form. As an example, I have a form with a SplitContainer containing an Infragistics UltraListView to the left, and an UltraTabControl to the right. I added a new tab, and controls within, and they worked fine. I later on found out that the list view's scrollbar was suddenly invisible, due to its size being off, and at least one control was removed from a different tab that I hadn't been working on. Is this a known issue with the WinForms Designer, or with Infragistics? I use version control, of course, so I can compare the changes and merge the deleted code back in, but it's a tedious process that shouldn't be necessary. Are there ways to avoid this? Is there a good reason for this to occur? One clue is that the control that was removed may have code (such as a Load event handler) that expects to be run in run time, not design time, and may be throwing an exception. Could this cause Visual Studio to remove the control?

    Hi, When I export the content of the display tag table I use the data shows up fine, but the header cells are surrounded by html span tags, which is slightly annoying. I can imagine why Displaytag uses spans around the column header's text, but it shouldn't transpose in the exported data I think.   • How to toggle a WPF Grid column visibility

    I'm having some trouble getting this to work in a WPF app I'm working on. Basically, what I'm after is something like the Task pane in an MMC: The app has three columns in the main part of the display. I need a column on the right side which is resizable. I presume this means using a Grid with a GridSplitter but anything that works will do. I want to be able to save the width of the right-side column when the app is closed and load it when the app is opened but this should be an initial size: the user should be able to resize it. When I resize the window, I want the left- and right-side columns to stay the same size and the middle column to resize with the window width. The left- and right-side columns need to have a minimum width. When I resize the right-side column I want the centre column to get smaller but not the left-side column. I also want to be able to toggle the visibility of the right-side column with a toggle button which is outside the column and when it returns to visibility I want it to be the same width it was before. I'm trying to do as much as possible in XAML and with binding. And can I have it topped with cream, ice cream and chocolate chips, please? :-)

    I have a WinMobile app which allows the user the snap a photo with the camera, and then use for for various things. The photo can be snapped at 1600x1200, 800x600 or 640x480, but it must always be resized to 400px for the longest size (the other is proportional of course). And I don't know why, since I dispose the tempPhoto (with the original photo from the camera) as soon as I can, and I also dispose the Graphics obj. Why does this happen? It seems impossible to me that one can't take a photo with the camera and resize/save it without making it crash :( Should I restor t C++ for such a simple thing? Thanks.

    I have already found a lot of information about how to solve memory leaks for iPhone Obj C code. The last two leaks keep me puzzled, I'm probably overlooking something. Maybe you can spot it. Instruments reports 2 leaks for the following code (part of a UIViewController subclass): (1) UIWebView *webView = [[UIWebView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, self.view.bounds.size.width, self.view.bounds.size.height - LOWER_VERT_WINDOW_MARGIN)]; (2) webView.scalesPageToFit = YES; (3) webView.dataDetectorTypes = UIDataDetectorTypeNone; (4) (5) NSURL *url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:self.fullPathFileName isDirectory:NO]; (6) NSMutableURLRequest *urlRequest = [[NSMutableURLRequest alloc] initWithURL:url]; (7) [webView loadRequest:urlRequest]; (8) [urlRequest release], urlRequest = nil; (9) [self.view addSubview:webView]; (10) [webView release], webView = nil; Instruments claims 128 bytes are leaking in line 1, as well as 256 bytes in line 4. No idea if it means line 3 or line 5. Does anybody have a clue what I'm overlooking?

  • Rendering UIImage/CGImage into CGPDFContext results in... blankness!

    Hi all, I'm trying to take an image that I have in a image object and render into a Core Graphics PDF context-- happens to be on an iPhone but this question surely applies equally to desktop Quartz. This UIImage is a simple color-on-white image at about 600x800 resolution. If I (say) turn it into a PNG file, that file looks exactly as expected-- so the data is OK.     OK, This is starting to get mildly irritating. I did a bit of reseach, and without getting a good answer, I did notice that people were associating this issue with layout issues.   • json_encode with mysql content and umlauts in utf-8

    Hey, i feel my beard growing while trying to find out the Problem here. Basic the Problem is, that Umlauts/Special Signs äöß ... don't work. I guess everyone is sick and tired of that questions but all the solutions found online don't seem to work. Im having utf-8 content in a utf-8 Mysql Database. I feel the Problem ist somewhere in the Database connection but i just can't figure out. character_set_client utf8 character_set_connection utf8 character_set_database utf8 character_set_filesystem binary character_set_results utf8 character_set_server latin1 character_set_system utf8 Im not sure if the problem is the latin1 for character_set_server because im not into that mysql stuff. I also dont know how to change cause i can't access the mysql server's config files. Whatever is confusing me, that if i get my results from the Database and echo it, print_r gives the right result. ini_set('default_charset','utf-8'); header('Content-Type: text/plain; > charset=utf-8'); Firefox says char encode is utf-8 but if when i output: print_r($listnew); echo json_encode($listnew[5]); print_r results everything right but json_encode does wrong. print_r: [5] => Array ( [id] => 5 [data] => U-Bahnhof Theresienstraße [size] => 17 ) json_encode: {"id":5,"data":"U-Bahnhof Theresienstra\u00dfe","size":17} i know json_encode needs a utf-8 string to work properly there and i feel im having a encode trouble here but i just can't firgure out where it is.   • Magento MAGMI: Product attributes (custom options) not showing up in import

    When importing a CSV into Magento with the MAGMI importing tool, I am unable to import Custom Options (as in size: smalee/medium/large). The import manages to put in the basic products, but the Custom Options don't transfer accross. By custom options I mean the fields Title, Input Type, Is Required, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order and so on ... Found in the custom options menu... Even using the example CSV from the MAGMI SourceForge Wiki: sku,name,description,price,Size:drop_down:1 T-Shirt1,T-Shirt,A T-Shirt,5.00,Small|Medium|Large T-Shirt2,T-Shirt2,Another T-Shirt,6.00,XS|S|M|L|XL ...it fails to import the attributes. So i'm simply using MAGMI with the supplied example data from SourceForge on a blank magento product list, and it doesn't transfer properly. Can anyone shed any light on what might be wrong? I am using Magento ver. 1.6.1.0 if that changes anything. Thanks.

Anything look wrong with this? All I'm trying to do is make a simple split panel but whenever I run this all I get is a blank page. Without any of the SplitPanel stuff, it works fine. The same happens with DockLayoutPanel.
