I think there is some mess with charset code/decode but never figured out. The SQL' table is in "utf8_unicode_ci" format and the column in "utf8_general_ci". Now, I want to add a tooltip for every control. The content of the tooltip should be same as for the helptext extension. One CaptionValue and other CaptionItem. In CaptionItem table has three columns 1. CaptionItem_Id int 2. Text nvarchar(255) 3. CaptionSet_Name nvarchar(255) Now, my question is how can I make the columnt type of Text to nvarchar(max)? Thanks in advance.

How to achieve interaction between GUI class with logic class

Im new to GUI programming, and haven't done much OOP. Im working on a basic calculator app to help me learn GUI design and to brush up on OOP. I understand that anything GUI related should be kept seperate from the logic, but Im unsure how to implement interaction between logic an GUI classes when needed i.e. basically passing variables back and forth... Load javascript in app engine

I got so confused loading javascript in app engine. I am using django template. In my base html file. First I can't load my downloaded jquery from local say d:/jquery.js like <script src="d:\jquery.js" type="text/javascript" ></script></head>, This line is in my base html file. It works when I load jquery from remote. Like <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js"type="text/javascript" ></script></head> I dont know why. Second, I can't load my own-created javascript to my html file, say I create a javascript like layout. Js and I try to load it like this in my child html file, which, by the way, inherits from the base html. <body><script src="layout.js" type="text/javascript"></script></body>, And it doesn't work at all, the only way it works I have tried is that I put the actual javascript in the body of my base html file. Like <body><script> $(document).ready( $("#yes"). Click(function() { $("#no"). Hide("slow"); })); </script> I dont know why either... Any help?

WPF - Dynamically access a specific item of a collection in XAML

Hi, I have a data source ('SampleAppearanceDefinitions'), which holds a single collection ('Definitions'). Each item in the collection has several properties, including Color, which is what I'm interested in here. I want, in XAML, to display the Color of a particular item in the collection as text. I can do this just fine using this code below... Text="{Binding Source={StaticResource SampleAppearanceDefinitions}, Path=Definitions[0].Color}" The only problem is, this requires me to hard-code the index of the item in the Definitions collection (I've used 0 in the example above). What I want to do in fact is to get that value from a property in my current DataContext ('AppearanceID'). One might imagine the correct code to look like this.... Text="{Binding Source={StaticResource SampleAppearanceDefinitions}, Path=Definitions[{Binding AppearanceID}].Color}" ...but of course, this is wrong. Can anyone tell me what the correct way to do this is? Is it possible in XAML only? It feels like it ought to be, but I can't work out or find how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Drupal - Search box not working - custom theme template

Hello, I am using a customised version of search-theme-from.tpl When I use the search box, I do get transferred to the search page. But the search does not actually take place. The search box on the search results page does work though. ASP.NET Web Service returning XML result and nodevalue is always null

I have an ASP.NET web service which returns an XMLDocument. The web service is called from a Firefox extension using XMLHttpRequest. var serviceRequest = new XMLHttpRequest(); serviecRequest.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "text/xml; charset=utf-8"); I consume the result using responseXML. So far so good. But when I iterate through the XML I retrieve nodeValue - nodeValue is always null. When I check the nodeType the nodeType is type 1 (Node.ELEMENT_NODE == 1). Node.NodeValue states all nodes of type Element will return null. In my webservice I have created a string with the XML i.e. xml="Hank" I then create the XmlDocument XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument(); doc.LoadXML(string); I know I can specify the nodetype using using CreateNode. But when I am just building the xml by appending string values is there a way to change the nodeType to Text so Node.nodeValue will be "content of the text node".

Capturing stdout from an imported module in wxpython and sending it to a textctrl, without blocking the GUI

There are alot of very similar questions to this but I can't find one that applies specifically to what I'm trying to do. I have a simulation (written in SimPy) that I'm writing a GUI for, the main output of the simulation is text - to the console from 'print' statements. Now, I thought the simplest way would be to create a seperate module GUI.py, and import my simulation program into it: import osi_model I want all the print statements to be captured by the GUI and appear inside a Textctrl, which there's countless examples of on here, along these lines: class MyFrame(wx.Frame): def __init__(self, *args, **kwds): <general frame initialisation stuff..> redir=RedirectText(self.txtCtrl_1) sys.stdout=redir class RedirectText: def __init__(self,aWxTextCtrl): self.out=aWxTextCtrl def write(self,string): self.out.WriteText(string) I am also starting my simulation from a 'Go' button: def go_btn_click(self, event): print 'GO' self.RT = threading.Thread(target=osi_model.RunThis()) self.RT.start() This all works fine, and the output from the simulation module is captured by the TextCtrl, except the GUI locks up and becomes unresponsive - I still need it to be accessible (at the very minimum to have a 'Stop' button). I'm not sure if this is a botched attempt at creating a new thread that I've done here, but I assume a new thread will be needed at some stage in this process. People suggest using wx.CallAfter, but I'm not sure how to go about this considering the imported module doesn't know about wx, and also I can't realistically go through the entire simulation architecture and change all the print statements to wx.CallAfter, and any attempt to capture the shell from inside the imported simulation program leads to the program crashing. Does anybody have any ideas about how I can best achieve this? So all I really need is for all console text to be captured by a TextCtrl while the GUI remains responsive, and all text is solely coming from an imported module. (Also, secondary question regarding a Stop button - is it bad form to just kill the simulation thread?). Thanks, Duncan

Hide All But First Matching Element

I am using jquery to sort through multiple paragraphs. Currently I have it set to show only paragraphs that start with a current letter. But now, I would like to consolidate further. If the text between the paragraph tags has multiple instances, I would like all but the first hidden. How to avoid resetting the java Scanner position

I have some code that looks more or less like this: while(scanner.hasNext()) { if(scanner.findInLine("Test") !=null) { //do some things }else{ scanner.nextLine(); } } I am using this to parse an ~10MB text file. The problem is, if I put a breakpoint on the while() and the scanner.nextLine(), I can see that sometimes the scanners position (in the debug window) goes back to zero. I think this is causing me some kind of loop blow up, because the regext in findInLine() starts at zero, looks through some amount of text, advancing the position, and then it randomly gets set back to zero, so it has to re-parse all that text again. Any ideas what can be causing that? Am I even doing this the right way? Thanks Some additional info: The Scanner is instantiated from an InputStream. After diubg sine debugging, it appears that there is a HearCharBuffer that Scanner uses and it only allows 1024 characters at a time, and then resets. Is there a way to avoid this, or do things differently? That seems like a small amount of characters to be able to scan. Derek

How can I solve this CSS links inheritance problem?

It's stumped me an I've tried a couple of things - then again I'm not very experienced so I may just be going about it the wrong way. Basically I want to have different link styles for both the navigation and the pagination. The #navigation styling is overriding my .pagination styling though, and it doesn't appear to matter if the pagination is a class or an ID. Pulling name value pair from a structured adsense code block contained in a txt file

I have a txt file which contains a google adsense code block and I'm trying to pull in the file via file_get_contents to extract the values of the google_ad_client and google_ad_slot variables. In the examples below, I want to return to my calling function: $google_ad_client = 'pub-1234567890987654'; $google_ad_slot = '1234567890' The file may contain one of either of these two formats and I wont know which the user has chosen: Newer Ad Unit Style <script type="text/javascript"> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="path-to-google-script"></script> Classic Style <script type="text/javascript"> </script>

Hello, my question is how would I use an HTML::Template tag inside a value of form to change that form.
