  • Can't remember the website for downloading common tools after reinstall

    I remember a while back finding a website for downloading lots of common tools in one go after a system reinstall. It had a dark background and checkboxes for selecting the tools (browsers, editors, readers, im clients, etc.). After selecting the tools it downloaded a file which went away, downloaded everything you'd selected and then performed an install on each of the different apps. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

  • Should I install software on a "SAN"

    Hi, I need to set up ColdFusion 9 on a ubuntu server that has a SAN disk mounted. Is it appropriate to install the CF server software on this disk? I don't really understand the ins and outs of what a SAN is, so I am not sure if the intention is for me to solely install web content on it or whether the server software itself should go here too.   • Why is my mail stuck in the queue with the status "retry" in Exchange 2003?

    I have been having a problem recently where some of our mail is not getting to clients. I looked into the Message queue on my SBS2k3 server and noticed that several recipients are showing up in the queue with a state of "Retry". When I highlight the recipient, the additional queue information says "An SMTP protocol error occured". How can I find out more specifically what error occured, and how could I then go about correcting it? Thanks, Mike

  • How to route certain applications through a VPN and others to use my 'standard' connection in OSX 10.6?

    I am currently working abroad and use my company's VPN for FTP and some browsing. This is a relatively slow connection and while it is suitable for those VPN necessities; much of my other internet usage can be done without the VPN at a much higher speed. Is there a way to tell Safari and my FTP software to use the VPN and for all other connections to go directly to the internet. I am currently using OSX's Network Prefs for running my VPN connection.   • firefox 12 turn off Inspect Element (Q)

    Go the new FF12 and I hit the "Inspect Element (Q)", i'm use to hitting "Inspect" and getting FireBug, now i get the FF inspection tool. It looks nice, but how do i turn it off? Not disable it, but stop inspecting the current page? I have to close the tab, when working on a large web application, have to sign back in and re-setup everything i was testing to get back to a normal view. Big waste of time.

    I purchased a new hard drive for my desktop and when I try to boot up the computer with a Windows disc in the drive, it will go through a bunch of screens and ask me which partition I would like to install windows into, but after it goes through the formatting step and reboots, I get a message saying Primary Master Drive Fails.     As the title reads, I'm about to download and install URL Rewrite Go Live extension on my Windows Server 2008 R2 dedicated server, and I need to find out which version of URL Rewrite I should be downloading, x64 or x86. The information that came with the server when I started to rent it said it was 64-bit but when I look at my C: directory I have two Program Files directories, one titled "Program Files" and the other "Program Files (86)" - so this has confused me somewhat. Can anybody suggest how to find this out?

    There have been a number of improvements with multi-monitor compatibility in Windows 8, but how would one go about configuring wallpaper slideshow settings for a second monitor? For instance: I want to display one album on my second monitor, and another on my main monitor. How would I set this up?     Hi Team, While preparing a Word 2007 document, I made a mistake. (Not to say I don't have any other copy of the document) While formatting (as a try) I applied the style "Apply Style to Body to match selection". This caused the document to go totally in a wronfg format - having numbers even in tables. Have you ever faced this? Could you please tell how to correct it? Thanks Lijo

  • Don't see job schedule in SQL Mgmt UI added by sp_add_jobschedule

    I'm running a script like below on a SQL Server box and, even though it finishes correctly, then when, on SQL Mgmt UI, I right click on that job's properties, go to Schedules, I cannot see the schedule just added... what am I missing? (I'm using the right job_name param, etc) thanks!   • Take VMware VM State Home With Me

    I work in VMs day in and day out, it's wonderful, encapsulating all the stuff I need for development in a contained unit. My question is: I want to be able to take my VM home with me, the problem is the VM is 30GB, and it takes about 30 minutes to copy that much data to my external HDD. Is it possible to somehow save the "state" of the VM, go home, and just resume it like a I would a laptop? Oh... almost forgot, I use VMware Workstation 6.5

    I am using uTorrent for my torrents and when I open a new torrent with utorrent, I must manually right click the item click on bandwidth allocation set it to HIGH then I must repat the first 2 steps again and then go to click on Set upload limit and click the proper desired amount which for me is 1 Kb/s This is very annoying to do this on every single torrent, is there a way to have these set as the default values in utorrent?

    I'm looking for an email address that can be sent to where the mail will just be deleted without a bounce back. RFC 2606 defines example.com as a fictitious domain for documentation. Is there something similar for email? This will be used in printed documentation, needs to be stable (the domain can't go stale or replaced by an NSFW site), and as generic as possible.
