Homestead Sitebuilder is much like any other website builder in that they allow practically anyone to be able to design their own website without having to know a thing about website design. This means that you can effectively and relatively easily build a website that you can have online and running in a matter of minutes, not months.
The amount of data involved in the average Web-based workload today doubles every year, increasing costs and straining IT resources. The traditional response to this dilemma from IT organizations is to throw more servers at the problem, which furthers server sprawl and increases power and management costs. As a result, the typical x86 server is only running at 10 percent utilization.

Given I am running a real estate rentals listing website, what would be the correct microdata or microformats for the listing pages? There is the usual data: address, photos, price, start date, possible end date, person who is renting it out, list of amenities, description etc.
Are there also microformats/microdata that can be used in the listing summary page (e.g., page that displays all listings in a particular city)?

I have a windows web hosting package.
I have 2 different domain names.
Can i point my first domain to the the hosting package and then run BlogEngine.NET and then point the second domain to the hosting package running NopCommerce cart?
www.domain1.co.uk (blog)
www.domain2.co.uk (e-commerce cart)
In IIS i would just create a new application within the site and create the bindings for domain2. But does this work for web hosting packages from 123-reg.co.uk

I've noticed something curious. When I attach the VS2010 debugger to the nunit.exe running process I see a loaded module with no path and a randomly generated filename.
I tried attaching WinDBG to the exact same instance of NUnit.exe and the module is NOT listed in the module list.
I also can't find anything with Google so I'm hoping someone here could help out.
Is this normal NUnit behavior or is something sneaky going on?
Some examples of the module name:

I am running a media center setup with the display through HDMI, powered by a NVIDIA card. I am using the proprietary NVIDIA drivers availabler through the additional drivers utility, on Xubuntu 11.10. In the mixer, I have all the volumes unmuted and turned up to 100%, but no sound through the HDMI. If I plug in speakers the nd comes through just fine. What can I do to make the sound go through the HDMI and to the TV?

I am working on a project about "Effects of Traffic conditions and Track Complexity on Car Driving Behavior".
Is it possible to implement traffic in TORCS, or should I use another car simulator? By the word "traffic" I mean there are cars running on both tracks in both directions and I can detect the distances, direction and speed of these cars. Depending on this information I can decide whether I should slow down, speed up and calculate the correct timing to overtake.
Simple question, I have some servers that were running 10.04 that I upgraded to 12.04.
So they were installed using 10.04 (kernel 2.6.32* I believe) and the version of ext4 that shipped then.
By upgrading to 12.04 and the newer kernel, does that enable TRIM automatically? (Do I need to add 'discard' to the fstab?)
Or do I need to do a clean install of 12.04 to get TRIM functionality on those drives.
I just installed the latest version of Ubuntu; I think it was 13 or something. Anyway, I got it running, and now I've been trying to connect to my Wi-Fi AP. No matter where I go I don't see an option for Wi-Fi.
I looked on the computer and found some commands to use in a terminal to run a scan for Wi-Fi networks, but all of them returned the error:
interface doesn't support scanning
What are step-by-step directions to make this work?

When you run a website you want it to be popular and well known. It is also true that most of us are impatient in a competitive arena that waits for no one. So for the webmaster to be, the biggest question when running a website is how to get links fast. So let us look at a few ways on how to get links fast.
I'm running an app that gets small donations (Micro payments up to ~11 USD) and also I'm doing some freelancing where I get some higher payments over PayPal too. (~900 USD a month)
Is it possible to have 2 accounts on PayPal?
(I'm asking because if someone send me money for my freelancing, they get the contact information from the app - Like [email protected] instead of [email protected] )
Thanks.

it does the same for bootable hardware tests (on a cd or usb)

I am trying to get Juju working on Windows 8 but I am running in to some errors when trying to get juju to see my ssh keys:

error: error parsing environment "azure":

I've added a public key I generated with putty to the directory above called azure
My environments.yaml file has this in it:
authorized-keys-path: C:\Users\user\SkyDrive\Documents\Azure\ssh\
Any ideas?
I was reading Learn C the Hard Way when I stumbled upon and followed the instructions for installing Valgrind, the C debugger. However, when I ran ./configure to setup build configurations, I got
checking for the kernel version... unsupported (3.0.0-17-generic)
configure: error: Valgrind works on kernels 2.4, 2.6
I am running Ubuntu 11.10, on the kernel Linux 3.0.0-17-generic x86_64.
The answer may be obvious but I'm not acquainted with Linux: How do I get Valgrind working on my computer? Thanks.
Your website is an important part of your business. Not only for your online but also for many offline business. Your online presence means that you can tap into the huge and growing market of the Internet. Many people think that having your own website and setting it up is complicated and expensive but it is not necessarily so. Here are some tips to have you up and running with ease.
I want to use the latest Opera browser, but v12 does not have opera-unite anymore. So, I would like to use a "portable" v11 Opera (v11 has unite).
(By portable I mean a program with all files within a certain directory that can be put in any place on the hard drive or on an external drive, a program that can be started by running an executable file from the same directory, and which can be run separately of other installed versions of the same program.)
I have a MMOG server running on C++, using winsockets. My server won't support more than 200 players. I had the idea of redesigning it so it will use multiple servers instead of one, so, maybe, for example, each server could take care of a number of players, and, if it was too laggy, it could transfer the responsability of that player to other server. I'm not sure of how to program a consistent game logic like that, though. Are there techniques for this?
If you go about it the right way it is possible to build a website quick. In this article I will suggest some useful ideas and steps you can follow to get your website built and running quickly. 1. ... [Author: Suzanne E Morrison - Web Design and Development - April 10, 2010]
For the first time today we began conducting load testing on a ASP.NET application already in production. Obviously you would normally want to load test prior to releasing to a production environment, but that isn't the point here.
We ran a test which simulated 5 users hitting the application doing the same actions simultaneously. The first few pages visited seemed fine and then things just hung for a while before the test failed. While the test was running I was viewing the performance counters on the server noting that the CPU was consistently pegged at 100% until the testing tool gave up.
Fortunately the application logs all exceptions including those unhandled to the database (thanks to log4net). I checked the log and low and behold the error was:
System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.
(The rest of the stack trace intentionally omitted)
Since the code was running with debug on the line number where the exception occured was also provided. I began inspecting the code and almost immediately it hit me, the section of code responsible for the exception is trying to initialize a static class. My next question was how is this code being hit multiple times when I have a rudimentary check already in place to prevent this kind of thing (i.e. a check on a public variable of the static class before entering the initializing routine). The answer...the check fails because the value is not set before other threads have already made it through.
Not being one who consistently works with threading I wasn't quite sure how to handle this problem. Fortunately a co-worker recalled having to lock a section of code in the past but couldn't recall exactly how. After a quick search on Google the solution is as follows:
Object objLock = new Object();
lock(objLock)
{
//logic requiring lock
}
The lock statement takes an object and tells the .NET runtime that the current thread has exclusive access while the code within brackets is executing. Once the code completes, the lock is released for another thread to utilize.
In my case, I only need to execute the inner code once to initialize my static class. So within the brackets I have a check on a public variable to prevent it from being initialized again.
