I tried this but it doeasnt work: $all_dates = $this->TourDate->find('all', array('conditions' => array('TourDate.date >=' => 'NOW()'), 'order' => array('TourDate.date ASC'))); If I replace NOW() with the current date it works. Why's that?

    This is my current query - its not getting the required result. I want it do display all of the "resources" even if they dont have a connection. SELECT * FROM (`user_permissions`) JOIN `user_groups` ON `user_groups`.`id` = `user_permissions`.`role` JOIN `user_resources` ON `user_resources`.`id` = `user_permissions`.`resource` WHERE `role` = '4' When I try left join or right join it still returns the same result. The result I get is: id | role | resource | name 5 | 4 | 2 | Changelog I want id | role | resource | name 5 | 4 | 2 | Changelog null | null | null | Resource2 null | null | null | Resource3 Is this possible?

  • Pagination links do not work properly - incorrect PHP function??

    Hi everyone, I am still trying to figure out how to fix my pagination script to work properly. the problem I am having is when I click any of the pagination number links to go the next page, the new content does not load. literally nothing happens and when looking at the console in Firebug, nothing is sent or loaded. I have on the main page 3 links to filter the content and display it. When any of these links are clicked the results are loaded and displayed along with the associated pagination numbers for that specific content. I believe the problem is coming from the function(generate_pagination.php (seen below)).   • SQL Server Mapping a user to a login and adding roles programmatically

    In my SQL Server 2005 server I create databases and logins using Management Studio. My application requires that I give a newly created user read and write permissions to another database. To do this I right-click the newly created login, select properties and go to User Mapping. I put a check beside the database to map this login to the db and select db_datareader and db_datawriter as the roles to map. Can this be done programmatically? I've read about using Alter User and sp_change_users_login but I'm having problems getting these to work, since sp_change_users_login has been deprecated so I'd prefer to use Alter User. Please note my understanding of SQL Server database users/logins/roles is basic

  • Is there a fast way to change all the collation to utf8_unicode?

    I have realised after making about 20 tables that I need to user utf8_unicode as opposed to utf8_general. What is the fastest way to change it using PHPMyAdmin? I had one idea: Export the database as SQL then using notepad run a find and replace on it and then reimport it... but it sounds like a bit of a headache. Is there a better way?

One of the data type is BigDecimal and when i try to set calling preparedstatement, it is throwing null pointer exception.     Is it considered crazy to store common SQL queries for my web app in a database for use in execution? Or is that common practice? Or is it impossible? My thinking is, this way, I avoid hard-coding SQL into my application files, and add another level of abstraction. Is this crazy? Is this what a stored procedure is? Or is that something else?

  • C# Application process hangs after some time

    Hi, I implemented a simple C# application which inserts about 350000 records into the database. This used to work well and the process took approximately 20 minutes. I created a progress bar which lets you know approximately the progress of the records insertion. When the progress bar reaches about 75% it stops progressing. I have to manually terminate the program as the process doesn't seem to complete. If I use less data (like 10000), the progress bar finishes and the process is completed. However when I try to insert all the records, this won't happen any more. Note that if I wait longer to terminate the program manually, more records would have been inserted. For example, if I terminate the program after 15 minutes, 200000 records are inserted, whereas if I terminate the program after 20 minutes, 250000 records are inserted. This program is using a single thread. In face I can't do anything else until the process is complete. Does this have anything to do with threading or processes? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    We have some problems with users performing a specific action twice, we have a mechanism to ensure that users can't do it but somehow it still happens. Here is how our current mechanism works: Client side: The button will be disabled after 1 click. Server side: We have a key hash in the URL which will be checked against the key stored in SESSIONS, once it matches, the key is deleted. Database side: Once the action is performed, there is a field to be flagged indicating the user has completed the action. However, with all these measures, still there are users able to perform the action twice, are there any more safer methods?

QTY is a derived column | Position | QTY -------------------- 1 Clerk 2 2 Mgr 2 Here's what I'm not having luck with: SELECT Position, Count(position) AS 'QTY' FROM tblemployee Where ('QTY' != 1) GROUP BY Position I know that my Position is set up as varchar(255) Count produces a integer data and my where clasue is accurate so that leads me to believe that that Count() is jamming me up. So the title of the post echos itself multiple times. Is there a way to have it echo only once?
