  • How to process audio in real time?

    I am giving some audio input through microphone. I recorded it in Audacity, it looks something like as shown below. I want to process this audio in real time. I mainly want to do this. 1) see real time audio amplitude vs time graph 2) perform some actions based on some thing (like if a specific type of hike is seen in audio, then do something, else do something else) Is there any python module or C library that can allow me to do this ?

  • jQuery Prototype conflict, alternative solutions

    I have a problem as I'm conditionally including the Prototype-based Lightbox script for IE6 as it works better than the jQuery plugin. Of course the two libraries conflict but the official solution is not really feasible for me as i would have to replace tons of $ with the alternative no-conflict syntax. Is there any other solution for me, keeping in mind that in my case it would be easier to have Prototype work nicely with jQuery than the other way around?

    I want to write a map/reduce job to select a number of random samples from a large dataset based on a row level condition. I want to minimize the number of intermediate keys. Pseudocode: for each row if row matches condition put the row.id in the bucket if the bucket is not already large enough Have you done something like this? Is there any well known algorithm? A sample containing sequential rows is also good enough. Thanks.

  • jQuery AutoComplete with three levels of suggestions?

    I am building a django based application and its time to add the DHTML stuff. One of my fields represent a database field with this format databaseName.tableName.fieldName I would like to have javascript autocompletion in three levels, say once I type part of the database names I get a list of all matching databases, one that is selected I get a list of all tables, and once that is selected I get a list of all fields in that table, all in the same textfield.     Hi, my app presents a listview, from a database cursor and XML, that needs to replace the values in a column with various words based on the integer value contained in the cursor. For example, if the value is -1, replace it with the word "Invalid", but if the value is = 0 then just display the value. I was under the impression this could magically be done via XML... TIA.

SELECT id, LOWER(title) as title, LOWER(sub_title) as sub_title FROM ebay_archive_listing WHERE MATCH(title, sub_title) AGAINST ("key" IN BOOLEAN MODE) However it is not finding rows where the title contains the word "key". "key" is generated dynamically based on a set of keywords, so sometimes it contains + and - symbols.

  • How can I display different icons for same file extension

    Visual Studio has *.SLN files for 2008, and 2010. In explorer, the icon associated with the file is based on the version somehow. I was always under the impression that the associated icon just looked at the extension, but obviously there is more going on.     I am generating some Xaml based on some other source of input. In some cases I am generating x:Name values but they have invalid characters. I found this article on MSDN: XamlName Grammar Which describes the grammar of a x:Name tag but doesn't tell me how to actually apply this. Clearly there is some code to validate this name at runtime but what is the easiest way to actually fix up a string with invalid characters?
