• How to find a hidden streaming video/audio link and record it

  I've been using 'URL snooper' to find the hidden streaming url. And feed that url to VLC to record streaming video/audio. But the VLC can't read those url. Then I also found that the url is like a floating url that changes every several hours. So the same audio station won't have same url. The streaming audio provider has bunches of audio stations and shuffle the link frequently. Is there any way to record the streaming media in this case? Please advise, thanks.

I need to expose a database from a Java Server but i only see Microsot providing clients for java not server parts. How is that an open standard when you need .NET/Windows to expose it? • Is it possible to install Windows Server 2012 on a Dell PowerEdge with PERC S100 card?

  According to Dell's own website, the Windows Server 2012 media driver "inbox" does not contain drivers for the Perc S100 controller that is in a Dell PowerEdge T110 II server we'd like to evaluate with Server 2012. I have found drivers only for Server 2008 R2, which is what the server is currently running. Is it possible to upgrade this server? (Booting up the Server 2012 DVD image leads to the expected result that it can not locate the system's hard drives or its hard drive controller card, as the drivers for the PERC S100 are not on the installation DVD image.)

• How to create a virtual input in windows from an audio stream

  Great to find this forum full of knowledge. I was wondering if anyone knew of an application or other work around to create a virtual input device in windows. I have a IP cam app on my android phone, that I would like to use for skype webcam. It comes with a port for getting the video feed into skype, and that works great. However, the only audio available, is a OGG stream. Both video and audio work great with media players such as VLC etc, but ot with skype, since skype only works with windows input devices. Is there such software outthere, in which I could simply name my audio stream address, and pipe that to a virtual input device to allow skype to find it?

  I'm really new to this oauth stuff. I want to access a user's google reader liked items feed. This blog says that oauth doesn't work (yet) with google reader. The working way seems to be to get the user's google credentials (email, password) directly, and login directly to google. This also gives me access to the rest of their services. Is there a better way, or must the user trust me with their google credentials?

  I am looking for a solution to backup and consolidate important media from a couple Windows laptops and Mac laptop. I would like a solutions that based on open standards, so my data isn't trapped by proprietary formats and proprietary protocols. I would like the ability to switch clients or change providers in the future. For example, something like Jungle Disk plus S3 sounds like a great option. However, I am having trouble confirming how or if this can be setup meeting this criteria. Are there any real or de-facto standards for treating S3 as a filesystem? • nVidia driver is not installed for x64 Windows 7 (Vaio VGN-SZ460N)

  I just upgraded memory to 4GB for Sony Vaio VGN-SZ460N laptop and trying to install Windows 7 x64. All works fine with default drivers, except video - I am not able to set resolution more than 1024x768. Technical specification says that this model is using: Chipset : Intel® 945GM Processor : NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 notebook graphics processing unit (GPU) and Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 I was trying to use Intel 945GM driver, for Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and get error: This computer does not meet the mininum requirements for installing the software Also, I was trying to download nVidia GeForce Go 7400 x64 but it says that there is no compatible hardware. Actually, it has disclaimer that those drivers doesn't work for Sony vaio and recomendation to use OEM website. Sony website has only 32-bit version of driver which says that it cannot be installed and x64 should be used... Any ideas?

  I have an Nvidia hardware RAID 1 array and need to reformat. But I don't have any spare storage media, so I need to get along with the 2 disks in the array. I figured I'd do as follows: Delete the array, so I have 2 separate but identical disks, A and B, with my files Put disk B aside Reformat disk A, build RAID 1 array with it, install Windows XP Put disk B back in Boot to Windows on disk A, copy my files from disk B to disk A Add disk B to the RAID 1 array, rebuild array And now I'd have a new RAID 1 array, fresh install and all my files intact (the ones I copied). Here are the parts I'm unsure about: Can I build a RAID 1 array using just one disk, then add the other one later? Can Windows on disk A see disk B and allow me to copy my files over?

• Batch Convert .mkv to .mp4

  I want to batch convert all .mkv files in a folder into .mp4 with VLC. It should use the original video-/audio stream and if possible the .ass subtitle of the .mkv. It's not really a conversion, it's more like changing the container – my player can't read the MKV videos. If I do this conversion by hand (manually) it works, but I have a lot of MKV files to convert, so it would take a lot of time. I have searched the internet for a batch file to do this and I found a few. I tried to modify them to my wish, but all attempts I tried just created a .mp4 file that doesn't contain the audio stream and the video stream also cannot be rendered by all my media players on the PC. So could someone tell me how the batch has to look like, so it works with the original video and audio stream (and maybe .ass subtitles)?

  Hi, I have a Gigabyte motherboard with an onboard Realtek HD sound card. The card is working perfectly everywhere, except for a single video format, where the voice is distorted, sounds as if it's been passed through a metal tube. Been googling for this, but couldn't find an answer anywhere. The movie plays fine on other systems (got Linux everywhere else), but on this one (winXP-x64-sp2) it just doesn't.   Initially I deployed packages on SQL server but since my machine is not having SSIS installed I faced issue of version while executing the packages. Then I deployed packages to file system on server which has SQL server enterprise edition with SSIS installed on it.
