• Azure git deployment - missing references in 2nd assembly

  I'm trying to setup Bitbucket deployment to an Azure website. I successfully have Bitbucket and Azure linked, but when I push to Bitbucket, I get the following error on the Azure site: If I click on 'View Log', it shows the following compile errors: D:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(1578,5): warning MSB3245: Could not resolve this reference. • System.Reflection and InvokeMember, storing type, assembly, and object in a class

  I have tested code to call a method inside of a compiled DLL, and it works. I created a class to store the object, type, and loaded assembly, but something is lost in translation because it is unable to find the member I wish to invoke. If I create a type, object, and assembly, and properly load everything into these and perform InvokeMember on the type, it works just fine. However, when I use the things inside of my class, it throws a MissingMemberException and does not invoke the member, obviously. What am I doing wrong? The member in question is a subroutine which takes one argument, a string. This is quite frustrating. • TwoWay Binding With ItemsControl

  I'm trying to write a user control that has an ItemsControl, the ItemsTemplate of which contains a TextBox that will allow for TwoWay binding. However, I must be making a mistake somewhere in my code, because the binding only appears to work as if Mode=OneWay. • Dependency Properties and Data Context in Silverlight 3

  Hello, I am working with Silverlight 3 beta, and am having an issue. I have a page that has a user control that I worte on it. The user control has a dependency property on it. If the user control does not define a data context (hence using the parent's data context), all works well. But if the user control has its own data context, the dependency property's OnPropertyChanged method never gets called.   Hi! I created a report in VS using a shared data source which is connected to a sharepoint list. I have created a parameter and when I preview the Report I see the dropdownbox which I can use to make a selection from the Title field, when I do this it still shows the first record, obviously it doens't work yet (DUH!) because I need to create a query somewhere, But! I have no idea where, I tried to include <Where> <Eq> <FieldRef Name="ows_Title" /> <Value Type="Text">testValue</Value> </Eq> </Where> in the the soap request but it didn't worked... I've searched teh intarwebz but couldn't find any simliar problems... kinda stuck now...any thoughts on this? • WinQual: Why would WER not accept code-signing certificates?

  In 2005 i tried to establish a WinQual account with Microsoft, so i could pick up our (if any) crash dump files submitted automatically through Windows Error Reporting (WER). i was not allowed to have my crash dumps, because i don't have a Verisign certificate. Instead i have a cheaper one, generated by a Verisign subsidiary: Thawte. The method in which you join is: you digitally sign a sample exe they provide. This proves that you are the same signer that signed apps that they got crash dumps from in the wild. Cryptographically, the private key is needed to generate a digital signature on an executable. Only the holder of that private key can create a signature with for the matching public key. It doesn't matter who generated that private key. That includes certificates that are generated from: self-signing Wells Fargo DigiCert SecureTrust Trustware QuoVadis GoDaddy Entrust Cybertrust GeoTrust GlobalSign Comodo Thawte Verisign Yet Microsof's WinQual only accepts digital certificates generated by Verisign. Not even Verisign's subsidiaries are good enough (Thawte). Can anyone think of any technical, legal or ethical reason why Microsoft doesn't want to accept code-signing certificates? The WinQual site says: Why Is a Digital Certificate Required for Winqual Membership? A digital certificate helps protect your company from individuals who seek to impersonate members of your staff or who would otherwise commit acts of fraud against your company. Using a digital certificate enables proof of an identity for a user or an organization. Is somehow a Thawte digital certificate not secure? Two years later, i sent a reminder notice to WinQual that i've been waiting to be able to get at my crash dumps. The response from WinQual team was: Hello, Thanks for the reminder. We have notified the appropriate people that this is still a request. In 2008 i asked this question in a Microsoft support forum, and the response was: We are only setup to accept VeriSign Certificates at this point. We have not had an overwhelming demand to support other types of certificates. What can it possibly mean to not be "setup" to accept other kinds of certificates? If the thumbprint of the key that signed the WinQual.exe test app is the same as the thumbprint that signed the executable who's crash dump you got in the wild: it is proven - they are my crash dumps, give them to me. And it's not like there's a special API to check if a Verisign digital signature is valid, as opposed to all other digital signatures. A valid signature is valid no matter who generated the key. Microsoft is free to not trust the signer, but that's not the same as identity. So that is my question, can anyone think of any practical reason why WinQual isn't setup to support digital signatures? One person theorized that the answer is that they're just lazy: Not that I know but I would assume that the team running the winQual system is a live team and not a dev team - as in, personality and skillset geared towards maintenance of existing systems. I could be wrong though. They don't want to do work to change it. But can anyone think of anything that would need to be changed? It's the same logic no matter what generated the key: "does the thumbprint match". What am i missing?

• WPF: Focus in a Window and UserControl

  I'm trying to get a UserControl to tab properly and am baffled. The logical tree looks like this. |-Window -Grid -TabControl -TabItem -StackPanel -MyUserControl |-StackPanel -GroupBox -Grid -ComboBox -Textbox1 -Textbox2 Everything works fine, except when the visibility converter for the ComboBox returns Visibility.Collapsed (don't allow user to change database mode), then when textbox1 is selected, instead of being able to tab through the controls in the UserControl, the focus shifts to a button declared at the bottom of the window. Nothing else apart from the controls displayed has TabIndex or FocusManager properties set. I'm banging my head against a brick wall and I must be missing something. • GMLib Could not complete the operation due to error 80020101

  I get this error "Could not complete the operation due to error 80020101." at random times when displaying a map with a marker on it. I use Delphi 2007 and GMLib [1.2.0 Final]. I have read up on the issue and some suggestions was that the problem is due to commenting or bad syntax in java code, and it was suggested that i take out all the commenting and check for errors in the java code. This i did, i recompiled and reinstalled GMLib after modifying the map.html file. I stripped it of all commenting and parsed it through ie for faults but found none, as expected. But the problem still occurs.   Hi, I'm developing a solution for SharePoint 2007, and I'm using SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges a lot, passing in UserToken of the SystemAccount. After reading http://hristopavlov.wordpress.com/2009/01/19/understanding-sharepoint-sprequest/ I finally began to understand why I get these System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80010102): Attempted to make calls on more than one thread in single threaded mode. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010102 (RPC_E_ATTEMPTED_MULTITHREAD)) errors, but there seems to be no solution - "known issue in the product" The article is more then a year old. I wasn't able to find anything more recent and helpful, but I was hoping maybe someone else has? My code goes like this SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate() { using (SPSite elevatedSite = new SPSite(web.Site.ID, web.Site.SystemAccount.UserToken)) { using (SPWeb elevatedWeb = elevatedSite.OpenWeb(web.ID)) { // some operations on lists and items obtained through elevatedWeb } } } The errors come up wherever such an elevated code is used, and more often when there are more users who use these functionalities, so I guess perhaps the elevated SPSite is getting cached and reused. Is there any way to solve this? If my understanding is correct, how to make Sharepoint forget about the cached SPSites, and use a fresh one instead? Thanks

This web service is dependent on session state to function properly, but so far, I have been enable to get session state to work at all in SharePoint 2010. This web service runs as its own web application under t he /_vti_bin virtual directory. I have tried all of the following with no luck: Ensured the "State Service" service application is running. Added the System.Web.SessionState.SessionStateModule http module to my application's web.config file. Added the System.Web.SessionState.SessionStateModule http module to my SharePoint root web.config file. Added <pages enableSessionState="true" /> to my application's web.config file. Added <pages enableSessionState="true" /> to my root web.config file. Additional Environment info: Visual Studio 2008 - SP1 .NET 3.5 - SP1 SharePoint 2010 - RC Windows Server 2008 R2 ASMX web service (not WCF) Had anyone had any luck getting a web application or web service to use session state in SharePoint 2010 yet?   I am trying to use NAnt in order to compile and sign an assembly using the vbc compiler. I have a project set up and am able to successfully sign the assembly compiling with VS2010. When I try to sign it using the command line I get this error: vbc : error BC30140: Error creating assembly manifest: Error signing assembly -- The parameter is incorrect. So the only way I can currently get this to build correctly is to set properties on the project to tell it which key file to use and to sign the assembly.

• Writing a docx file to a BLOB using Java 1.4 inside Oracle 10g

  I'm trying to generate a blank docx file using Java, add some text, then write it to a BLOB that I can return to our document processing engine (a custom mess of PL/SQL and Java). I have to use the 1.4 JVM inside Oracle 10g, so no Java 1.5 stuff. I don't have a problem writing the docx to a file on my local machine, but when I try to write to BLOB, I'm getting garbage. Am I doing something dumb? Any help is appreciated.   I inherited some Delphi components/code that currently compiles with C++ Builder 2007. I'm simply now trying to compile the components with C++ Builder RAD XE. I don't know Delphi (object pascal). Here are the versions of the 'Supports' functions that appear to be in conflict. Is there a compiler switch I can use to make RAD XE backward compatible? • Specifying the bounce-back address for email

  I'm having a problem getting emails to bounce to a specific email address, different to the From address. A particular client requires that we send emails from a specific email address (call it [email protected]). Our Exchange admins have created an account on the Exchange box so that we can log in and send from that address. Our Exchange server is spoofing that address / domain. This works fine. Unfortunately the emails sent from [email protected] are not bouncing back to us. They are presumably bouncing back to the contact account at clientcompany.com (which may or may not exist). I've inserted a header [email protected] with the assumption that this field determines where bouncebacks are sent. Other documents indicate that this field should never be populated by the originating SMTP system. Other websites again talk about a field called Errors-To which is apparently non-standard. So - which field is the correct one, and what does it depend on? Any ideas why my Return-Path is not working? I'd really like to get Exchange to correctly bounce a message addressed to an invalid server! update: Continuing to dig, and my Return-Path work was only adding an extended property at the end of the header block, but Exchange appears to be still adding its own Return-Path value at the top. Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: by 1.1.1.1 with SMTP ... Return-Path: <[email protected]> Received: from ... ... ... Subject: Test Message-ID: ... Return-Path: [email protected] According to the Microsoft.com, I cannot set the Return-Path as it is determined by the MAIL FROM - which seems consistent with what I've previously read. But now I'm stuck - how do I change this MAIL FROM value programmatically within Exchange 2007?

  I need some help regarding the above title. After applying SP1 pack on our SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 3.0) the workflows aren't working anymmore on one of the WebApplications (located in SSP2) Workflows work, however on other existing applications (on SSP1 or SSP2) or newly created applications (on SSP1 or SSP2). Details of error: 1. Default / Built in SharePoint Workflows are not starting 2. Sharepoint Designer Workflows throwing the following error message: "You do not have permissions to do this operation. Ask your website administrator to change your pemissions and then try again, or log on with another account that has this permission. To log on with another user account click ok. " 3. Before applying the SP1 on MOSS the workflows were working perfectly fine on this WebApplication. so far: 1. I am logged in as Administrator (bot on Sharepoint site or when working with Sharepoint Designer). 2. Administrator is included in the list Site Collection Administrators 3. I noticed in Sharepoint designer that the username used for creating the workflow is 'converted' into SHAREPOINT\system (in the Modified By Column). Has anybody come accross/fixed this error?   I've been tasked with porting a legacy Delphi application over to C# .Net. The original delphi developer left several months before I was hired. I'm receiving the E2010 Incompatible types: 'Integer' and 'Char' error for the below method. I'm trying to compile the application within the Delphi 2007 IDE, I've been told that original application is either Delphi 4 or 5 if that helps any. I understand what the error is telling me but I don't understand why\how it is applied to the code snippet below. Any help\direction would be greatly appreciated. • SharePoint Webpart and ASP.NET User Control

  I am developing SharePoint Web Parts for MOSS 2007 on Visual Studio 2008. Up until now, I've been adding all my controls by hand to the code behind... but an earlier post suggested I could use the designer to create an ASP.NET User Control, then add it to the webpart, and everything is happy... See figure 5 for an example. However, I can't seem to add a new ASP.NET User Control to my MOSS WebPart project, the template just doesn't appear. If I create a WebApplication and make my User Control in there, I can't see any SharePoint templates to add to the project. Finally, I tried copying a simple aspx file and its code behind to my webpart directly, and adding them as an "existing component"... but now the designer won't recognize the aspx file. Next, I'd probably try adding two projects to my solution, and just referencing any dll's from the ASP.NET application... So how do I get an ASP control into my SharePoint WebPart project so that I can use the Visual Studio designer?

  I am going trough the OWASP Top 10 list of 2007 and 2010. I stumbled upon Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) this is often called session riding as you let the user usee his session to fulfill your wishes. Now a solution to this is adding a token to every url and this token is checked for every link. For example to vote on product x the url would be: 'http://mysite.com?token=HVBKJNKL' This looks like a solid solution to because a hacker can not guess the token. But I was thinking of the following scenario(I do not know if it is possible): You create a website with an hidden iFrame or div. After that you can load my website in it either using just the normal iFrame or ajax. When you have my website loaded hidden inside your website, and the user has a stored session, the following can be done. You can retrieve the token from the URLS, and still do all the actions needed. Is it possible to do something like this. Or is it not possible to do this cross domain.
