• E-mail message of failed lock not identifying affected Lotus Notes documents

  I have a user who was sent several messages to his Outlook account with the following subject: Changes made to the database xxxx have NOT been incorporated into the database. There was a conflict detected. Your changes may be found in body of this message. A document link to the original document is attached to the end of the message. Unfortunately, besides the link, the body of the email is blank and the link URL is of this form: Notes:///482567CC001B4104. The link seems to be making reference to the database replica ID and clicking on the link opens up the database and not directly to the affected document. I'm finding that the message is not very useful in terms of identifying the affected document. Can anyone advise me on the ways to identify the affected documents or configure the system so that it would identify/link the affected documents?

• In Google Webmaster Tools we have 3 sitemaps attributed to 1 domain

  Thanks for you advice and help ahead of time I have a website that has been on the internet for almost 10 years created in "Microsoft Frontpage" with over 900 pages. Currently in Google Webmaster tools it shows up as 2 domains and 3 sitemaps: http://www.example.com example.com hostedsitmaps.com Furthermore, since we were having hard to placing the xml sitemap on our site(Frontpage Issues) we decided to hire pro-sitemaps.com to create, host and upload the xml file which they did. Thus, I have another site hostedsitemaps.com on our webmaster tools for the site. Hosted sitemaps shows: 900 urls submitted 800 Indexed. Crawl errors and Search queries: No data available http://www.example.com shows: 889 URLs submitted 1 URLs indexed. Crawl Errors: 14 Soft 404 796 Not found Search Queries: 8104 example.com shows: 889 URLs submitted 1 URLs indexed Crawl errors: 48 Soft 404 91 Not found Search Queries: 8104 My questions and need for help are as followed: 1. Why are our domain based sites in webmaster tools ( example.com and http:www.example.com) showing only 1 URL indexed while the hostedsitemap has 800 indexed? 2. Should we have 3 domains configured for this "one" domain in Google Webmaster tools? 3. Should we eliminate/delete the hostedsitemap from webmaster tools completely and take off that XML sitemap? 4 Does having example.com and http://www.example.com impact web ranking? 5. Any other thoughts or help in this very complicated matter for us. Thanks.

• In windows xp, how can I set the default browser from chrome to IE via Command Line, without admin privs

  Situation: 1. Need to Set the defualt browser to IE via cmd(problem) 2. Need to do a citrix login via IE(amounts to loading a url) beause it wont run in google chrome 3. then set default browser to chrome Environment: Windows XP, no admin priv's no admin priv's mean I can't touch registry Basic Steps I'm Doing: In a bat file: 1.Set default browser to IE 2.run a citrix SSO login via IE (not compatible with chrome) 3.Set default browser to Chrome 4.kill IE 5.live long and prosper So i have it all running except "Set default browser to IE" I can set the default browser to chome by using portable chrome's cmd line argument --make-default-browser but I can't undo that process. If I launch IE, it pops up that 'make ie default browser' window which stops the SSO process. So If I can disable that check via bat file, that would also work for me. • Installing List Compenent on Sharepoint Server

  I added the Sharepoint site to the 'Document Management' section in CRM with the List Components checked and it added it with no problem. Also when I navigate to the 'Documents' section under an account it shows up with the format of the List components. However, if i click on 'New' or 'Actions' I get the following error message: An Error has occured in the script on this page. Error: Access is denied URL: https://*serveraddress*/crmgrid/scripts/crmmenu.htc Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? I have ran the power script which added the MIME .htc extention to IIS. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

• VLC - Adding to playlist

  I am using Songr to find/stream songs and double click them to play in VLC which basically "plays" the URL. But as I am listening to one item and search for another and double click another item from the results, it replaces the currently playing item in VLC. How do I set it up such that double clicking adds to the current playlist? When I see now is that it adds the new item to the end of the playlist and proceeds to play it. Any ideas? Thanks

  I have the 1.5 version of StarterSTS sitting here for quite some time now. But I was always reluctant to release it. Some of the reasons are: too many new features for a single (small) version change. to many features that are optional, like bridged authentication and thus make the code very complex. the way I implemented Azure integration adds a dependency on the Azure SDK, even for “on-premise” installations. I don’t like that. the fact I am using some WebForms bits and some WCF bits, the URL structure got messy. WebForms also don’t help a lot in testability All of the above reasons together plus the fact that I am the only architect, developer and tester on this project made me come to the conclusion that I will cancel this release. But wait… StarterSTS 1.5 is fully functional. We use both the on-premise and Azure versions internally “in production”. Cancelling means I will release the latest source code on Codeplex – but will not mark it as a “recommended release”. I also won’t produce updated screen casts and docs. Bu the setup is very similar to earlier versions. Feel free to use and customize 1.5 and give me feedback. On the good news front, I am working on a new version – welcome thinktecture IdentityServer. This version is based on MVC3 and the routing architecture, removed a lot of the clutter, has a SQL CE4 based configuration system, is more extensible – and in overall just cleaner. I will be able to upload CTPs very soon.

When I run this: curl --ssl https://www.google.com I get this error: curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate More details here: http://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html curl performs SSL certificate verification by default, using a "bundle" of Certificate Authority (CA) public keys (CA certs). If the default bundle file isn't adequate, you can specify an alternate file using the --cacert option. If this HTTPS server uses a certificate signed by a CA represented in the bundle, the certificate verification probably failed due to a problem with the certificate (it might be expired, or the name might not match the domain name in the URL). If you'd like to turn off curl's verification of the certificate, use the -k (or --insecure) option.

• How to use mencoder to speed up video ?

  There's a webcam streaming WMV video that I can play/record with mplayer/mencoder (Debian Lenny including Debian-multimedia) just fine. I'd like to capture the video such that, when played back, it's faster (so say 100s of real time zooms past in every 1s of video). The "frameskip" filter seems like it ought to do this, but when I try e.g mencoder -o output.avi -ofps 25 -vf framestep=100 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:... <mms source URL> what I actually get is something which plays for the same length of time as it's allowed to capture for, but which only updates the displayed image every 4 seconds. Is there any way mencoder can be persuaded to do what I want ? (By the way, ideally I'd like to average the frames together to obtain motion-blur instead of just dropping/discarding most of them.).

• SharePoint Server Search Not Crawling

  Hi there, we recently moved some sites into a new farm, everything seems to be doing fine, but the search for reasons I can't identify are not crawling the migrated content. We're getting this message in our crawl log for every document: http://xxx/sites/...announcements The object was not found. (The item was deleted because it was either not found or the crawler was denied access to it.) Of course the first thing I suspected was the crawler access account, so I logged into SharePoint with the account and was able to access via that URL just fine. I tried upping permissions (even all the way up to Admin) but to no avail. Thoughts?

• Jenkins shows same information for all projects

  I've been using Jenkins for the last month or so and what started out as a small issue has gotten worse and worse. I have 10 projects in Jenkins, all polling from different Git repos and building to different environments but they all show the same details on the dashboard. I can still build the projects, but I have to manually enter the URL to see any console output etc. I'm running 1.536 under Ubuntu 12.04, there's not much in the logs other than the following; Oct 22, 2013 2:21:19 PM WARNING jenkins.model.lazy.AbstractLazyLoadRunMap search JENKINS-15652 Assertion error #1: failing to load /data/builds #20 EXACT: lo=23,hi=9,size=23,size2=23 – Any ideas?

• can't open web pages in google chrome

  When I type in google chrome "google.com" I receive such error: 404. That’s an error. The requested URL /cgi-bin/authme?s=0.2068704296834766 was not found on this server. That’s all we know. It seems I'm redirected somehow by some reason. Probably lenovo notebook problem? At the same time IE works fine. This problem reproducable with other webpages too, for example i'm redirected from vkontakte.ru to such web page which doesn't exist too http://www.vkontakte.ru/cgi-bin/authme?s=0.7140683813486247 Also I see such message when chrome starts "Lütfen yönlendirilirken bekleyin", this is very strange because I only have russian and english languages installed in system.

  One of the common queries when importing the tables via JDBC with 11gR2 is determining why the import wizard doesn’t display the tables that you think it should. I often just use the script below to dump out the schemas, tables and columns that the JDBC driver is returning. This is useful in a few areas; to figure out what the schema name is returned to double check with the schema name you have used in the location (this is used in the DatabaseMetaData.getTables API call within the basic JDBC metadata import. to figure out the data types returned from the JDBC driver when you see columns skipped because of no datatype supported messages. also…I can do it via scripting and don’t need to recompile classes and stuff :-) Edit the tcl script and set the JDBC driver, the connection URL and the username and password (they are at the bottom of the script), the script then calls a basic tcl procedure which writes to standard out the schemas, tables and columns with various properties. For example I executed it using the XML JDBC driver from ODI over a simple customers XML file and it writes the following metadata; You can add more details as you need and execute from the OMBPlus panel within OWB. Well, we definitely need a way for export/import our artifacts from/to this repository.   Oracle BI Publisher report development approach is based on such a shared repository model (catalog), and starting from BI Publisher 11.1.1.5 Oracle ships Catalog Utility, which can be utilized to export/import the reports from the command line.  To start using the BI Publisher Catalog Utility you should: Go to the file system of the server where BI Publisher binaries has been installed and locate the following file: <MW_HOME>/Oracle_BI1/clients/bipublisher/BIPCatalogUtil.zip Copy the file to your local filesystem and unzip it. I will refer to this unzipped directory as <BIP_CLIENT_DIR> below If you do not want to pass server BI Publisher server URL, username and password during each invocation, modify the corresponding values inside <BIP_CLIENT_DIR>/config/xmlp-client-config.xml Open the terminal window and go to <BIP_CLIENT_DIR>/bin Make sure that the following environment variables are set: JAVA_HOME, ORACLE_HOME Now it's time to run the utility: if you are on Linux - just run BIPCatalogUtil.sh and pass the parameters according to the utility documentation if you are on MS Windows the bad news are that the command script for MS Windows is missing, and support.oracle.com note 1333726.1 says that a temporary solution is "create a .cmd file by setting up a classpath and copying the same commands from the .sh script".   I've got a user that I'd like to only be able to use subversion. We like to use svn+ssh:// URLs sometimes (for public keys and whatnot), so I need them to be able to connect over ssh and run only the svnserve command. When using a svn+ssh URL, svn ssh'es in and passes the arguments "-c svnserve -t". I wrote a custom shell as follows to filter the commands that can be run. This works, but it's not passing the input to svnserve, so when I try to "svn up" I get "svn: Connection closed unexpectedly". #!/bin/bash if [ "$1" == "-c" ] && [ "$2" == "svnserve" ] && [ "$3" == "-t" ] && [ "$4" == ""] ; then exec svnserve -t else echo "Access denied. • Is there a way to add a custom favicon to an App Tab?

  Since the release of Firefox "5", I've come to really love the new "App Tabs" feature. However, I've now realized that several internal websites at work do not have favicons. So, when I make an App Tab out of these sites, there's only a "blank page" icon in the tab. Perhaps I wouldn't mind so much if there was only one, but there's at least two or three of these. So, it's just a bit annoying to have to mouse-over the App Tabs to figure out which is what. I've tried using Favicon Picker 2 to change the bookmark icons, but it only does exactly that - changes the icon in the bookmarks folder. It doesn't change the favicon that's displayed next to the URL in the Address Bar, or the one next to the page title in tabs - the latter being that which is used for the App Tab icon. So, is there a plugin or other client-side (and preferably "Joe User" friendly) method to assign an icon to a web page or domain, that will be used in the tab bar?

  I want a file on my hard drive in Windows 7 to sync to my public dropbox folder. I can do this with: mklink /H "c:\dropbox\Public\test.txt" "c:\data\test.txt" And the first time after I do this, the file c:\dropbox\Public\test.txt is indeed created, and is available online via http://dl.dropbox.com/u/.../test.txt. And when I update the file c:\data\test.txt then indeed the file c:\dropbox\Public\test.txt reflects the changes, however: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/.../test.txt does not reflect the changes since DropBox somehow doesn't get the information that that file was changed. What is a workaround or another solution to this so that any changes in the original file is also reflected in the dropbox URL link?

• Weird unexpected image compression on a web server running Apache on Ubuntu?

  I have a weird problem on my production web server running Apache on Ubuntu: it compresses my images thereby dramatically lowering their quality! Actually I have two virtual hosts running, each located in a different folder. Wether I display .gif images by navigating on the two sites, or acceding them directly by their url, their size and quality are invariably degraded. I tried with three different browsers: same problem. Using them on other sites on the Web: no problem. Of course I disabled mod_deflate on the server (which should not compress images anyway), but the phenomenon remains. On my local développement server, running the same configuration, everything is Ok. Now I'm completely lost! For the record, my configuration: Ubuntu 10.04, Apache 2, Php 5.
