  • OpenAM throwing 302 0 behind haproxy, nginx

    I'm having some issues with my deployment and was wondering if you can help. My set up is as follows: 2 OpenAM servers are set up behind a load balancer (HAproxy). The load balancer is set up behind two reverse proxies (nginx). The two reverse proxies are ser up behind another load balancer (haproxy). So a request will go through Haproxy nginx Haproxy openam I can access the OpenAM web console through the reverse proxies without a problem. Everything works fine at this level. However when I access openam through the load balancer in front of the reverse proxies Openam throws a 302 error. The funny thing is however I can access the host/openam/UI/Login and login successfully. I even get the cookie and have access to my apps that are set up. However immediately after the login OpenAM throws a 302 redirect. I'm puzzled and cannot figure out what is going wrong. Does anyone have any idea?     Where can I find a collection of 10-100 3D scenes with photorealistic levels of detail? For example, the scene rendered here contains photorealistic detail. Note I want the underlying object models, textures, etc, not final renderings. I'll be using these scenes to test a computer vision idea. BTW, this is a reposting of this question. I wasn't able to find a Stack Exchange site that is perfectly suited to the question, but as this is a modeling and rendering question, I'm hoping it is a good enough match for the venue.

    Hi, I have an WPF Microsoft Surface Applikation and I'm using MVVM-Pattern. I have some buttons that are created in code behind. And I would like to bind commands to them but I only know how that works in the XAML like this: <Custom:SurfaceButton Command="{Binding SaveReservationCommandBinding, Mode=OneWay}"/> But I cannot do it like this because my buttons do not exist in the XAML, only in the code behind. So how would a command binding like that works in code behind?

    Hi, I am an experienced developer but I am new to web application development. Now I am in charge of developing a new web application and I could really use some input from experienced web developers out there. I'd like to understand exactly what experienced web developers do in the code-behind pages. At first I thought it was best to have a rule that all the database access and business logic should be performed in classes external to the code-behind pages. My thought was that only logic necessary for the web form would be performed in the code-behind. I still think that all the business logic should be performed in other classes but I'm beginning to think it would be alright if the code-behind had access to the database to query it directly rather than having to call other classes to receive a dataset or collection back. Any input would be appreciated.

  • NTLM Authentication fails when behind Proxy server

    Hi All, I've seen a number of post about consuming Web Services from behind a proxy server, but none that seams to address this problem. I'm building a desktop application, using Java, JAX-WS in NetBeans. I have a working prototype, that can query the server for authentication mode, successfully authenticate and retrieve a list of web site. However, if I run the same app from a network that is behind a proxy server (the proxy does not require authentication), then I'm running into trouble. I know from the Java docs that On Microsoft Windows platforms, NTLM authentication attempts to acquire the user credentials from the system without prompting the user's authenticator object. If these credentials are not accepted by the server then the user's authenticator will be called. Given that my Authentication code is called only ones, and only as the 5th attempt, it appears as if the connection is dropped when behind the proxy server before my Authentication object is used. Is there any way I can control the behavior of Authentication module, to not have it use the system credentials?   • Linux servers seeing bad download performance behind Sonicwall firewall

    I'm working with a pair of co-located CentOS Linux servers sitting behind a Sonicwall PRO 2040 Enhanced firewall running in transparent bridge mode. These servers are having a strange problem downloading files more than a few megabytes in size. For example, if I try to wget or FTP a copy of the Linux kernel from kernel.org, the first ~1-2MB will download at 600+K/s, and then throughput will drop off a cliff to 1K/s. I've reviewed all the firewall configuration settings for anything suspicious, but found nothing. More interestingly, I performed the same download with a Windows server sitting behind the same firewall, and it sailed right through at 600+K/s the whole way. Has anyone seen this? Where should I start looking to troubleshoot this problem?

    My company has a JBoss cluster sitting behind a firewall that performs NAT. We forward ports to JBoss from the firewall, so that our client application can access the server. We are having trouble when JBoss replies it tells the clients to connect to the internal hostname, not the external one with which the initial connection was made. Is this something that is easily resolved/configured? How are other JBoss app servers configured behind NAT firewalls? Split-horizon DNS? Many Thanks

  • VPN Error 619: Behind Cisco Router WRT310N

    I've researched a lot on all the forums and this error is too generic for any of the proposed solutions to work. I'll try to give as much detail and tried solutions. I'm running a CentOS PPTP server behind a Cisco WRT310N Router. Multiple clients from outside with different OS have failed with the same error 619, along with turning off windows firewall and disabling antivirus. I believe this is a router and IP routing issue, and not a client issue. When I connect from a client on the same router as the VPN server, it works when I use the 192. network address- but doesn't work with the public IP address. I've tried telnet to port 1723 from an outside server and I get in. I've opened up the VPN port (1723) on the router, VPN udp port (500), and the GRE port (47) to route to the VPN server's ip. Also, the server's router is behind a DSL modem. I had a glimmer of hope when this site: http://www.chicagotech.net/casestudy/vpnerror619.htm suggested that the PPoE authentication should reside on the router and not the modem. But I still came up empty. So does anybody know what the problem is?

    I want to host some websites behind a VPN and I need some help with the finer points of the configuration. Thus far I've settled on OpenVPN + Bind9 and I want to configure the domains like this: External DNS mail.example.com www.example.com vpn.example.com I want to be able to connect to the vpn using 'vpn.example.com'. Once connected I then want to be able to resolve anything which is '*.vpn.example.com' with the DNS server sitting behind the VPN. I know that OpenVPN can push DNS servers to clients when they connect. I am having trouble though with the DNS config, both internal and external. I've gone through a few tutorials etc. and tried to reason about it myself but I'm not getting anywhere. So my main question would be does the above configuration make sense? If so, any general pointers or examples would be greatly appreciated. Here's what I've tried so far based on this tutorial (I've redacted my domain with example.com). When I try the tests with dig at the end to check the resolution is working it fails. db.vpn.example.com $TTL 15m vpn.example.com. IN SOA ns.vpn.example.com. [email protected].   • Mac Mini server (10.6) behind router with FQDN hostname

    I have a Mac Mini running Mac OS 10.6.6 Server that will be part of a local network, and a static IP from my ISP. I'd like to set up DNS for the Mini with a FQDN as the hostname (example.com) properly. The Mini is behind a router (Apple Airport Extreme) and is given a private, static IP address. I can't assign it the public static IP directly because it's behind a router with DHCP/NAT for other machines on the local net. My end goal here is for services to resolve to the server properly from outside and inside the local network to users via example.com (and subdomains like mail.example.com, www.example.com), which will point to the public static IP assigned to the router. Will DNS work/resolve properly (for mail services and other subdomains) if it has a private ip address, but the necessary services are forwarded properly through NAT? I'm open to any (hopefully better) suggestions, as my current setup doesn't seem like it's the best way. Currently, more hardware or another public static IP is not possible. With the current setup, it seems as though one static IP is not necessary anyway. Thanks in advance for any insight.

    I have 2 tomcat machines behind a load balancer on Amazon EC2. Until now The load balancer was configured to respond only on https. So in order to access our services you would go to https://url. Tomcat was configured to listen on 8080 but the connector had additional params that would tell tomcat that it is behind a proxy and that it should respond on HTTPS 443. The connector looks like this: <Connector scheme="https" secure="true" proxyPort="443" proxyHost="my.domain.name" port="8080" protocol="HTTP/1.1" connectionTimeout="20000" redirectPort="8443" useBodyEncodingForURI="true" URIEncoding="UTF-8" /> What i would like to do is to open port 80 on the load balancer and basically allow traffic on HTTP and HTTPS. I've configured the load balancer to redirect all HTTP traffic to the tomcat machines on port 8088. I was thinking that i could define a new connector so that all HTTPS traffic goes to 8080 and HTTP to 8088. Unfortunately i did not succeed.   • Have servers behind OpenVPN subnet reach connecting clients

    I am trying to find some relevant documentation or what directives I need in either the OpenVPN server configuration or client configuration to accommodate for this use case. I have an OpenVPN server that clients connect to. The OpenVPN server can communicate directly with any of the clients already, this is not an issue. The client is able to reach any machine on the private subnet where OpenVPN resides, this is also not an issue. My issue is that the reverse is currently not possible - I have servers on the same subnet as the OpenVPN box that cannot reach any of the connecting clients. I'd like to be able to SSH to them and more, the same way the client can reach the servers behind the OpenVPN subnet. What do I need to do to make this possible? I already have masquerading rules set on the OpenVPN box: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.50.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE IP Forwarding is enabled: echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward I added a route on the server behind the private subnet to be aware of the route: 192.168.50.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0 What am I missing?

    I have set up a Ubuntu PC on a next work that is behind a ISA Proxy. When I run the command sudo apt-get update I get several messages with this message: 502 Proxy Error (The ISA Sever denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator) The computer can see the internet and adding the proxy settings in the Network Preferences does not help. When I do a ifconfig Im on a 192 address which is not the usual subnet our PCs are on. Any ideas?

    I need a static IP address that handles SSL traffic from a known source (a partner). Our servers are behind an AWS Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), which cannot provide a static IP address; many threads about this here. My thought is to create an instance in EC2 whose sole purpose in life is to be a reverse proxy server having it's own IP address; accepting HTTPS requests and forwarding them to the load balancer. Are there better solutions?
