    Im creating a download speed test, and im downloading a 800megabit file to a Byte[] in a memory stream with webClient.DownloadDataAsync(new Uri(link), memStreamArray); How can i check how many bits are in the memStreamArray while downloading? I need this so i can do a calculation on size / time to get the speed in realtime. Im planing on performing this calculation in the webClient.DownloadProgressChanged event.

    I'm creating a method specific method for a java project i'm working on. The UML given specifies the return type to be of static byte[] that accepts the arguments (String, byte) So far, looks like this: public static byte[] convertNumToDigitArray(String number, byte numDigits) { } This method is supposed to convert a number (as a String) to an array of bytes. The ordering must go from most to least significant digits. For example, if the number String is “732” then index 0 of the array should contain 7. The last argument (numDigits) should match the length of the string passed in. How do I do this?

    Hi, I am new to working with bits & bytes in C++ and I'm looking at some previously developed code and I need some help in understanding what is going on with the code. There is a byte array and populating it with some data and I noticed that the data was being '&' with a 0x0F (Please see code snipped below). I don't really understand what is going on there....if somebody could please explain that, it would be greatly apperciated.   • Servlet File Upload Memory Consumption

    Hi, I'm using a servlet to do a multi fileupload (using apache commons fileupload to help). A portion of my code is posted below. My problem is that if I upload several files at once, the memory consumption of the app server jumps rather drastically. This is probably OK if it were only until the file upload is finished, but the app server seems to hang on to the memory and never return it to the OS. I'm worried that when I put this into production I'll end up getting an out of memory exception on the server. Any ideas on why this is happening? The byte array contains some information like file name etc. The data (byte array ) may come from several sources. Each time I receive the data, I have to find the file name and save the data to that file name. I need some guide lines to how should I design it so that it works efficient.     The file succeed to upload when it is 2KB or lower in size. The main reason why I use streaming is to be able to upload file up to at least 1 GB.   • winsock receiving incoming data slower than expected.

    Hi folks, I have a sender machine which sends bytearray data to my prog at an interval of about 5 miliseconds/per msg, about 6 - 7 bytearray messages per seconds that is. The problem is that the winsock in my program doesn't seem to receive these bytearray fast enough. For every 10 messages sent over, I am only able to receive about 6 to 7. Any advices? Thanks.
