    I understand that I can zip multiple file and download it as zip when the files are already exists on ther server. like this. My question is, I have a dropdown list that prompt user download different section of a big form on the fly so I have header below for download it individually. header("Content-type: text/plain"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=op_summary.lyx"); I need to add another function to download them all at ones. How can I implement it? Should I have download them in the server before zipping it and download to client? I will also need a checkbox fundtion that pick multiple files according whichever files that user select. Any suggestion will be helpful.

  • Core Location Best Placement and User Interruption

    Hi All, My application uses Core Location in three different views. It's working perfectly. In my first view, I subclass the CLLocationManager and use protocol methods for location updates to my calling class. Before I install the framework and code in my other classes, I was wondering: Is the protocol method the best way? What happens to the Core Location execution if the user exits the view or quits the app while it's trying to get a location fix? Is the location task terminated with the GPS system turned off immediately? If the user simply switches to another view, is it OK to assume that I can start Core Location in the next view without regard to the last? Where should the first update location call be placed. Should the application delegate instantiate the CLLocation Manager class using protocol so that it can update any of the views chosen or should each class instantiate the manager. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

    hellow all, in xcode whenever we load a mapview ,it automaticallay shows the current user location right. In my case i am showing another location on map ,such that the map loads the current location and zoomed to the location i have given .. but, the current location point was not showing (the blue one which comes automaticay..). i have given mapView.showCurrentLocation=TRUE; but its not showing . so could any one tells the way it works and it should say the current location mark and then zoomed to the point i have given.     I've noticed many websites that host files for downloads have an interstitial page between the download link/button and the actual start of the download. Terminology on the page may include "Your download will begin shortly. If it does not, try this direct link". What is the purpose of this page? It seems to draw away from the general experience of downloading a file. Is this beneficial for bookmarking? Less experienced users? Analytics?

If I remove this configuration and I use this another one all works good (but not in the /munin/ directory): server { server_name ipoftheserver; root /var/cache/munin/www/; location / { index index.html; access_log off; } } How to fix? I've seen the answers to this question, but I have two changes to the requirements: I'd like it to run on Windows 7 or later (though if it works on Windows XP, that's a bonus). I need to be able to do this on a stock machine with nothing but the script, which should be text that could be easily entered on a keyboard or copy/pasted. The shorter, the better. So, essentially, I'd like a .cmd (batch) script, VBScript, or Powershell script that can accomplish the download. It could use COM or invoke IE, but it needs to run without any input, and should behave well when invoked without a display (such as through a telnet session).

    Our application enables our customers to download files to their computer. The way I have implemented it is using asp.net with a dropdown. When the user clicks the dropdown they get the choice of "PDF","Powerpoint", and a couple of other choices depending on circumstances. Then, in postback depending on the choice the user made, it will return a file (changing the content-header and such and then bitbanging a file to the user). This works perfectly in all browsers, but IE7 complains that this is a security risk and blocks the download. Is there any way for the users to authorize downloads from our webapplication?

    I am developing a .net web application on a local environment. I have a dev server that the application is installed on. Within the web application on the dev server I have four folders that I dont have locally and that are controlled by another application. In my day to day development I require the four folders on local PC. I would like to automate the process of pulling the folders from the dev server to my local drive, so I can keep thing in sync. Ideally something like this Run file from main folder (be it a bat file, powershell, some sort of job, open to recommendations) Download 4 folders supplied to it. First download bring everything down, from them on only pull the changes Not sure where to start with achieving this but would appreciate any help would with. I know there are apps out there that do something like this but would like to give a go writing something to do this before I resort to using one of them.

  • Microsoft secure downloader not finishing download

    I am downloading Windows 8 RTM using Microsoft's secure downloader provided by my school's DreamSpark account. The OS I'm currently on is Windows 8 preview. Once the download reaches 100%, it restarts to 0%. I open the download path folder, and find the en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.sdc file and the en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.scd.log file. The log file contains only one line : "Unpacking File: C:\Users\en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.sdc" I was unable to unpack the file using 3rd party software, and there seems to be no official software made for unpacking this type of file. What can I do to avoid downloading the OS illegally, even though I have my own product key?

    Is it possible in nginx to have a location {} block that matches query parameters. For example I want to pick up that "preview=true" in this url and then instruct it to do several different things, all possible in a location block. http://192.158.0.1/web/test.php?hello=test&preview=true&another=var The problem I'm having is that my test stuff doesn't seem to match, it seems like I can only match the URL itself? E.g. location ~ ^(.*)(preview)(.*)$ Or something aloong those lines?

    I want to download from remote http server all files directories,files and so on. I found some solutions to ftp server,but doesn't work to http. Until now no luck with wget -r or -m. It download all direcotories in the root and the respective index.html. Not all files and sub-directory under such it(note the sub-directory may have another directory and so on) not sure on tags fix for me if needs. Note: I'm not a native english speaker,sorry for bad english.

  • Cannot download or send MMS

    I have a Huawei Honor with Android 4.0.3. I got a plan at AT&T that includes 200 messages (both SMS and MMS) per month. Unfortunately I can neither receive nor send MMS. When I receive one, there's a download-button. But when I hit download it doesn't do anything, even when I got internet connection via wifi. When I try to send a MMS it only says "sending...", but nothing happens. My guess is that I didn't configure the settings correctly, but I couldn't find anything useful online. Also I don't have a single APN. Maybe I need to create one? Thanks for your help!

  • Setup.exe files downloading without cab files over poor connections

    We have customers who are trying to download a setup.exe file over mobile connections that appear to be very slow. They have reported that when they click on the downloaded setup.exe, the install wizard starts up, but part way through the wizard they get an error message indicating that a cab file is corrupt or missing. They couriered a problem tablet to us, and we downloaded the file without a problem but I could replicate the problem by using https to download the file (https is normally used to access the rest of the site, although it is not necessary for the download). When I did this the downloaded file was 2.8MB. It should be 8MB. I don't think that https is the root cause of the problem because I can see the download link in the browser history using http, so I know the customer tried to download using http. I think that the issue is that the poor connection is preventing a complete download, but the browser is acting as if it is complete. Is there a way to ensure the file is downloaded fully, or not at all? Why does the browser not indicate that the download is incomplete?

  • Should I add a "nofollow" attribute to download links, or disallow the URLs in robots.txt?

    I have a download link very similar to Opera's one - it's just a script that sends the file. It doesn't have an extension and there's no obvious way to tell that it's actually a download link. So since I don't want robots to crawl this link, do I need to add it to robots.txt or maybe add a "nofollow" attribute to it? I see that on Opera's website they didn't do either of this, so perhaps it's not necessary?

I want to get the best location using network when possible, gps if network is not enough accurate (accuracy greater than 300mt). The problem is this. I need location (accurate if possible, inaccuarte otherways) every 5 minutes. I start with a : LocationManager lm=(LocationManager)getApplicationContext().getSystemService(LOCATION_SERVICE); Criteria criteria = new Criteria(); criteria.setAccuracy(Criteria.ACCURACY_COARSE); criteria.setAltitudeRequired(false); criteria.setBearingRequired(false); String provider=lm.getBestProvider(criteria, true); if(provider!=null){ lm.requestLocationUpdates( provider,5*60*1000,0,this); In "onLocationChanged" i listen to locations and when i get a location with accuracy greater than 300mt, i want to change to gps location system. If I remove allupdates and then request for gps updates, like this: lm.removeUpdates((android.location.LocationListener) this); Criteria criteria = new Criteria(); criteria.setAccuracy(Criteria.ACCURACY_FINE); criteria.setAltitudeRequired(false); criteria.setBearingRequired(false); String provider=lm.getBestProvider(criteria, true); if(provider!=null){ lm.requestLocationUpdates( provider,5*60*1000,0,this); } system stops waiting for gpsupdate, and if i'm in a close room it can stay without location updates for hours, ignoring timeupdate indications. Is there a way to tell locationprovider to switch to network if gps is not giving a location in "x" seconds? or how to understand when gps is not localizing? or if i requestlocationupdates from 2 providers at same time (network and gps), can be a problem? Any suggestion?

    Iam trying to get a location (latitute and longitude), I cant figure out what Im doing wrong but my location keeps returning null.     Google has an API which can determine someone's location based on the wifi router names which a user's computer can see. You will see this if you go to google maps and your browser may ask if you would like to share location data. I am wondering if there is any way to disable this on a system wide setting rather than just in each browser (Chrome can do this too). Is there any way I can limit which applications have a list of the wireless routers I can see?
