    There are lots of ways to disable pendrive automount. I used one, but regreted, forgot which one and now need to reenable pendrive automount. It may have been a changed setting after pressing a button while booting Ubuntu or a deleted folder named something20090101 or 01012009something or whatever as long as it's a word and a date... If I don't want pendrive viruses, it's disable autorun, but keep automount enabled, right? blush

  • File and Printer Sharing, in 10.0.0.x

    Hi, I have a strange problem: When I assign addresses of the form 10.0.0.x to my computers, file sharing (smb) does not work. When I assign them addresse of the form 192.168.1.x it works... OS is XP SP3, for subnetmasks i tried both 255.255.255.0 and 255.0.0.0 Any ideas what I can do? [EDIT] I forgot to add: pinging doesn't work either

  • iPhoto - add time to photo time

    I have taken some photos from a recent vacation, but forgot to set the "away" time, so the time is slightly off. Thats not much of an issue since its only an hour from my home time, but my partner also took photos, but she was smart enough to adjust the time, so when merged together the overlap is annoying. Is there an easy way (preferably in iPhoto) to adjust the time that the photos were taken?

    Ok so i have a Mini USB bluetooth dongle it has not buttons on it but when i plug it in it shows as a keyboard input device... it was originally working but i think what happened was i put the bluetooth device into my pc turned on the radio and unpluged it and forgot and reformated and now since the radio is set to off it will not detect as bluetooth

I've done a bit of googleing but I didn't find anything about how should I handle this type of file. It's worth mentioning that the server was running Plesk and the database wasn't using InnoDB.   • Take VMware VM State Home With Me

    I work in VMs day in and day out, it's wonderful, encapsulating all the stuff I need for development in a contained unit. My question is: I want to be able to take my VM home with me, the problem is the VM is 30GB, and it takes about 30 minutes to copy that much data to my external HDD. Is it possible to somehow save the "state" of the VM, go home, and just resume it like a I would a laptop? Oh... almost forgot, I use VMware Workstation 6.5

    Does anyone know how to embed a video in a powerpoint presentation in such a way that it can be moved to another computer? Possible solutions I'm considering: Actually embed the video file into the powerpoint file. This would be ideal, but I don't know how to do this. In my haste, I forgot that I also need a solution to encrypt files (primarily pdf, with a xls and txt file here and there). Is there a way to utilize mcrypt to encrypt uploaded pdf files? I understand the possibility of file_get_contents() with txt; is a similar solution available for other formats? Thanks!

(I always forgot to push them, so later, the next morning I came office and back home again) I think maybe the shutdown process can check some conditions to meet, if any condition is not met, then give the user the choice to continue to shutdown or just cancel. Then, I can write something to hook the shutdown to check my Git repository to push.

    Okay i have what may seem a really easy to solve problem but i've been trying to solve it for days. I'm trying to deploy a asp.net MVC2 application to a IIS 5.1 server running Windows XP Pro. (it's actually the default MVC2 app) However when i deploy, the only thing i'm able to see is a Directory listing. I tried a lot of stuff but can't get it to display anything other than the directory listing. hopefully i'm just a noob who forgot to add something, thanks for your answer :)

However I forgot to copy init script. It is still present in kernel image that I have. How to extract it? Please note that initrd is not a separate file but is in the kernel image.
