• Can't make AWUS036H work in Ubuntu 12.10

  I am using 64 bit Ubuntu 12.10. This is my kernel version: Linux 3.5.0-19-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 13 17:48:01 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux My wireless card is an AWUSU36H The first thing I do to install the driver is copy the driver from the CD to the Downloads folder. cd /media/me/AWUS036H/Drivers/RTL8187L/Unix (Linux)/Linux driver for kernel 2.6.X$ cp rtl8187_linux_26.1025.0328.2007.tar.gz ~/Downloads/ Then I extract the tar tar xvfz rtl8187_linux_26.1025.0328.2007.tar.gz I navigate into the extracted folder, and I try to follow the instructions in the Readme.txt cd rtl8187_linux_26.1025.0328.2007 This are the contents of the folder: drv.tar.gz makedrv stack.tar.gz wlan0rmv ieee80211 ReadMe.txt wlan0dhcp wlan0up ifcfg-wlan0 rtl8187 wlan0down wpa_supplicant-0.4.9 This is what the Readme.txt says: Release Date: 2006-02-09, ver 1.2^M RTL8187 Linux driver version 1.2^M ^M --This driver supports RealTek RTL8187 Wireless LAN driver for ^M Fedora Core 2/3/4/5, Debian 3.1, Mandrake 10.2/Mandriva 2006, ^M SUSE 9.3/10.1/10.2, Gentoo 3.1, etc.^M - Support Client mode for either infrastructure or adhoc mode^M - Support WEP and WPAPSK connection^M ^M < Component >^M The driver is composed of several parts:^M 1. If I go in each of this 2 folders and I run the sudo make command then I get errors like this one: sudo makemake -C /lib/modules/3.5.0-19-generic/build   Afternoon all, I have four resources; a project manager, and three developers. The project manager can work anywhere from 9 to 5pm each day, but only for a total of 10 hours per week. It doesn't matter when he works, as long as he isn't over-allocated 10 hours per week. The developers on the other hand can only work up to 2 hours per day, for a total of 10 hours per week. If they work more than 2 hours in a day, they are over-allocated. How do I best configure Project to handle this kind of scheduling requirement?

• How can I copy cells in Excel 2007 and paste with formatting

  I am wanting to be able to copy cells in a worksheet and paste them elsewhere in the same worksheet while maintaining the original formatting. I also want to be able to paste into Word and Outlook and keep the same formatting. Everything I have tried discards the the formatting and only pastes unformatted text. Paste Option buttons do not appear even though they have been defined in the setting to appear. Also Format Painter does not seem to do anything at all. Is there a setting that needs to be changed to resolve this?

  I am inserting numbered equations using tables and multi-level lists as described in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/microsoft_office_word/archive/2006/10/20/equation-numbering.aspx I want to cross-reference the equations in my text. To do so I go to Insert-Cross reference and among the "Numbered Items" I pick the equation I wish to refer to. The problem is that if I pick the "Insert reference to" as "Paragraph number" a zero is always inserted into my text. The surprising thing is that the hyperlink in the cross-reference points to the correct equation. Also if I choose "Insert reference to" as "Page number" then the correct page numbers are inserted and they are correctly updated too.

  I have a document (docA) with arabic page numbers in the header. Now docA is part of a thesis which has roman numbers in the footer. So I want to add roman page numbers to docA. This is no problem. But now I want to adjust the numbering of the roman numbers (as the thesis has lets say five pages). This is what I want: arabic page numbers in the header, starting at 1 roman page numbers in the footer, starting at VI I tried this: I choosed 'Page Number', 'Page Number Format' and tried to adjust the starting point. However, this changes both page numbers. How is it possible to have different numbering in the header and in the footer?

For example, I'd like to filter out (hide) all rows that contain 'ef', 'kl', and 'qr'. Is there an easy way to do this? I know how to use Advanced filters to include only the rows that contain those substrings, but not the inverse. Has anyone does this before?

• Create room mailbox in Exchange 2007 - cannot view calendar

  I'm an application developer and I'm trying to play around with Exchange in order to integrate a room booking system with it. I've created a room mailbox and have set it so that it auto-accepts appointment requests. When creating an appointment as a standard user I can add the room as a resource and its availability will display. However, I can add it as a shared calendar to Outlook 2003 (Unable to display the folder. The Calendar folder could not be found) nor can I return the calendar folder using Exchange Web Services (again, could not find the folder). I've also created an appointment via Exchange Web Services with a room as a resource. The resource was successfully booked (as confirmed when opening it as the room's delegate) but it does not appear on the meeting as viewed by any of the attendees. Is there anything further I need to do in order to share this calendar? How do most organisations set up their Exchange with regards to rooms?

I find the process of having to click through all of the dialogs, setting the text identifier, setting the columns to all be text extremely tedious. In many actions with data like this in regards to MSSQL or Access the program will ask you if you wish to save these steps however Excel doesn't readily ask that. Is there any way to get a comparable usage with Excel?

  For example I made check box in A1 with "=$B$1" So now, when I click it the "TRUE", "FALSE" text appears depending if check box is checked or not. The problem starts when I want to duplicate those two to more rows. Now every check box makes the B1 text to change, not the one it represents as in check box A1 should change B1 text, check box in cell A2 should change B2 text and so on, but now all check boxes change the same B1 text. Is there any workaround?

• Automating Access 2007 Queries (changing one criteria)

  So, I have 6 queries and I want to run them all once at the end of each month. (I know a bit about SQL but they're simply built using Access's design view). So, in the next few days, perhaps I'll run the 6 queries for May, as May just ended. I only want the data from the month that just ended, so the query has Criteria set as the name of the month (e.g., May). Now, it's not hugely time consuming to change all of these each month, but is there some way to automate this? Currently, they're all set to April and I want to change them all to May when I run them in a few days. And each month, I'd like to type the month (perhaps in a textbox in a form or somewhere else if you know a better way) just once and have it change all 6 queries, without having to manually open all 6, scroll over to the right field and change the Criteria. Note (about VBA): I have used Excel VBA so I know the basics of VBA but I don't really know anything specific to Access (other than seeing code a few times). And, others will use this who do not know anything about Access VBA. So, I think I have found a similar question/answer that could do this in VBA, but I'd rather do it some other way. If the query needs to be slightly redesigned later, probably by someone who doesn't know Access VBA at all, it'd be nice to have a solution not involving VBA if that is even possible.

  I've migrated Reporting Services on a SCOM 2007 R2 install, and noticed that the reports have not being copied. I can create a new report, but the ones I've had because of the management packs are gone. I've tried re-applying the Management Packs however it doesn't re-deploy them and when I try to access for example: Monitoring - Microsoft Windows Print Server - Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003 Print Services - State View - select any item and click Alerts on the right menu. I get the following error: Date: 12/24/2010 12:40:35 PM Application: System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Application Version: 6.1.7221.0 Severity: Error Message: Cannot initialize report. • Exchange 2003: recover mailbox when migrated to 2007

  We have migrated almost all of our mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2007 so both are still up and co-existing in our domain. One mailbox is missing some mails, and I tried to recover from an Exchange 2003 backup using ExMerge as usual, but it throws an error: Error opening message store (MSEMS). Verify that the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is running and that you have the correct permissions to log on. (0x8004011d) This should be normal when a mailbox has been migrated to 2007 and you try to recover a 2003 backup as stated here: http://www.petri.co.il/restoring-exchange-2003-mailboxes-exchange-2007-exmerge.htm We then tried the solution given in the article (copying the value "homemdb" for the user and pasting this in "msExchOrigMDB" for the Recovery Storage Group object in adsiedit). The error unfortuntely persists. So my question is, how can I extract a .pst from a mailbox in the recovery storage group when both Exchange 2003 and 2007 are running? I assume this is why the solution in the article didn't work. If no solution is possible using regular tools (exmerge, eseutil, etc.) which third-party tool should we choose - preferably the cheapest as we only need this one mailbox recovered.

• when using exchange 2010 it complains of not talking to Information Store service on exchange 2007

  I am attempting to do an upgrade in my org from exchange 2007 to exchange 2010. I moved all the mailboxes and made sure my certificates were setup in exchange 2010. I then changed my ip forwarding rules to forward mail to my exchange 2010 box. I can receive email. I then powered off my exchange 2007 server. However now when I open my exchange 2010 console it is complaing of not being able to talk to the Information Store service on my exchange 2007 server. What is up? do I have to tell exchange somewhere "who" is the new exchange server? I'm confused. I hate it when software does it automatically. I want to force it to do something.
