HP mini 210 touchpad issues

Need help in getting the right mouse click to work on a HP mini 210-1015TU when using the touchpad. If I plug in a USB mouse, both left click and right click function as normal. Using the touchpad however I can only get the left click to work. Attempting to right click gives the result expected from a left click. As per some comments on a forum I added a file 11-touchpad.conf to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d. I can provide further details if required. This made touchpad operation noticeably smoother but the problem with the right mouse click remains. Not a hardware problem as right clicked worked with 10.04 and still works with Windows 7 starter. 10.10 installed using wubi.

I saw that many of HP envy users (and some other hardwares) are having problems while using Ubuntu (some other distributions too). PROBLEM My main issue is make my HDMI or Mini-display-port work on Linux (Ubuntu). I`m able to make it work smoothly on windows only :( TIP Some guy create a blog, that is very nice and I could found some helps over there. But is kind of abandoned. General Purpose The idea of this post is to put together all users and share though under this issue. Thanks in advance for any reply/comment. User must have accepted TOS - Facebook Graph API error when posting photos to group page

Hi all, I've been struggling to upload an image from the user's computer and posted to our group page using the Facebook Graph API. I was able to send a post request to facebook with the image however, I'm getting this error back: ERROR: (#200) User must have accepted TOS. To some extent, I don't believe that I need the user to authorize himself as the photo is being uploaded to our group page. Can't configure Bluetooth drivers for mac mini 4,1

upon following the instructions on thread for mac mini leading to me to a thread for a fix for BlueTooth, i follow the instructions (even they are for other Mac's) i get it to fire up and combined with hcitool i managed to connect my apple track pad and keyboard... how ever upon reboot im back to bluetooth telling me there are no drivers nothing works, yet all the files are still there? Dell Mini 9 Integrated Microphone -- not working

Im running the latest Debian version, 6.0 on my Dell Mini 9.Webcam and sound work, but microphone is a no-go. I hope even though it is Debian, fellow Linux users can help. In Alsamixer (1.0.23), I have Capture, Digital, and Mic settings all the way up. There are no options for adjusting "Front" mic settings. (May have been for older alsamixer versions?) In Sound Recorder, playback has loud noise/feedback? Under Preferences in Volume Control under the Recording tab, both Capture and Digital are permanently checked, regardless if I uncheck them. I'm not sure how to interpret the above, but I am just trying to offer as much relevant background information as I can. I've been scouring forums for the answer, but to no avail. Most questions/answers are from 2008, and couldn't find a solution. I'm not very handy with the Linux machine, but love to learn / am learning. Also, I've attempted the solution here, and it didn't work. Thanks, in advance, for your help!

Rebuilding a Mac Mini (early 2009) --- Update

A couple of months ago I rebuilt the family’s Mac Mini (you can read the details in this post). Things had gone pretty smoothly until a few weeks ago. That’s when my wife mentioned that different applications would spontaneously crash. She kept track for a few days, and it turned out to be any or all of the applications that she uses (Safari, Quicken, Entourage, etc.) . I did some online research and didn’t really find too much – but then how do you do a proper Google search for “Mac OS 10.5.8 applications crash”. The best suggestion seemed to be issues around 10.5.8, where people suggested that you go back to a previous version (something like 10.5.6). The only way to do that is to completely reinstall the OS – which is what I had just done. SO, instead of doing that, I decided to just reapply the 10.5.8 update by downloading it from Apple (http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update ). I had installed the updates after the rebuild through the Apple Update mechanism built into OS X. I thought maybe the combo update would reinstall some corrupted file (or something). I did this about a week ago and sure enough, we’ve had one crash this week with the same usage patterns as before. I still have no idea what was causing the crashes, but at this point, I’m just going to declare it fixed and move on.

Can I use a Google Appliance/Mini to crawl and index sites I don't own?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but... I am working with this company and they said they needed to get "permission" to crawl other people's sites. They have a Google Search Appliance And some Google Minis and want to point them at other sites to aggregate content. The end result will be something like a targeted search engine. (All the indexed sites relate to a specific topic) The only thing they will be doing is: Indexing Content from the other sites/domains Providing search functionality on their own site that searches the indexed content (like Google, displaying summaries and not the full content) The search results will provide links back to the original content Their intent is not malicious in nature, and is to provide a single site/resource for people to reference on their given topic. Is there anything illegal or fishy about this process?

This is probably a horrible idea; putting a Mac Mini in a mini-fridge [closed]

Possible Duplicate: Putting servers inside a refrigerator? Just moved to a new house and had to place my Mac Mini server in the attic. Now this is really nice and cool at this time of the year, but during summer it's going to get blistering hot up there, meaning I have to find a solution that won't kill my Mac Mini and the two WD external drives I have connected to it. Is there any good reason why I couldn't just buy a mini-fridge and put them inside that? The only thing I can think of is condensation building up, but I have no idea if that will be an issue or not. Something like this. And yes, I'm pretty sure this is a terrible idea, but I figured it was worth mentioning here and getting some feedback. What other options are there?

How to Boot a VMware Virtual Machine from a USB Drive

Do you have an OS installed on your USB thumb drive? Booting from it in a VM is now possible, you’ll just have to use a simple trick to get it to work. Last week we showed you how to put Ubuntu on a USB drive in a separate partition, and we also discussed working with VMware Player (our favourite VM Client). But have you ever tried booting from a USB drive in VMWare? It doesn’t allow doing so, but we will force it to boot from a USB, with a bit of old geekery. If you remember, we have showed you how to boot from a USB drive even if your old PC doesn’t allow booting from one. That’s right, using Plop Boot Manager. All we need to do is to load the Plop ISO in VMware, attach and enable the USB drive in VMware, and finally select the USB option in Plop Boot Manager to boot from the USB. Weird UPD packets on incoming FTP MLSD command

Hello. I am developing a firewall script for my server. So far it is working fine, except for FTP. Server is dedicated, CentOS based with static IP. There is no NAT between me and server. IPTables is a firewall. Here is a script I use to configure iptables: http://pastebin.com/f54a70fec I allow all RELATED and ESTABLISHED connections in it and load all conn_track modules. Sharing files between Mac Mini and Ubuntu

I want to get files off a Ubuntu box (10.04) and transfer them to a Mac Mini. I am connecting the two directly with a piece of network cable (Its not crossover, but I am told the Mini can handle this). The Ubuntu box has Samba installed(I think), but no internet connection. When I create a shared folder in Ubuntu it doest show up in Mac OS. But the Ubunutu box is appearing in the 'Shared' section in Mac Finder. Help

when doing long term sale of service or software, what type of legal contracts need to be drafted ? i'm not a lawyer, and was looking for a general template on statement of work, service level agreements and terms of services. how are java enterprise applications requiring server side logic, delivered by the vendor to the client ? do they deliver the actual hardware server with everything installed ? java apps can be decompiled and source code exposed, what type of legal paper would you need to draft to protect your asset and Intellectual property ?
