• My SMTP's outgoing mail gets bounced

  I've got a ISPconfig 3 production server set up, running Ubuntu Server 9.04. My e-mail gets delivered ok to almost every other server I send mail to except for one (smtp.chello.nl which bounces my email). In my /var/log/mail.err I found the below error. Sep 23 08:59:33 <MYHOSTNAME> postfix/smtp[26944]: 3DB2B1456149: to=<<RECIPIENT>@chello.nl>, relay=smtp.chello.nl[213.46.255.2]:25, delay=2, delays=0.02/0.01/1.9/0.04, dsn=5.1.0, status=bounced (host smtp.chello.nl[213.46.255.2] said: 550 5.1.0 Dynamic/Generic hostnames are blocked. Please contact your Email Provider. Your IP was <MY IP>. Your hostname was ??. (in reply to MAIL FROM command)) What could be the cause of this? I did an SMTP check on mxtools.com and got the following: OK - Not an open relay OK - 0 seconds - Good on Connection time OK - 1.482 seconds - Good on Transaction time OK - 83.161.xx.xx resolves to a83-161-xx-xx.xxx.xxx.nl WARNING - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner Update: My IP is static.

  Hi, I am sure it is a dumb question, but I want to change the sender of mails sended by my Linux server (centos 5). All mails sent to user "dev" are forwarded via a /home/dev/.forward file, with this sender : [email protected].fr. host.mydomain.fr is the hostname of this server, but it's an internal server and it does not even have a public IP.   We're running SQL Server 2000. In our database, we have an "Orders" table with approximately 750,000 rows. We can perform simple SELECT statements on this table. However, when we want to run a query like SELECT TOP 100 * FROM Orders ORDER BY Date_Ordered DESC, we receive the following message: Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 6 The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space. We have other tables in our database which are similar in size of the amount of records that are in the tables (i.e. 700,000 records). On these tables, we can run any queries we'd like and we never receive a message about 'tempdb being full'. To resolve this, we've backed up our database, shrunk the actual database and also shrunk the database and files in the tempdb system database, but this hasn't resolved the issue. The size of our log file is set to autogrow. We're not sure where to go next. Are there any ideas why we still might be receiving this message? Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 6 The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.

  I am using Apache2 with mod proxy on Ubuntu 12.04 as a reverse proxy to some back-end server: <VirtualHost *:80> ProxyPass / http://somewhere.com/mysite ProxyPassReverse / http://somewhere.com/mysite ServerName www.mysite.nl ServerAlias mysite.nl *.mysite.nl </VirtualHost> However, unfortunately the back-end server has some internal links hardcoded; e.g. a link to somewhere else in the site has <a href="http://somewhere.com/mysite/something"> instead of just <a href="something.png">. Is there a way I can use Apache to replace strings in the body as served by the backend before passing it back to the client? E.g replace all instances of "http://somewhere.com/site/" with "http://mysite.nl/" ? I know nginx or so is better as a reverse proxy, but the server is hosting other stuff so port 80 needs to be Apache2.

  Hi I'm a used Ubuntu user on a pc, and I like the french keyboard layout because it allows me to type accentued characters easily. I found a win-fr keyboard layout but it's much like windows and not so good. I found xmodmap.fr keyboard layout and I'd like to know if it was possible use it with my Mac SL 10.6.5, maybe I could do xmodmap xmodmap.fr or a way to convert to mac layout file. Any ideas?!

• Log Problem and bash script

  Hello Guys, I have 11 Debian servers running on rackspace cloud hosting. All running VHCS2 for hosting management. 1 server is used for application and 10 are used for only smtp. My question is regarding smtp servers. Each server hosted 1 domain. My problem is when my client use smtp there's a log created in this directory /var/log/ but within 24 hours drives are full and server refuse all smtp connections. Then I deleted the logs and ran following command to check the disk space. df -h but it shows hdd still full and server is still refusing the smtp connections. Then I ran following command to see the truth du --max-depth=1 -h It shows the truth. The real disk space used. Then I rebooted the server and now server working fine. But after few hours same situation happened. Then I created the following script. #!/bin/sh rm -fr /var/log/* rm -fr /var/log/apache2/*.log rm -fr /var/log/apache2/*.log.* rm -fr /var/log/apache2/users/* rm -fr /var/log/apache2/backup/* reboot It worked for days but after that logs are again filling the hdd. Now I want the following solutions. If anybody can help me. When I delete files from server hdd will free up without rebooting Log should be in specific range. Like a specific size of file where old data overwrite with new data

The scenario I envision is that the searcher is looking for the English content, but is searching in their own language. An example could be someone looking for "downloadable English crosswords." MY IDEAS Buy ccTLDs and have them permanently redirect to subdirectories on domain.com. The subdirectories would contain html sitemaps in the target language e.g.-Redirect domain.fr to domain.com/fr OR perhaps it would be better to maintain domain.fr as an independent site in the target language with the html sitemap linking to pages on domain.com ? QUESTION Are the above methods good/bad? What are some other ways I can optimize SEO for foreign languages?

But I'm having two problems: I want to display a messagebox to tell the user the contact was successfully added If the contact was not successfully added because A contact with this name already exists A different issue Then display a message box "Contact already exists" or "error occured" respectively. My idea of doing this is: If recSet.Update = true Then MsgBox "Paolo Bernasconi was successfully added" Else if RecSet![FName] & RecSet![LName] 'already exist in table MsgBox "Contact already exists" Else MsgBox "An unknown error occured" I know this code is wrong, and obviously doesn't work, but it's just to give you an idea of what I'm trying to achieve.   How can I change the spellchecking language of a WPF textbox to french using XAML? I tried this but it doesn't work. <TextBox AcceptsReturn="true" SpellCheck.IsEnabled="true" FontSize="12" BorderBrush="Blue" Height="100" Language="fr-fr" /> French is supposed to be one of the 4 supported languages for spellchecking in WPF so I don't understand why it doesn't work. I also tried fr-CA but it still won't work.

  Developing a multilingual application in VB.Net 2008, Im able to add resources to forms and create a multilingual forms depending on uiculture. On reading Msdn on creating the multilingual string values for messagebox contents, have added the .resource file to the project files path as specified. There is no error on compilation but throws the MissingManifestResourceException error Dim rm As ResourceManager rm = ResourceManager.CreateFileBasedResourceManager("strFormResources", ".", Nothing) Dim ci As CultureInfo ci = New CultureInfo("fr-FR") MessageBox.Show(rm.GetString("sample1", ci)) Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture (or the neutral culture) on disk. baseName: strFormResources locationInfo: fileName: strFormResources.resources There is strFormResources.resources and strFormResources.fr-FR.resources in Resources of the project. I have searched for this error details but could not find a solution. What am i doing wrong or is there any other method for displaying multilingual strings in the messagebox. Thanks in advance

  In my winform app in VB.NET I want to use the localization option. But i have a few questions/problems. I'm using a menu strip to select an other language. But it seems that is doesn't change my menustip text to my selected language. It does change my labels, buttons, and textboxes but menu strips don't seem to change when I choose another language. Also is it possible to get those resx files such as MyForm.fr-FR.resx compiled so it isn't an external file outside my app? Or to get those files in an Language folder at the same location of my app, so i don't have all those fr-FR, nl-Nl folders in the same location as my program?

• Override the neutral language of a specific resource file within an assembly

  I have an assembly that contains several resource files. Most of them have the neutral language 'nl' (Dutch, specified on the assembly as the neutral language), so I don't specify the 'nl' in their filenames. However, I'm putting strings in the English language in some other resource files (they are internal error messages) and I will never provide Dutch translations of them. If I name those resource files something like 'Errors.en.resx', no designer class is generated (breaks the build) because there is no 'Errors.resx'. This is annoying because now I have to put 'en' strings into a 'nl'-implied resource file and I really don't want to translate those strings to 'nl' or provide empty strings just to satisfy the compiler. Is there a way to override the neutral language on a specific resource file or perhaps somehow have the 'Errors.en.resx' build a designer class?

• In JavaScript, How to convert string into Date ? Where string may have different culture format.

  Hi I am getting DateString in JavaScript from the TextBox like, var dateString = document.getElementById('<%= txtEffDate.ClientID %>').value; dateString value may be in following format. en-US - "4/29/2010" fr-FR - "29/04/2010" de-DE - "29.04.2010" it-IT - "29/04/2010" es-ES - "29/04/2010" zh-CN - "2010/4/29" ja-JP - "2010/04/29" sv-SE - "2010-04-29" And converting this to Date Object as follows, var d1 = new Date(dateString); though its giving me the wrong result like for fr-FR "29/04/2010" == "Fri May 4 00:00:00 UTC+0530 2012" Which is completely irrelevant, How should I get the correct Date ? • Help! The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to fr

  We're running SQL Server 2000. In our database, we have an "Orders" table with approximately 750,000 rows. We can perform simple SELECT statements on this table. However, when we want to run a query like SELECT TOP 100 * FROM Orders ORDER BY Date_Ordered DESC, we receive the following message: Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 6 The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space. We have other tables in our database which are similar in size of the amount of records that are in the tables (i.e. 700,000 records). On these tables, we can run any queries we'd like and we never receive a message about 'tempdb being full'. To resolve this, we've backed up our database, shrunk the actual database and also shrunk the database and files in the tempdb system database, but this hasn't resolved the issue. The size of our log file is set to autogrow. We're not sure where to go next. Are there any ideas why we still might be receiving this message? Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 6 The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.

• I manager della logistica a confronto

  Il 4 di Aprile scorso una quindicina di manager della logistica appartenenti a diversi settori industriali (Retail, Consumer Goods, Natural Resources, etc) si sono ritrovati per un workshop di lavoro oganizzato da Oracle con la collaborazione di Assologistica. Il tema era libero: di cosa avreste bisogno per migliorare la logistica delle vostre aziende?  La discussione è stata viva e durata per più di tre ore. Gli spunti della serata, assieme a quelli che verranno fuori dall'analogo incontro che si svolgerà il 18 Aprile prossimo, saranno parte di una presentazione che verrà preparata da Assologistica e distribuita al suo network.

  L'evento era il secondo degli incontri dedicati agli Execuive dei clienti Oracle. Abbiamo ascoltaro il Prof. Andrea Dossi, SDA Professor di Amministrazione, Controllo, Finanza Aziendale e Immobiliare parlare di: Strategic Performance Measurement Systems e cicli di Pianificazione e Controllo: quali legami? Alla fine della discussione lo Chef Daniel Canzian, titolare del ristorante Daniel, una delle novità del panorama gastronomico milanese ha intrattenuto gli intervenuti con un momento di show cooking in cui ha mostrato a tutti come cucinare i piatti che poi sono stati serviti a cena. I partecipanti hanno seguito con nolto interesse entrambe le parti dell'evento,  che si è dimostrato un ottimo connubio fra momenti di apprendimento e momenti di networking.

• CUOA Workshop: “L’evoluzione dei modelli e dei sistemi di analisi e reporting direzionale”

  Il 26 Giugno scorso presso l’Aula Magna della Fondazione CUOA si è tentuo il workshop “L’evoluzione dei modelli e dei sistemi di analisi e reporting direzionale”, promosso dal Club Finance CUOA con la collaborazione di Oracle .  Una recente analisi di Gartner ha evidenziato che Executives Finance ed IT hanno identificato Business Intelligence, Analytics e Performance Management come tema prioritario su cui concentrare gli investimenti “tecnologici” nel 2013 confermando, se mai qualcuno ne avesse avuto bisogno, la continua e crescente attenzione delle aziende alla propria capacità di definire, produrre e gestire informazioni funzionali all’identificazione di opportunità, alla valutazione di rischi ed impatti, alla simulazione degli effetti di operazioni ordinarie e straordinarie...in un solo concetto, informazioni funzionali alla guida dell’azienda. Questo dato è ancora più interessante se incrociato con il risultato di una survey condotta da CFO Magazine e KPMG International nella quale il 48% dei CFO intervistati ha dichiarato di ritenere i propri sistemi datati ed poco flessibili, quindi un limite, se non proprio un freno, alla loro volontà di essere agenti del cambiamento. A fronte di tutto questo, le aziende dimostrano un crescente interesse a capire cosa fare, oggi e domani, per migliorare la propria capacità di sfruttare una risorsa aziendale estremamente pregiata quale l’informazione. L’    Obiettivo del workshop è quindi stato quello di analizzare in quale scenario stanno operando oggi le aziende del Nord Est Italiano verificando, grazie alle testimonianze di ITAL TBS e del Gruppo Carraro,  lo “stato di salute” dei processi di Business Analytics, il livello di cultura aziendale ed il grado di adozione di soluzioni da parte dei CFO, del Management e più in generale dei decisori aziendali, i percorsi evolutivi e prospettici per migliorare su questi temi
