Now when an user pastes in an url (if they don't know what they are doing, like most people) it comes out like this http://http://www.google.com. I've seen a site that as soon as you have http://http:// it removes one via Ajax. I am not familiar with Ajax, so can anyone help me? I don't want to clear the field on focus only.

    I have an R script file that executes a second R script via: source("../scripts/second_file.R") That second file has the following lines: myfiles <- list.files(".",pattern = "*.csv") ... rm(myfiles) When I run the master R file I get: > source("../scripts/second_file.R") Error in file.remove(myfiles) : object 'myfiles' not found and the program aborts. I think this has something to do with the environment. I looked at ?rm() pages but less than illuminating. I figure I have to give it a position argument, but not sure which.

    Okay, I am really stuck here. I have a table of tr's that have id's: #tr_xx where xx is a number. item is a number. The if(... part makes sure that what follows is only executed once at the end of all the animations. $('#tr_' + item + '>td').fadeOut('slow', function() { if($('#tr_' + item + '>td:animated').length === 0) { $(this).parent().remove(); // This function recolors the rows // -not really related to this Recolor(); } }); The problem is that the tr does not get deleted.     Hi there. I have a javascript function that gets a DIV by an ID and makes a clone. Then, removes the original DIV from DOM and inserts the cloned object..Everything works fine, except in IE, because the original DIV is never removed... var loadingDiv = $(Sybil.conf.loadingDivId), loadingClone = loadingDiv.clone(true); console.log($$('.loadingImg')); loadingDiv.remove(); //Insert the loading div on the page again elt.insert({after: loadingClone}); [loadingClone].invoke(func); console.log($$('.loadingImg')); The div also has a span inside with the class "loadingImg", so i just used the console.log to check how many elements there are. FF always prints [span.loadingImg] but IE prints [span.loadingImg,span.loadingImg] on the second console.log... Any idea of what might be happening? Thanks

    I've searched before asking this question. The answered ones were related to Linux hosting account and the ones with Windows hosting account didn't match what I was looking for. As you might have guessed, I've a Windows shared hosting account with godaddy. My aim was to remove the '.php' extension from the url. After researching I found that .htaccess would do exactly what I want. But I also found that .htaccess doesn't work in Windows environment and that I'll need a web.config file to do the same task. Now I know there are modules through which the code can be generated, but the problem is I don't know how to get them installed on my hosting account. I don't want to go through the process of contacting the people over at godaddy and hence I'm looking to solve this on my own. What I'm looking for is a web.config equivalent of .htaccess This is what I'm trying to achieve: Current URL : www.abcdef.com/contact.php Desired URL : www.abcdef.com/contact Any help would be greatly appreciated. But when I didn't like it I wanted to remove it with sudo apt-get remove lubuntu-desktop(then with auto-remove) but my startup / shutdown screen does still say lubuntu. So how do I remove lubuntu-desktop? Atempt one: sudo apt-get remove lubuntu-desktop lubuntu-artwork playmouth-theme-lubuntu-logo playmouth-theme-lubuntu-text I was unable to locate any of those packages. I've also tried to remove and install ubuntu-desktop, but none has worked.

    I am not sure why other people have not asked this before. But have you notice that the asp:Calendar shows an extra week at the end? For example if the VisibleMonth is set to 2010-03-01 and FirstDayOfWeek to Sunday: It will show 6 weeks. Feb 28 to March 6 March 7 to March 13 March 14 to March 20 March 21 to March 27 March 28 to April 3 April 4 to April 10 I was wondering why Microsoft shows the last Row which is entirely on April. I tried to search the net for a property but it does not seem to be existing. The only solution that I could think of is to override the Pre_Render and check all individual date if they are still within the week of the VisibleDate. But of course that is an extreme checking since each rendering of the control shows it.

    Install Shield Premier 2009: Basic MSI Project I have a dll that is supposed to be removed during uninstall. But this dll is being used by explorer.exe, it is used for generating windows explorer context menus with their icons(same as the menu items, icons we see when we right click on any file/folder and see the WinRAR items, icons). Manually, I have to unregister the dll and close explorer.exe from task manager and again run explorer.exe. Then I can delete the dll. So from Install Shield how to delete this dll without any problem(as we see while uninstalling WinRAR or other software there is no problem no message boxes shown and the related context menu icons also removed).

    Before we start, strip_tags() doesn't work. now, I've got some data that needs to be parsed, the problem is, I need to get rid of all the HTML that has been formated very strangely. the tags look like this: (notice the spaces) < p > blah blah blah < / p > < a href= " link.html " > blah blah blah < /a > All the regexs I've been trying aren't working, and I don't know enough about regex formating to make them work. I don't care about preserving anything inside of the tags, and would prefer to get rid of the text inside a link if I could. Anyone have any idea? (I really need to just sit down and learn regular expressions one day)

    hello everybody! I'm having some trouble with my huge data frame and couldn't really resolve that question myself: The dataframe has some properties as columns and each row represents one data set. I've done some sanatizing to this dataframe (e.g. get rid of datasets which are not to be included in evaluation). (Whoever might be interested: Beforehand I aggregate around 5000 single text files and put them in a tsv, some of the proerties have a sequence number like "button.pressed.1" ... ""button.pressed.n". Some of the sets excluded had really high numbers for n but got excluded, all sets left have much smaller numbers for n but the property "button.presed.50" is still there and all remaining sets have an NA in that column. Actually its a different property but the example should clarify my intention...) So the question is quite simple (for some sophisticated R pro): I need to get rid of columns where for ALL rows the value is NA. Could someone please help me out? (All I have managed to get rid of columns where at least one NA exists which dropped about half my columns)...
