• SSL certificates work fine from command line but fail in script

  I'm trying to setup email notifications for my continuous integration server. • Cisco Catalyst 4500 Policy Based Routing

  In order to test a new firewall I just set up I'm trying to implement policy based routing on our core switch. I want traffic from certain vlans to be routed to the new firewall while everything else continues being routed through the old firewall. I was trying to use this guide. Everything from that guide works fine except trying to run the "ip policy route-map" command in the interface configuration mode. IOS is telling me that such a command doesn't exist. A "show ip interface vlan" command says that policy routing is disabled. Any ideas? Line 2 was output from database query select sysdate from dual; Line 3 was output from java code new Date() I have checked from shell date command that line 2 output conforms with OS time. The output of line 3 was mysterious. I don't know how it comes from Java VM. Here are a few points to check: In config.inc.php, try to leave the $cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] directive empty. See also FAQ 4.7. Maybe you have a broken PHP installation or you need to upgrade your Zend Optimizer. See http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=31134. If you are using Hardened PHP with the ini directive varfilter.max_request_variables set to the default (200) or another low value, you could get this error if your table has a high number of columns. Adjust this setting accordingly. (Thanks to Klaus Dorninger for the hint). In the php.ini directive arg_separator.input, a value of ";" will cause this error. Replace it with "&;". If you are using Hardened-PHP, you might want to increase request limits. The directory specified in the php.ini directive session.save_path does not exist or is read-only. • Permission / owner issue with pushing to git when editing directly from repo?

  I have a web interface for deploying scripts from our repo at Github to our live server. The web interface just triggers a bash script with some git commands. If I make changes locally, push to repo, then run the bash script to pull from repo to live it works fine. However, if I make changes directly in the repo (via Github's web interface), I'm running into fast-forward / lock issues. These are the steps I'm taking: Make a change on a file at Github repo Run a bash script (as apache) via web from live server that attempts a git push / pull. Get these problems: PUSH To [email protected]:name/name.git ! [rejected] master - master (non-fast-forward) error: failed to push some refs to '[email protected]:name/name.git' To prevent you from losing history, non-fast-forward updates were rejected Merge the remote changes before pushing again. See the 'Note about fast-forwards' section of 'git push --help' for details. PULL From github.com:name/name branch master - FETCH_HEAD error: unable to unlink old 'includes/footer.inc' (Permission denied) Updating 8f6d922..d1eba9d Updating 8f6d922..d1eba9d SSH in as root, attempt a push / pull and it works fine.   I have somehow managed to mangle my computer so that any time I attempt to use something that uses ptrace to trace another process (eg strace, gdb), I get an immediate segmentation fault. • Easy_install the wrong version of python modules (Mac OS)

  I installed Python 2.7 on my Mac. When typing "python" in terminal, it shows: $ python Python 2.7 (r27:82508, Jul 3 2010, 20:17:05) [GCC 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5493)] on darwin Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. The Python version is correct here. But when I try to easy_install some modules. The system will install the modules with python version 2.6 which are not able be imported to Python 2.7. And of course I can not do the functions I need in my code.   I've been looking around for something like this for a while, and I've found some tips on similar issues, but not exactly the same. I really don't know what to do. I downloaded and installed WAMP, and I have a MySQL and PHPMyAdmin setup according to common indications that can be found everywhere (securing MySQL root account, etc.). When I log into PHPMyAdmin (either as root or as pma), I see the following message at the bottom of the page: The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated. To find out why click here. And when following the link, got a page with the following: Server: localhost $cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb'] ... OK $cfg['Servers'][$i]['relation'] ... • How to get a higher resolution on Ubuntu 11.04 using an intel chipset

  I have a bit slow PC here, so I decided to put Ubuntu 11.04 on it. It use to run Windows Vista on a resolution of 1280x1024, so both my hardware and monitor support it. Now I'm on Ubuntu, but can only run 1024x768, and the screen is not that bright. Its like when you don't have the right drivers on a Windows machine. Now i'm new to linux, so I do not know what do do. I have an onboard Intel chipset i965. • /dev/input/uinput Device appears to be 'broken'

  I'm trying to setup Pystromo so that I can remap the keys on my Belkin N52TE gamepad. Pystromo basically captures the key strokes and then outputs the remapped keystrokes to the uinput device. However, at the moment it simply swallows the input and outputs absolutely nothing. I've tracked the issue to something being wrong with my uinput device, with the smoking gun being: # ls -l /dev/input/uinput crw-rw---- 1 root plugdev 10, 223 Dec 31 2009 /dev/input/uinput # cat /dev/input/uinput cat: /dev/input/uinput: No such device The uinput module is loaded, and can be clearly seen via lsmod. Anyone seen this before, or can think of something worth attempting? I'm a little bit mystified about what's going on here, but it seems that my understanding of how all this works is flawed. Since I've posted a bounty, I'll leave this here for someone to post an explanation for how user-space input devices work under the hood.

• ios7 loops on the "trust this computer" dialog

  trying to transfer files to the work ipad via my debian7 box. • Installing xampp on system that already have mysql

  I'm rather new to PHP and xampp. I have a computer that has installed MySQL server and MySQL workbench as I was working with Java and NetBeans. Now I want to use my computer for developing PHP and other web stuff too. I installed xampp successfully. But when I'm trying to access phpMyAdmin, it gives me an error saying mysql server rejected its connection Actually I tried stopping my current MySQL service and installing it again. However xampp have a its own mysql server in its installation path too. I tried configuring config.inc.php to use my existing installation of MySQL which is on a separate path. But I failed. Can anyone please instruct me how to configure this xampp to use my existing MySQL server to do everything and ignore the installed one with itself? I don't want two MySQL services to run on my system and clash in future. I'll be glad if anyone can explain to me what is best to use when you're developing Java, PHP, C and all the stuff on the same machine. P.S.: I have been given a password for my existing MySQL sever (user = root) as we do it usually when installing MySQL alone.

• How to convert an MKV to AVI with minimal loss

  To convert an MKV to AVI, I do two things. The first thing I do is this: ffmpeg -i filename.mkv -vcodec copy -acodec copy output.avi This converts the MKV to an AVI, but the problem is that the video does not play smoothly for some reason. That's fine, because if I do one more thing it gets fixed: ffmpeg -i output.avi -vcodec mpeg4 -b 4000k -acodec mp2 -ab 320k converted.avi After I do this then the file plays without problem. I had success doing it this way for one file, but then I tried it on another file, and there is a slight, but noticeable loss in video quality. • Sending email with exim and external sender address

• Why is the wrong name server information at crsnic.net & gtld-servers.net ?

  Did I screw this up? I don’t even know how this might have happened, so I’d like to learn. I’m trying out HostGator’s reseller service and I bought a domain name through it, but I didn’t want the default name servers and so I changed them during the registration. After registration the domain name record is correct everywhere except at whois-servers.net and whois.crsnic.net and it looks like the DNS network is using that same information. $ whois -h whois.enom.com. example.com ... • Dell XPS 1530 DVD-RW firmware problem

  Hello everyone. I have this XPS laptop since a year and a half ago. About 2 months ago, with the waranty expired, i tried to run the optiarc slot load DVD-RW firmware update, and said everything was okay. Then I restarted it and the problem started: Now, every single time I turn on my computer, it get stuck at the BIOS POST until the drive sounds like "ready" and then the computer starts normally. And this happen EXACTLY the same when it's getting back from sleep. I'm pretty sure is not a software issue, because I tried with Vista Home Premiun 32 bits, Ubuntu (from 8.10+)32 & 64, and with W7 64. Already tried to run the firmware installer like a million time, in case it is a failing install with no luck. Also, google it to see if someone has the same problem, and again, no. The Drive performs pretty okay once the System is on, but waiting to the drive to be ready everytime is really annoying. The Firmware I updated was this, and the drive is: K937C Assembly, Dvd+/-rw, 8, SLOT, 1530 Sony Nec Optiarc Inc. I'll apreciate any help you can give me

• (help help!!!) Easy_install the wrong version of python modules (Mac OS)

  I installed Python 2.7 in my mac. The Python version is correct here. But when I try to easy_install some modules. The system will install the modules with python version 2.6 which are not able be imported to Python 2.7. And of course I can not do the functions I need in my code. • GUI interfaces to ATI card behave weirdly out of the box and after updates.

  My Lenovo W500 came with an ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 and both the Catalyst control center software and Vista display manager display four monitors. What's really annoying is the behaviour. My two active displays (laptop display + my external monitor) are always #s 3 and 4 respectively which doesn't make sense. This is out of the box. Additionally dragging & dropping is jumpy and displays #1 and 2 (always inactive because they don't exist to the software) are often preventing me from dragging #3 and 4 to the rightmost side. They also auto-snap to weird positions and certain sensible positions like position one directly over top of the other are not possible. The exact same annoyances are present when using the Windows Display manager too. In other words the interface is crap and I'm looking for a fix that's not wishing I had gone with nVidia instead. I've updated drivers, and Catalyst control centre. Have latest Windows and AMD/ATI updates. Any thoughts?
