  Would It be possible to connec my xbox 360 to a second AirPort Extreme, wherein this AirPort Extreme is wirelessly linked to the first? I assume it is and is straight forward, but I thought I'd ask first. Also, would an Ethernet to a second AirPort Extreme be any faster than, say, a dual band wifi connection from a MacBook? Obviously environmental factors play in, but I'm mostly curious about the relative receiving strength of the airport vs laptop.

  I went to a few websites and noticed that they all use AJAX technology for many tasks such as chat, messages, and so forth. They use a lot of httprequests obviously. My question is if you build a simple website using AJAX and you expected only few people per hour and then you start to have like 1,000 members logged per hour - can a single web application handle more requests per hour if you just upgrade to faster bigger servers or do you have to rewrite the code? Exactly how do you "scale" the web application?

  I have few questions about packet sniffer. I'm using a zyxel p-600 series modem and a hub to distribute the internet connection. Can I use a packet sniffer here to determine if the user is downloading something? Can I determine if the user is downloading a file based on the modem alone.(The lights blink faster) Is there an application that I could use for the modem or the hub to limit or avoid direct downloads.   Machine A, Windows Server 2003. Machine B, Ubuntu 9.04. Aim is to copy new and updated files as fast as possible from A to B. B can mount A either as CIFS or NFS (Services for Unix NFS server running on A). This is an absolutely time critical operation. What is the best way of achieving this? Note: benchmarked NFS vs CIFS and CIFS was faster and there was less variance in the speed (haven't tuned the NFS setup at all)

This happens even when the system is almost idle (browsing, playing music). It never happened with the old card. All drivers are up-to-date.   On a Ubuntu 9 64bit Linux machine, sudo takes longer time to start. "sudo echo hi" takes 2-3 minutes. strace on sudo tells poll("/etc/pam.d/system-auth", POLLIN) timesout after 5 seconds and there are multiple calls(may be a loop) to same system call (which causes 2-3min delay). Any idea why sudo has to wait for /etc/pam.d/system-auth? Any tunable to make sudo to timeout faster? Thanks Samuel

In http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc938440.aspx , says that FAT32 is faster when using smaller volumes. Ok separate disk, will give more performance than same disk. But did anyone test this? Scenario 1 : Separate hard disk FAT32 (small volume) Scenario 2 : Separate hard disk NTFS which one will win? minimum gain?

  Hi, I was wondering if it is possible, in Exchange server 2010, to disable a mailbox account, lets call it mailuser and if anyone sends a E-mail for [email protected] then it will send a mail back with some sort of standard "This E-mail is no longer in use. Please write to [email protected] instead" mail. I know I can create an "out-of-office" reply from the users outlook, but it would be so much faster to do it within the exchange server. The 135W version is about twice as big and heavy as the 90W version. Is there an advantage to the 135W version like faster battery recharging?
