    hi i installed vmware workstation 7.0 in windows,and it working well.i installed mac os 10.4.8 in it as a guest it is alo working well,but while installin mac os 10.6.2 it dont installed and shows an error as "invalid front-side bus freqency 66000000 hz. disablin the cpu." please help me how to solve this and please suggest any link to easyly understand installation if mac os 10.6.2

    A while back I spoke about having to go back to BIP's original crosstabbing solution to achieve a certain layout. Hok Min has provided a 'man' page for the new crosstab/pivot builder for 10.1.3.4.1 users. This will make the documentation drop but for now, get it here! The old, hand method is still available but this new approach, is more efficient and flexible. That said you may need to get into the crosstab code to tweak it where the crosstab dialog can not help. I had to do this, this week but more on that later. The following explains how the crosstab wizard builds the crosstab and what the fields inside the resulting template structure are there for. To create the crosstab a new XDO command "<?crosstab:...?>" has been created. XDO Command: <?crosstab: ctvarname; data-element; rows; columns; measures; aggregation?> Parameter Description Example Ctvarname Crosstab variable name. This is automatically generated by the Add-in. C123 data-element This is the XML data element that contains the data. "//ROW" Rows This contains a list of XML elements for row headers. The ordering information is specified within "{" and "}". The first attribute is the sort element. Leaving it blank means the sort element is the same as the row header element. The attribute "o" means order. Its value can be "a" for ascending, or "d" for descending. The attribute "t" means type. Its value can be "t" for text, and "n" for numeric. There can be more than one sort elements, example: "emp-full-name {emp-lastname,o=a,t=n}{emp-firstname,o=a,t=n}. This will sort employee by last name and first name. "Region{,o=a,t=t}, District{,o=a,t=t}" In the example, the first row header is "Region". It is sort by "Region", order is ascending, and type is text. The second row header is "District". Customization One new feature I discovered this week is the ability to show one column and sort by another. I had a data set that was extracting month abbreviations, we wanted to show the months across the top and some row headers to the side. As you may know XSL is not great with dates, especially recognising month names. It just wants to sort them alphabetically, so Apr comes before Jan, etc. A way around this is to generate a month number alongside the month and use that to sort. We can do that in the crosstab, sadly its not exposed in the UI yet but its doable. Go back up and take a look a the initial crosstab command. especially the Rows and Columns entries. In there you will find the sort criteria. "ProductsBrand{,o=a,t=t}, PeriodYear{,o=a,t=t}" Notice those leading commas inside the curly braces? Because there is no field preceding them it means that the crosstab should sort on the column before the brace ie PeriodYear. But you can insert another column in the data set to sort by. To get my sort working how I needed. <?crosstab:c794;"current-group()";"_Fund_Type_._Fund_Type_Display_{_Fund_Type_._Fund_Type_Sort_,o=a,t=n}";"_Fiscal_Period__Amount__._Amt_Fm_Disp_Abbr_{_Fiscal_Period__Amount__._Amt_Fiscal_Month_Sort_,o=a,t=n}";"_Execution_Facts_._Amt_";"sum"?> Excuse the horribly verbose XML tags, good ol BIEE :0) The emboldened columns are not in the crosstab but are in the data set. I just opened up the field, dropped them in and changed the type(t) value to be 'n', for number, instead of the default 'a' and my crosstab started sorting how I wanted it.     Oracle is pleased to announce that the Oracle Solaris 11.1 operating system has achieved a Common Criteria certification at Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4 augmented by Flaw Remediation under the Canadian Communications Security Establishment’s (CSEC) Canadian Common Criteria  Scheme (CCCS).  EAL4 is the highest level achievable for commercial software, and is the highest level mutually recognized by 26 countries under the current Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA).  Oracle Solaris 11.1 is conformant to the BSI Operating System Protection Profile v2.0 with the following four extended packages.   • Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 Certified on Solaris 11

    Oracle Solaris 11 was announced last week, and I'm pleased to also announce that Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 is now certified on Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit). This new operating system release represents a culmination of years of hard work by our Solaris engineering group.  It has a number of new and advanced features including simplified deployment and lifecycle management tools, built-in certified virtualization technologies, support on the latest generation SPARC chips, and more. New installations of the E-Business Suite R12 on this platform will require version 12.1.1 or higher and the latest Rapid Install startCD version 12.1.1.13.  For existing 12.1 installations, we have also certified an "in place" OS upgrade or the use of cloning to a target Solaris 11 system.     I have read many other posts but cannot figure this out. eth0 is my external connected to a Comcast modem. The server has internet access with no issues. eth1 is internal and running DHCP for the clients. I have DHCP working just fine, all my clients can get an IP and ping the server but they cannot access the internet.   • Solaris: detect hotswap SATA disk insert

    What's the method used on Solaris to get the system to rescan for new disks that have been hot-plugged on a SATA controller? I've got an HP X1600 NAS which had 9 drives configred in a ZFS pool. I've added 3 disks, but the format command still only shows the original 9.   • Solaris Fibre Channel target - Configure QLogic QLA2340

    I'm currently trying to set up a small storage system as a fibre channel target. This is for testing, so I'm currently using Solaris (Nexenta) and a QLogic QLA2340 HBA. For some reason, the qlc and qlt drivers don't support the QLA2340, so I'm using the qla2300 driver from QLogic's website. I've also got the scli utility installed for configuration. The HBA is detected by the system. That said, it's not clear how I get from this point to a point where I have a ZFS volume being exposed as an FC target. I was originally following this guide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzEBd3l7Qn4) but it seems that without the qlc/qlt drivers, Sun's configuration tools won't work. Does that also imply that COMSTAR also won't work? What's the best way to expose an FC target with this setup? Most of the options I'm seeing in scli complain that the port state is LinkDown (it is, I've not plugged anything in yet). Do I have to have my FC client plugged up and working before I can configure the target? Apologies for the slight vagueness of the question, but I'm not overly familiar with the terminology.

  • Problems compiling coreutils-8.5 on Solaris 5.10 on Intel platform

    I am having trouble compiling coreutils-8.5 on Solaris 5.10 on the Intel platform using cc. Firstly I had the following error during ./configure: checking whether <wchar.h> uses 'inline' correctly... no configure: error: <wchar.h> cannot be used with this compiler (/tool/sunstudio12.1/bin/cc -xc99=all -g -D_REENTRANT). This seemed similar to the problem in this question. The solution was to edit configure and replace the reference of -xc99=all to -xc99=all,no_lib. This permitted the configure to complete. Then I ran /usr/sfw/bin/gmake and it progressed until I received the following message: Making all in src gmake[2]: Entering directory `/home/peterp/src/coreutils-8.5/src' gmake all-am gmake[3]: Entering directory `/home/peterp/src/coreutils-8.5/src' CCLD chroot Undefined first referenced symbol in file eaccess ../lib/libcoreutils.a(euidaccess.o) ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to chroot What could cause this problem? PS I was only compiling coreutils because I wanted colour ls.

  • How to debug silent hang on shutdown of Solaris 10?

    We're experiencing a mysterious hang on shutdown of a newly-imaged Oracle/Sun Solaris 10 SPARC box. It is repeatable (in the same spot ... from what we can tell). We let it try to work itself out multiple times for 5-10 minutes and it never progressed. I've never seen this happen before. The last thing displayed on the console is that syslogd was sent signal 15. Prior to us disabling snmpdx on the box, the last thing on the console was that snmpdx was sent signal 15 (after syslogd was sent signal 15). While very rare to find, in Solaris days past, I'd have a better idea from experience where the problem might be, and could then narrow things down further with silly (but effective) debugging echo statments in /etc/*.d scripts. With SMF in the picture, I'm not really quite sure where to start. We forced a crash dump via sync at the {ok} prompt for later analysis, and then let the box come up because it's a production server and our scheduled outage window was closing. /var/adm/messages shows nothing of use. Add the os that I added on the menu.lst? How do I add the iso image(os) in the menu.lst? Before adding the .iso files I first made a folder named Windows xp sp2 then placed the .iso files in there. Please help, I think I need to add the folder name or the file name on the menu.lst but I don't know how

  • Adobe Reader unusably slow on Mac OS X 10.6.6

    We've got two Macs that are both running 10.6.6. On my MBP, Adobe (Acrobat) Reader started behaving weird a few weeks ago. It became very sluggish, started missing mouse clicks or mouse button releases, scrolling was next to impossible. Most of the time it does not handle Page Up / Page Down events at all. Zooming works erratically if at all. It's basically unusable. On the other Mac (an iMac), there are no such problems. I've tried to remove and reinstall Adobe Reader as well as upgrading to the latest version, but unfortunately without success. This is the only software that is behaving strangely on this Mac, everything else is working fine. What else could I try?

  • Permanently change IP address on SuSE 10

    I am trying to change IP address of a SuSE 10 machine that is running Tomcat. I need to create a shell script to do this so could not use YaST. As some sites suggested on my Google search, I edited the files in /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth-* to change the IP address. After that, I restarted the network service by calling /etc/init.d/network restart. The network card restarting just fine. I, then, restarted tomcat web service. However, when I browsed the new IP address using browser, I got an "Request denied" message. Can anyone please tell me how I could do this? Thanks

  • Aventail VPN connect on Mac OS X 10.6.2 Snow Leopard

    Hello, I am running Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.2). Recently, my company switched (for whatever odd reason) from Cisco VPN (that used to work fine) to Aventail VPN. I proceeded to install the Aventail VPN client on both the mac and a Windows 7 machine, both on my home network. When I try to connect one or the other (I make sure one is disconnected before connecting through the other machine), I get a connection and view the correct certificate - accept it and Aventail tells me that I am connected. However, accessing any page inside my company's network is only possible on Windows. On the Mac I get the following page: http://grab.by/2WOA It looks like my ISP doesn't know how to redirect me? Maybe something about my DNS being set incorrectly on the Mac? Our helpdesk has been completely useless and I was hoping fellow super users can help. Thanks.

  • Mac OS X Update 10.6.8 weird phishing behaviour

    I just updated to Mac App Store 1.0.2 with the update to 10.6.8. The Mac App Store said I have one update available, for Angry Birds.... I do not have Angry Birds on my system, but when I clicked the update button I got the following message. "You have updates available for other accounts. Sign in to [email protected] to update applications for that account." Needless to say this account does not exist. Any ideas what this is all about?
