I have a linux box running Debian server with minimal number of packages (so no GUI for network management).
The box has two ethernet cards, one of which (eth0) is connected to a Mac OSX computer using a cross-cable.
I can bring up eth0 and assign a static ip (10.10.11.16) to it. This way I can ssh to the box through the cross-cable. This is what…
