  Can't move 'D:\Documents\Websites\blah.svn\tmp\entries' to 'D:\ ... .svn\entries': The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Any thoughts on what would cause this? This usually happens when trying to commit a large number of new files. Sometimes an update fixes it but most of the time I have to delete the offending directory, re-download it, and attempt to add or update it again. EDIT: it seems my pc always wanting to chkdsk as boot is related.

  I'm moving a WordPress blog from Apache to IIS. It's just for a couple weeks until I get it changed out. But all I can get to is the homepage. Everything else throws errors. • Create pdf file dynamically in vb.net for .net 1.1 framework

  I need to create a pdf file dynamically in vb.net. It needs to contain several images and lines of text. I am using VS 2003, so whatever solution I use will need to be compatible with the .net 1.1 framework. The current method I am using is wpcubed, but this requires that all images be converted to bmp format before adding them to the pdf, which can be extremely slow when dealing with a large number of images. I am aware that there are an awful lot of other 3rd party products that claim to do this, and I have had a search through them. But without registering, downloading, installing and writing code to use each of them in turn, it is very difficult to differentiate between them. So far I have looked into evo pdf and pdfsharp but neither seem to work with .net 1.1. (Although they don't make this abundantly clear.) Has anyone else found a method that works and they would recommend (a free one-if possible)?

• Obtain Latitude and Longitude from a GeoTIFF File

  Using GDAL in Python, how do you get the latitude and longitude of a GeoTIFF file? GeoTIFF's do not appear to store any coordinate information. Instead, they store the XY Origin coordinates. However, the XY coordinates do not provide the latitude and longitude of the top left corner and bottom left corner. It appears I will need to do some math to solve this problem, but I don't have a clue on where to start. What procedure is required to have this performed? I know that the GetGeoTransform() method is important for this, however, I don't know what to do with it from there.

  Hi, I've built a site in Interspire Web Publisher and it was working fine, seems to work in Firefox, Safari and Chrome but when I fired up Internet Explorer 7 & 8 only the home page works, all links to other pages show up nothing. Do you think it could have something to do with the .htaccess file? But why would it work at one point then not another? I did a test new site (its database driven) with 3 small pages and it worked fine on Internet Explorer....very weird! my website: http://www.artandepilepsy.com

• .config file not loaded from working directory

  I am new to using .config files, having worked on apps that use .INI files and the registry until very recently. I am seeing a behavior in VS2008 that I would not anticipate, and wonder if it is the expected one. When I configure the Working Directory setting in the VS2008 IDE for my Foo.exe application, I would have guessed that Foo.exe.config would get loaded from that Working Directory. It does not; it gets loaded from the ..\bin\Debug directory, even if I have a Foo.exe.config file in that Working Directory. If I examine the Environment.CurrentDirectory while the configuration is being applied by setting a breakpoint, I see that it is ..\bin\Debug. When I examine the Environment.CurrentDirectory after my main UI's Loaded event, it is set to the Working Directory I applied in the IDE. Is this correct? (Why?)

Now, most examples floating around in the web demonstrates writing to the documents directory. What if I want to write files from my app but I don't want the user to be able to see it via iTunes? I'm looking at the Files and Networking section of the iPhone OS Programming Guide and I'm unsure what would be a good alternative to the documents directory for writing files to hide from the user and not be rejected by Apple's review team.

  i need help with batch file for WINRAR pleasee hi i am trying to use winrar to convert all my different folders individually from one location to another. example: c:\projects\test c:\projects\country c:\projects\db to c:\backup\test.rar c:\backup\country.rar c:\backup\db.rar I am trying the following cmd, which works but what it does is that it gets all the folders in the projects folder into the backup for /f "delims==" %%D in ('DIR C:\projects /A /B /S') do ( "C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.EXE" m -r "c:\backup\projects.rar" "%%D" ) but this is what it does c:\backup\project.rar (it does contain all the files if i extract) i want them separetely can you please help?

• Load a bitmap from file in RGB format (without alpha)

  Hi, i simply want to load a .BMP file and get the Bitmap object in 24bit RGB format (or 32bit in RGB format). All methods I tried return a Bitmap/Image object with PixelFormat = Format32bppArgb. Even if of course BMPs don't have alpha. new Bitmap(System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(fileName, true)); new Bitmap(fileName); I currently solve the problem by copying the first object to another in memory bitmap at 24bit RBG. Is there a single method to do it? Thanks

• Reversing the effects of mkimage to get an original gzipped file back

  Hello, We develop for a specific embedded device at our company, and part of that is making initial root disks that get loaded onto the devices over ethernet via netboot. We've experienced some problems, and as a result, the original folder with the contents of the initial root disks was lost along with its backups, but we do still have the initrd images, that have been created by gzipping the contents of a ramdisk that's been mounted as a local loop device, and then running mkimage on the gzipped file. Is there any way to undo the effects of mkimage and obtain the original gzipped content so that we can recover the original images ?

  Hi, I know this has been discussed a million times. I tried searching through the forums and have seen some close regex expressions and tried to modify them but to no avail. Say there is a line in a csv file like this: "123", 456, "701 "B" Street", 910 Is there an easy regex to detect "B" (since its a non-escaped set of quotes within the normal CSV quotes) and replace it with something like \"B\" ? The final string would end up looking like this: "123", 456, "701 \"B\" Street", 910 Help would be greatly appreciated!

• Method for exporting drawn flash/flex UIComponent to vector based print file

  Hi, I am creating a flex application where I am using the built in graphics package of flex 3 to draw shapes and things to a UIComponent. I want to be able to export this vector image UIComponent to a vector based file, pdf, eps etc. Are there any tools, libraries, or methods for doing so? I looked at AlivePDF - which works very slick, but its output is effectively a snapshot of the UIComponent drawn out as a bitmap to the PDF. I want true vector output, as this image is for print, needs to be able to scale and be color correct. I read somewhere that it may be possible with Adobe Live Cycle, but in looking at the documentation I'm not sure how to use it. Another possibility is to submit the final image parameters to a server-side PHP script that would re-generate the image in SVG format. But as I understand SVG is not ideal for print, and this is lots of extra work. Any thoughts, ideas, methods? Thanks!

  I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to include file paths in ocra and still have the application make an exe. I have it set up so that the .exe generated by ocra would sit on the same directory level as another folder. That folder is named 'Place Files Here', and the program simply performs regex commands on text files in the 'Place Files Here' folder. I can run ocra without errors if I use only Dir.getwd, but if I try to add directory = Dir.getwd + '/Place Files Here' it won't run. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  I have several libraries made by myself (a geometry library, a linked list library, etc). I want to make a header file to include them all in one lib.h. Could I do something like this: #ifndef LIB_H_ #define LIB_H_ #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <linkedlist.h> #include <geometry.h> .... #endif Then I could just reference this one library and actually reference multiple libraries. Is this possible? If not, is there a way around it?

  I am developing a Delphi documents management application, so somehow I am giving the user some functionality similar to windows explorer. Currently I am using imagelists where I manually maintain the icons (like one for pdf, one for xls, ...) and when I need to display an icon for a filetype that I don't explicitly support I have a generic icon. Is there a way to retrieve the icon used by windows, like MyTImage := GiveMeDefaultIconForExtension('pdf'); In Vista and Seven this should be an icon with multiple resolutions I think. Moreover I would like to know if there is a way to get the preview used by windows explorer. For example windows explorer creates a small thumbnail for a pdf document for example, and displays it when the user chooses to view "big icons". Is there a way to retrieve that preview? One of the requirements changed is to support large files (10 to 15MB per RAW camera file, expected 1000 to 5000 files download per day) download worldwide for their customers. The process will be: there is upload screen via paperclip to the rails local public folder a hourly task to upload to web storage (S3?) update the download url from paperclip url to the web url Questions: is there a gem/plug-in for this purpose? if no, any gem/plug-in for S3 to recommend? Questions about the storage provider: is S3 recommended? or other service to recommend? The baseline is: the client's web server does not and will not have the bandwidth to handle the downloads.   I am running a Windows slave for Husdon 1.337 (Linux master). When running a project on the Windows node, it fails with the following message: Building remotely on winTestSlave Checking out a fresh workspace because there's no workspace at C:\hudson\***\ejb remote file operation failed It did work yesterday and I have not upgraded Hudson or changed its configurations (or the slave's configurations) in any way. I establish the connection between the slave and the master by running the following command on a cygwim prompt on the slave: java -jar slave.jar -jnlpUrl http://myserver/computer/winTestSlave/slave-agent.jnlp I saw the issue http://issues.hudson-ci.org/browse/HUDSON-5374 and did as instructed in the work-around but that did not work. I also tried with a newer version of slave.jar (version 1.356) but that did not work either. Does anyone please have any idea of how to fix this? I really cannot find more information anywhere else!

  I'm trying to validate an XML file against a number of different schemas (apologies for the contrived example): a.xsd b.xsd c.xsd c.xsd in particular imports b.xsd and b.xsd imports a.xsd, using: <xs:include schemaLocation="b.xsd"/> I'm trying to do this via Xerces in the following manner: XMLSchemaFactory xmlSchemaFactory = new XMLSchemaFactory(); Schema schema = xmlSchemaFactory.newSchema(new StreamSource[] { new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("a.xsd"), "a.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("b.xsd"), "b.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("c.xsd"), "c.xsd")}); Validator validator = schema.newValidator(); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlContent))); but this is failing to import all three of the schemas correctly resulting in cannot resolve the name 'blah' to a(n) 'group' component. I've validated this successfully using Python, but having real problems with Java 6.0 and Xerces 2.8.1. Can anybody suggest what's going wrong here, or an easier approach to validate my XML documents?
