• Facebook Connect for BlackBerry

  Hi I'm looking for a solution similar to the iPhone Facebook Connect (http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Facebook%5FConnect%5Ffor%5FiPhone) for the BlackBerry platform. Basically, I need my users to authenticate against Facebook from within a native BlackBerry application (so, not a Web based mobile application). Is there a library I could use, and if not, what will be the correct approach to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

  I have read under: Compiling Web Application Projects (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa983464.aspx) ... this compilation model creates a single assembly, you can specify attributes, such as assembly name and version. You can supply a PATH (directory name only) in the Visual Studio "Build Options". But where can the file name for the assembly be specified?

  I have a number of Office 2007 documents (.pptx, .docx, .xlsx) in a SharePoint document library and when user tries to open the documents, it tries to open as a zip file. This happens to some users, but not all. I posted this issue at http://superuser.com/questions/110211/why-office-2007-documents-open-as-a-zip-file, but I failed to mention that it was related to the Sharepoint so it got moved to the superuser.com Please help.

  I set Isolated=true to some COM library that I need to use registration free. Visual studio now created Native.* manifest files for each of my assemblies: Why "Native"? Can I change this?   I have a serializable POCO called DataUnification.ClientData.ClientInfo in a .NET class library project A. It's used in a parameter for a web service defined in project B: public XmlDocument CreateNewClient(ClientInfo ci, string system) I now wish to call this web method from project C and use the original DataUnification.ClientData.ClientInfo type in the parameter. However due to the generated proxy class it has now become a different type: WebServices.ClientDataUnification.DataUnificationWebService.ClientInfo. As far as .NET is concerned these are not the same types. How can I get around this?

  I am using the mingw(4.4.0) compiler that is included with QT4 and my IDE is netbeans 6.9. i noticed that i can't find netcon.h when i try to include it.I need netcon.h because i need some kind of API to bring up/down a network adapter,and after some googling i found that netcon.h is most commonly used. Linking netcon.h directly from the microsoft sdk produces lots of errors.Or is there some other library to alows me to reset an adapter, or i had to visual C++ completely to solve this problem?

Which i don't need to reference on the main layout page. • Memory leak appears only when multiprocessing

  I am trying to use python's multiprocessing library to hopefully gain some performance. Specifically I am using its map function. Now, for some reason when I swap it out with its single threaded counterpart I don't get any memory leaks over time. But using the multiprocessing version of map causes my memory to go through the roof. For the record I am doing something which can easily hog up loads of memory, but what would the difference be between the two to cause such a stark difference?

• Using matlab, why does something like fts.data work in one directory but not another?

• Linq To Sql or classic ADO.net?

  I am asking my self many times before start writting a new app or data access library , should I use LinqToSql or classic ADO.net , I have used both and the development time I spend on building an app with Linq To sql is like the 1/3 compared to ADO.net. The only think I like using Linq to sql is that I dont have to design the domain objects Linq does that for me and saves me from spend my time on boring things :P But is Linq to sql suitable for large scale projects , is there an overhead that we can avoid when using ADO.net ?
