  • Does anyone know how to appropriately deal with user timezones in rails 2.3?

    - by Amazing Jay
    We're building a rails app that needs to display dates (and more importantly, calculate them) in multiple timezones. Can anyone point me towards how to work with user timezones in rails 2.3(.5 or .8) The most inclusive article I've seen detailing how user time zones are supposed to work is here: http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/howtos/time-zones... although it is unclear when this was written or for what version of rails. Specifically it states that: "Time.zone - The time zone that is actually used for display purposes. This may be set manually to override config.time_zone on a per-request basis." Keys terms being "display purposes" and "per-request basis". Locally on my machine, this is true. However on production, neither are true. Setting Time.zone persists past the end of the request (to all subsequent requests) and also affects the way AR saves to the DB (basically treating any date as if it were already in UTC even when its not), thus saving completely inappropriate values. We run Ruby Enterprise Edition on production with passenger. If this is my problem, do we need to switch to JRuby or something else? To illustrate the problem I put the following actions in my ApplicationController right now: def test p_time = Time.now.utc s_time = Time.utc(p_time.year, p_time.month, p_time.day, p_time.hour) logger.error "TIME.ZONE" + Time.zone.inspect logger.error ENV['TZ'].inspect logger.error p_time.inspect logger.error s_time.inspect jl = JunkLead.create! jl.date_at = s_time logger.error s_time.inspect logger.error jl.date_at.inspect jl.save! logger.error s_time.inspect logger.error jl.date_at.inspect render :nothing => true, :status => 200 end def test2 Time.zone = 'Mountain Time (US & Canada)' logger.error "TIME.ZONE" + Time.zone.inspect logger.error ENV['TZ'].inspect render :nothing => true, :status => 200 end def test3 Time.zone = 'UTC' logger.error "TIME.ZONE" + Time.zone.inspect logger.error ENV['TZ'].inspect render :nothing => true, :status => 200 end and they yield the following: Processing ApplicationController#test (for 98.202.196.203 at 2010-12-24 22:15:50) [GET] TIME.ZONE#<ActiveSupport::TimeZone:0x2c57a68 @tzinfo=#<TZInfo::DataTimezone: Etc/UTC>, @name="UTC", @utc_offset=0> nil Fri Dec 24 22:15:50 UTC 2010 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri, 24 Dec 2010 22:00:00 UTC +00:00 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri, 24 Dec 2010 22:00:00 UTC +00:00 Completed in 21ms (View: 0, DB: 4) | 200 OK [http://www.dealsthatmatter.com/test] Processing ApplicationController#test2 (for 98.202.196.203 at 2010-12-24 22:15:53) [GET] TIME.ZONE#<ActiveSupport::TimeZone:0x2c580a8 @tzinfo=#<TZInfo::DataTimezone: America/Denver>, @name="Mountain Time (US & Canada)", @utc_offset=-25200> nil Completed in 143ms (View: 1, DB: 3) | 200 OK [http://www.dealsthatmatter.com/test2] Processing ApplicationController#test (for 98.202.196.203 at 2010-12-24 22:15:59) [GET] TIME.ZONE#<ActiveSupport::TimeZone:0x2c580a8 @tzinfo=#<TZInfo::DataTimezone: America/Denver>, @name="Mountain Time (US & Canada)", @utc_offset=-25200> nil Fri Dec 24 22:15:59 UTC 2010 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri, 24 Dec 2010 15:00:00 MST -07:00 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri, 24 Dec 2010 15:00:00 MST -07:00 Completed in 20ms (View: 0, DB: 4) | 200 OK [http://www.dealsthatmatter.com/test] Processing ApplicationController#test3 (for 98.202.196.203 at 2010-12-24 22:16:03) [GET] TIME.ZONE#<ActiveSupport::TimeZone:0x2c57a68 @tzinfo=#<TZInfo::DataTimezone: Etc/UTC>, @name="UTC", @utc_offset=0> nil Completed in 17ms (View: 0, DB: 2) | 200 OK [http://www.dealsthatmatter.com/test3] Processing ApplicationController#test (for 98.202.196.203 at 2010-12-24 22:16:04) [GET] TIME.ZONE#<ActiveSupport::TimeZone:0x2c57a68 @tzinfo=#<TZInfo::DataTimezone: Etc/UTC>, @name="UTC", @utc_offset=0> nil Fri Dec 24 22:16:05 UTC 2010 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri, 24 Dec 2010 22:00:00 UTC +00:00 Fri Dec 24 22:00:00 UTC 2010 Fri, 24 Dec 2010 22:00:00 UTC +00:00 Completed in 151ms (View: 0, DB: 4) | 200 OK [http://www.dealsthatmatter.com/test] It should be clear above that the 2nd call to /test shows Time.zone set to Mountain, even though it shouldn't. Additionally, checking the database reveals that the test action when run after test2 saved a JunkLead record with a date of 2010-12-22 15:00:00, which is clearly wrong.

  • Groovy/Grails Using WSClient to consume .net web service

    - by ROb
    I'm pretty new to both Grails/Groovy/Web services and i'm consuming a .net web service .. I have some code connects to the service using grails WS-client plugin : WebService webService def result = { def wsdl = ApplicationHolder.application.parentContext.getResource('WEB-INF/productsSoap.wsdl') def proxy = webService.getClient(wsdl.getURL().toString()) def productTypeListResponse = proxy.ProductTypeList() } I also used soapUI to examine the data returned from the web service which gave .. <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soap:Body> <ProductTypeListResponse xmlns="http://tempuri.org/"> <ProductTypeListResult> <xs:schema id="ProductTypeListResult" xmlns="" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata"> <xs:element name="ProductTypeListResult" msdata:IsDataSet="true" msdata:UseCurrentLocale="true"> <xs:complexType> <xs:choice minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"> <xs:element name="ProductTypeListResult"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="PRD_TypeId" type="xs:int" minOccurs="0"/> <xs:element name="PRD_TypeName" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/> <xs:element name="PRD_Type" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:choice> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:schema> <diffgr:diffgram xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata" xmlns:diffgr="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-diffgram-v1"> <ProductTypeListResult xmlns=""> <ProductTypeListResult diffgr:id="ProductTypeListResult1" msdata:rowOrder="0"> <PRD_TypeId>2</PRD_TypeId> <PRD_TypeName>ProdType2</PRD_TypeName> <PRD_Type>S</PRD_Type> </ProductTypeListResult> <ProductTypeListResult diffgr:id="ProductTypeListResult2" msdata:rowOrder="1"> <PRD_TypeId>3</PRD_TypeId> <PRD_TypeName>ProdType3</PRD_TypeName> <PRD_Type>C</PRD_Type> </ProductTypeListResult> <ProductTypeListResult diffgr:id="ProductTypeListResult3" msdata:rowOrder="2"> <PRD_TypeId>4</PRD_TypeId> <PRD_TypeName>ProdType4</PRD_TypeName> </ProductTypeListResult> </ProductTypeListResult> </diffgr:diffgram> </ProductTypeListResult> </ProductTypeListResponse> which is a .net dataset .. So my question is how do i get at the information using my productTypeListResponse ? Can anyone give me a pointer ?

  • LibreOffice UNO Java API: how to open a document, execute a macro and close it?

    - by MarcoS
    I'm working on LibreOffice server-side: on the server I run soffice --accept=... Then I use Java LibreOffice client API's to apply a macro on a document (calc or writer). The java execution does not give any error, but I do not get the job done (macro code is executed, but it's effects are not in the output file). More, after macro script is invoked, the Basic debugger window appears, apparently stopped on the first line of my macro; F5 does not restart it... This is the relevant code I'm using: try { XComponentContext xLocalContext = Bootstrap.createInitialComponentContext(null); System.out.println("xLocalContext"); XMultiComponentFactory xLocalServiceManager = xLocalContext.getServiceManager(); System.out.println("xLocalServiceManager"); Object urlResolver = xLocalServiceManager.createInstanceWithContext( "com.sun.star.bridge.UnoUrlResolver", xLocalContext); System.out.println("urlResolver"); XUnoUrlResolver xUrlResolver = (XUnoUrlResolver) UnoRuntime.queryInterface(XUnoUrlResolver.class, urlResolver); System.out.println("xUrlResolve"); try { String uno = "uno:" + unoMode + ",host=" + unoHost + ",port=" + unoPort + ";" + unoProtocol + ";" + unoObjectName; Object rInitialObject = xUrlResolver.resolve(uno); System.out.println("rInitialObject"); if (null != rInitialObject) { XMultiComponentFactory xOfficeFactory = (XMultiComponentFactory) UnoRuntime.queryInterface( XMultiComponentFactory.class, rInitialObject); System.out.println("xOfficeFactory"); Object desktop = xOfficeFactory.createInstanceWithContext("com.sun.star.frame.Desktop", xLocalContext); System.out.println("desktop"); XComponentLoader xComponentLoader = (XComponentLoader)UnoRuntime.queryInterface( XComponentLoader.class, desktop); System.out.println("xComponentLoader"); PropertyValue[] loadProps = new PropertyValue[3]; loadProps[0] = new PropertyValue(); loadProps[0].Name = "Hidden"; loadProps[0].Value = Boolean.TRUE; loadProps[1] = new PropertyValue(); loadProps[1].Name = "ReadOnly"; loadProps[1].Value = Boolean.FALSE; loadProps[2] = new PropertyValue(); loadProps[2].Name = "MacroExecutionMode"; loadProps[2].Value = new Short(com.sun.star.document.MacroExecMode.ALWAYS_EXECUTE_NO_WARN); try { XComponent xComponent = xComponentLoader.loadComponentFromURL("file:///" + inputFile, "_blank", 0, loadProps); System.out.println("xComponent from " + inputFile); String macroName = "Standard.Module1.MYMACRONAME?language=Basic&location=application"; Object[] aParams = null; XScriptProviderSupplier xScriptPS = (XScriptProviderSupplier) UnoRuntime.queryInterface(XScriptProviderSupplier.class, xComponent); XScriptProvider xScriptProvider = xScriptPS.getScriptProvider(); XScript xScript = xScriptProvider.getScript("vnd.sun.star.script:"+macroName); short[][] aOutParamIndex = new short[1][1]; Object[][] aOutParam = new Object[1][1]; @SuppressWarnings("unused") Object result = xScript.invoke(aParams, aOutParamIndex, aOutParam); System.out.println("xScript invoke macro" + macroName); XStorable xStore = (XStorable)UnoRuntime.queryInterface(XStorable.class, xComponent); System.out.println("xStore"); if (outputFileType.equalsIgnoreCase("pdf")) { System.out.println("writer_pdf_Export"); loadProps[0].Name = "FilterName"; loadProps[0].Value = "writer_pdf_Export"; } xStore.storeToURL("file:///" + outputFile, loadProps); System.out.println("storeToURL to file " + outputFile); xComponent.dispose(); xComponentLoader = null; rInitialObject = null; System.out.println("done."); System.exit(0); } catch(IllegalArgumentException e) { System.err.println("Error: Can't load component from url " + inputFile); } } else { System.err.println("Error: Unknown initial object name at server side"); } } catch(NoConnectException e) { System.err.println("Error: Server Connection refused: check server is listening..."); } } catch(java.lang.Exception e) { System.err.println("Error: Java exception:"); e.printStackTrace(); }

  • Partial generic type inference possible in C#?

    - by Lasse V. Karlsen
    I am working on rewriting my fluent interface for my IoC class library, and when I refactored some code in order to share some common functionality through a base class, I hit upon a snag. Note: This is something I want to do, not something I have to do. If I have to make do with a different syntax, I will, but if anyone has an idea on how to make my code compile the way I want it, it would be most welcome. I want some extension methods to be available for a specific base-class, and these methods should be generic, with one generic type, related to an argument to the method, but the methods should also return a specific type related to the particular descendant they're invoked upon. Better with a code example than the above description methinks. Here's a simple and complete example of what doesn't work: using System; namespace ConsoleApplication16 { public class ParameterizedRegistrationBase { } public class ConcreteTypeRegistration : ParameterizedRegistrationBase { public void SomethingConcrete() { } } public class DelegateRegistration : ParameterizedRegistrationBase { public void SomethingDelegated() { } } public static class Extensions { public static ParameterizedRegistrationBase Parameter<T>( this ParameterizedRegistrationBase p, string name, T value) { return p; } } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { ConcreteTypeRegistration ct = new ConcreteTypeRegistration(); ct .Parameter<int>("age", 20) .SomethingConcrete(); // <-- this is not available DelegateRegistration del = new DelegateRegistration(); del .Parameter<int>("age", 20) .SomethingDelegated(); // <-- neither is this } } } If you compile this, you'll get: 'ConsoleApplication16.ParameterizedRegistrationBase' does not contain a definition for 'SomethingConcrete' and no extension method 'SomethingConcrete'... 'ConsoleApplication16.ParameterizedRegistrationBase' does not contain a definition for 'SomethingDelegated' and no extension method 'SomethingDelegated'... What I want is for the extension method (Parameter<T>) to be able to be invoked on both ConcreteTypeRegistration and DelegateRegistration, and in both cases the return type should match the type the extension was invoked on. The problem is as follows: I would like to write: ct.Parameter<string>("name", "Lasse") ^------^ notice only one generic argument but also that Parameter<T> returns an object of the same type it was invoked on, which means: ct.Parameter<string>("name", "Lasse").SomethingConcrete(); ^ ^-------+-------^ | | +---------------------------------------------+ .SomethingConcrete comes from the object in "ct" which in this case is of type ConcreteTypeRegistration Is there any way I can trick the compiler into making this leap for me? If I add two generic type arguments to the Parameter method, type inference forces me to either provide both, or none, which means this: public static TReg Parameter<TReg, T>( this TReg p, string name, T value) where TReg : ParameterizedRegistrationBase gives me this: Using the generic method 'ConsoleApplication16.Extensions.Parameter<TReg,T>(TReg, string, T)' requires 2 type arguments Using the generic method 'ConsoleApplication16.Extensions.Parameter<TReg,T>(TReg, string, T)' requires 2 type arguments Which is just as bad. I can easily restructure the classes, or even make the methods non-extension-methods by introducing them into the hierarchy, but my question is if I can avoid having to duplicate the methods for the two descendants, and in some way declare them only once, for the base class. Let me rephrase that. Is there a way to change the classes in the first code example above, so that the syntax in the Main-method can be kept, without duplicating the methods in question? The code will have to be compatible with both C# 3.0 and 4.0. Edit: The reason I'd rather not leave both generic type arguments to inference is that for some services, I want to specify a parameter value for a constructor parameter that is of one type, but pass in a value that is a descendant. For the moment, matching of specified argument values and the correct constructor to call is done using both the name and the type of the argument. Let me give an example: ServiceContainerBuilder.Register<ISomeService>(r => r .From(f => f.ConcreteType<FileService>(ct => ct .Parameter<Stream>("source", new FileStream(...))))); ^--+---^ ^---+----^ | | | +- has to be a descendant of Stream | +- has to match constructor of FileService If I leave both to type inference, the parameter type will be FileStream, not Stream.

This gives us the parent ' path relative to the root folder ' eg. if parent folder is "c:webfilessubfolder1subfolder2" then we just want "subfolder1subfolder2" sParent = mid(sParent, len(sRoot) + 1) Response.Write "<table border=""1"">" ' Give a link to the parent folder. • Why do jQuery fadeIn() and fadeOut() seem quirky in this example?

    - by Ben McCormack
    I've been playing with jQuery in an ASP.NET project and am finding some odd behavior with the .fadeIn() and fadeOut() functions. In the below example, a click on the button (ID Button1) is supposed to cause both the span of text with ID Label1 and the the button with the ID TextBox1 to do the following things: Fade Out Change the text of both the text box and the span of text to be You clicked the button Fade In Based on the browser I'm using, I get 3 different scenarios, and each element functions differently in each situation. Here's what happens when I actually click the button: TextBox1: In IE8, the text box fades out, changes text, then fades back in In IE8 Compatibility View, the text box fades out, changes text, then fades back in. However, the text in the box looks a little different than before the button was clicked. In FireFox 3.5.8, the text box doesn't fade out (but it does "pause" for the amount of time the fade would take), does change the text, then seems to "pause" again where it would be fading in. Label1: In IE8, the label doesn't fade out (but it does "pause" for the amount of time the fade would take), does change the text, then seems to "pause" again where it would be fading in. In IE8 Compatibility View, the label does fade out, change text, and fades back in, but the text looks a little different than before the button was clicked. In FireFox 3.5.8, the label doesn't fade out (but it does "pause" for the amount of time the fade would take), does change the text, then seems to "pause" again where it would be fading in. Two questions: What's going in to make each element to behave differently in different browsers? Is there a better way to get the functionality I'm looking for across multiple platforms? Here's the source code of the file: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head><title> </title> <script src="http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jQuery/jquery-1.4.1-vsdoc.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#Button1").click(function(event) { $("#Label1").fadeOut("slow", function() { $(this).text("You clicked the button"); $(this).fadeIn("slow"); }); $("#TextBox1").fadeOut("slow", function() { $(this).val("You clicked the button").fadeIn("slow"); $(this).fadeIn("slow"); }); event.preventDefault(); }); $("a").click(function(event) { $("#Label1").text("You clicked the link"); $("#TextBox1").val("You clicked the link"); event.preventDefault(); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <form name="form1" method="post" action="Default.aspx" id="form1"> <div> <input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" id="__VIEWSTATE" value="/wEPDwUJNTQwMjM5ODcyZGT6OfedWuFhLrSUyp+gwkCEueddvg==" /> </div> <div> <input type="hidden" name="__EVENTVALIDATION" id="__EVENTVALIDATION" value="/wEWAwK56uWtBwLs0bLrBgKM54rGBotkyyA5RRsPBGNaPTPCe7F5ARwv" /> </div> <div> <span id="Label1" style="color:#009900;">Type Something Here:</span> &nbsp; <a href="http://www.google.com">This is a test Link</a> <input name="TextBox1" type="text" value="test" id="TextBox1" style="width:258px;" /> <br /> <br /> <input type="submit" name="Button1" value="Button" id="Button1" /> </div> </form> </body> </html>

  • How to structure a Kohana MVC application with dynamically added fields and provide validation and f

    - by Matt H
    I've got a bit of a problem. I have a Kohana application that has dynamically added fields. The fields that are added are called DISA numbers. In the model I look these up and the result is returned as an array. I encode the array into a JSON string and use JQuery to populate them The View knows the length of the array and so creates as many DISA elements as required before display. See the code below for a summary of how that works. What I'm finding is that this is starting to get difficult to manage. The code is becoming messy. Error handling of this type of dynamic content is ending up being spread all over the place. Not only that, it doesn't work how I want. What you see here is just a small snippet of code. For error handling I am using the validation library. I started by using add_rules on all the fields that come back in the post. As they are always phone numbers I set a required rule (when it's there) and a digit rule on the validation-as_array() keys. That works. The difficulty is actually giving it back to the view. i.e. dynamically added javascript field. Submits back to form. Save contents into a session. View has to load up fields from database + those from the previous post and signal the fields that have problems. It's all quite messy and I'm getting this code spread through both the view the controller and the model. So my question is. Have you done this before in Kohana and how have you handled it? There must be an easier way right? • xpath 2.0 query - how to test for the first occurence of an element in a xml document

    - by Mike
    I have the following xsl template: <xsl:template match="para"> <fo:block xsl:use-attribute-sets="paragraph.para"> <!-- if first para in document --> <!--<xsl:if test="//para[1] intersect .">--> <xsl:if test="//para[1] intersect ."> <xsl:attribute name="space-after">10pt</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="background-color">yellow</xsl:attribute> </xsl:if> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="preceding-sibling::*[1][self::title]"> <xsl:attribute name="text-indent">0em</xsl:attribute> </xsl:when> <xsl:when test="parent::item"> <xsl:attribute name="text-indent">0em</xsl:attribute> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <xsl:attribute name="text-indent">1em</xsl:attribute> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> <xsl:apply-templates/> </fo:block> </xsl:template> The problem I am having is selecting the very first para node in the document from the following xml: <document> <section> <paragraph> <para>Para Text 1*#</para> <para>Para Text 2</para> </paragraph> </section> <paragraph> <para>Para Text 3*</para> <para>Para Text 4</para> <para>Para Text 5</para> <sub-paragraph> <para>Para Text 6*</para> <para>Para Text 7</para> </sub-paragraph> </paragraph> <appendix> <paragraph> <para>Para Text 8*</para> </paragraph> <paragraph> <para>Para Text 9</para> </paragraph> </appendix> </document> the xpath I am currently using is "//para[1] intersect ." which is selecting the first para for each group of para (denoted with a * in XML sample). Any ideas on how I can just select the first occurance of para within document (denoted with a #)?

  • The maven assembly plugin is not using the finalName for installing with attach=true?

    - by Roland Wiesemann
    I have configured following assembly: <build> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-assembly-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.2-beta-5</version> <executions> <execution> <id>${project.name}-test-assembly</id> <phase>package</phase> <goals> <goal>single</goal> </goals> <configuration> <appendAssemblyId>false</appendAssemblyId> <finalName>${project.name}-test</finalName> <filters> <filter>src/assemble/test/distribution.properties</filter> </filters> <descriptors> <descriptor>src/assemble/distribution.xml</descriptor> </descriptors> <attach>true</attach> </configuration> </execution> <execution> <id>${project.name}-prod-assembly</id> <phase>package</phase> <goals> <goal>single</goal> </goals> <configuration> <appendAssemblyId>false</appendAssemblyId> <finalName>${project.name}-prod</finalName> <filters> <filter>src/assemble/prod/distribution.properties</filter> </filters> <descriptors> <descriptor>src/assemble/distribution.xml</descriptor> </descriptors> <attach>true</attach> </configuration> </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </build> This produced two zip-files: distribution-prod.zip distribution-test.zip My expectation for the property attach=true is, that the two zip-files are installed with the name as given in property finalName. But the result is, only one file is installed (attached) to the artifact. The maven protocol is: distrib-0.1-SNAPSHOT.zip distrib-0.1-SNAPSHOT.zip The plugin is using the artifact-id instead of property finalName! Is this a bug? The last installation is overwriting the first one. What can i do to install this two files with different names? Thanks for your investigation. Roland

  • Jasper report always showing no content, why?

    - by spderosso
    Hi, I have the following code: InputStream reportFile = MyPage.this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("test.jrxml"); HashMap<String, String> parameters = new HashMap<String, String>(); parameters.put("StringParameterName", "show me"); try { JasperReport report = JasperCompileManager.compileReport(reportFile); JasperPrint print = JasperFillManager.fillReport(report, parameters); return JasperExportManager.exportReportToPdf(print); } catch (JRException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); return null; } And the test.jrxml looks like this (I generated part of it with the iReport, the only thing I did was to remove the language="groovy" attribute): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <jasperReport xmlns="http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/jasperreports" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/jasperreports http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/xsd/jasperreport.xsd" name="test" pageWidth="595" pageHeight="842" columnWidth="555" leftMargin="20" rightMargin="20" topMargin="20" bottomMargin="20"> <property name="ireport.zoom" value="1.0"/> <property name="ireport.x" value="0"/> <property name="ireport.y" value="0"/> <parameter name="StringParameterName" isForPrompting="false" class="java.lang.String"/> <background> <band splitType="Stretch"/> </background> <title> <band height="20"> <staticText> <reportElement x="180" y="0" width="200" height="20"/> <text><![CDATA[Hello World!]]></text> </staticText> </band> </title> <pageHeader> <band height="35" splitType="Stretch"/> </pageHeader> <columnHeader> <band height="61" splitType="Stretch"/> </columnHeader> <detail> <band height="125" splitType="Stretch"> <textField> <reportElement x="243" y="77" width="100" height="20"/> <textElement/> <textFieldExpression class="java.lang.String"><![CDATA[$P{StringParameterName}]]></textFieldExpression> </textField> </band> </detail> <columnFooter> <band height="45" splitType="Stretch"/> </columnFooter> <pageFooter> <band height="54" splitType="Stretch"/> </pageFooter> <summary> <band height="42" splitType="Stretch"/> </summary> </jasperReport> As a result I always get a blank pdf file.   • VS2008 Windows Form Designer does not like my control.

    - by Thedric Walker
    I have a control that is created like so: public partial class MYControl : MyControlBase { public string InnerText { get { return textBox1.Text; } set { textBox1.Text = value; } } public MYControl() { InitializeComponent(); } } partial class MYControl { /// <summary> /// Required designer variable. /// </summary> private System.ComponentModel.IContainer components = null; /// <summary> /// Clean up any resources being used. /// </summary> /// <param name="disposing">true if managed resources should be disposed; otherwise, false.</param> protected override void Dispose(bool disposing) { if (disposing && (components != null)) { components.Dispose(); } base.Dispose(disposing); } #region Component Designer generated code /// <summary> /// Required method for Designer support - do not modify /// the contents of this method with the code editor. /// </summary> private void InitializeComponent() { this.textBox1 = new System.Windows.Forms.TextBox(); this.listBox1 = new System.Windows.Forms.ListBox(); this.label1 = new System.Windows.Forms.Label(); this.SuspendLayout(); // // textBox1 // this.textBox1.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(28, 61); this.textBox1.Name = "textBox1"; this.textBox1.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(100, 20); this.textBox1.TabIndex = 0; // // listBox1 // this.listBox1.FormattingEnabled = true; this.listBox1.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(7, 106); this.listBox1.Name = "listBox1"; this.listBox1.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(120, 95); this.listBox1.TabIndex = 1; // // label1 // this.label1.AutoSize = true; this.label1.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(91, 42); this.label1.Name = "label1"; this.label1.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(35, 13); this.label1.TabIndex = 2; this.label1.Text = "label1"; // // MYControl // this.AutoScaleDimensions = new System.Drawing.SizeF(6F, 13F); this.AutoScaleMode = System.Windows.Forms.AutoScaleMode.Font; this.Controls.Add(this.label1); this.Controls.Add(this.listBox1); this.Controls.Add(this.textBox1); this.Name = "MYControl"; this.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(135, 214); this.ResumeLayout(false); this.PerformLayout(); } #endregion private System.Windows.Forms.Label label1; } MyControlBase contains the definition for the ListBox and TextBox. Now when I try to view this control in the Form Designer it gives me these errors: The variable 'listBox1' is either undeclared or was never assigned. The variable 'textBox1' is either undeclared or was never assigned. This is obviously wrong as they are defined in MyControlBase with public access. Is there any way to massage Form Designer into allowing me to visually edit my control?

When I double-click a .wlog file, it opens up my application. However, it doesn't open the correct file. I read somewhere that JNLP was supposed to pass parameters to the main method indicating which file caused the app to be launched, but this is not happening (on OS X 10.6). I get an empty array to my application's main method. Probably unrelated, my splash screen doesn't work :( Any pointers on getting this working?

  • jQuery .append() not working in IE, Safari, and Chrome

    - by mkmcdonald
    So I'm using jQuery's AJAX function to read some XML for me and it's worked just fine. But now I'm trying to manipulate the display property of 4 different dynamically generated divs. The size and x/y of the divs are determined by the XML and are parsed through. My problem lies in the face that these divs either aren't being generated or just don't show up in IE, Safari, and Chrome. In Firefox and Opera, they do work. I'm using jQuery's .append() to create the divs and then the .css() functino to manipulate them. Looking in Chrome's developer tools, I am seeing that the css property being changed in the script is being overridden by the property in the stylesheet. Any fixes? $(document).ready(function(){ $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "generate?test", dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { $(xml).find('template').each(function(){ var portion = $(this).attr('portion'); var select; var name = $(this).find('$(this):first').text(); var mutability = $(this).attr('mutability'); var x = (parseInt($(this).find('x:first').text())*96)/72; var y = (parseInt($(this).find('y:first').text())*96)/72; switch(portion){ case "stub": select = $('#StubTemplates'); select.append(""+name+""); break; case "body": select = $('#BodyTemplates'); select.append(""+name+""); y = y + 90; break; } switch(mutability){ case "dynamic": var width = (parseInt($(this).find('width:first').text())*96)/72; var height = (parseInt($(this).find('height:first').text())*96)/72; var n = name; switch(portion){ case "stub": $('.ticket').append("") break; case "body": $('.ticket').append(""); break; } var top = $('#'+n).position().top; var left = parseInt($('#'+n).css('margin-left')); $('#'+n).css('top', (y+top)+"px"); $('#'+n).css('margin-left', (x+left)+"px"); $('#'+n).css('width', width+"px"); $('#'+n).css('height', height+"px"); break; case "static": var n = name; switch(portion){ case "stub": $('.ticket').append(""); break; case "body": $('.ticket').append(""); break; } break; } }); var stubActive = false; var bodyActive = false; $('#StubTemplates').find('.ddindent').mouseup(function(){ var tVal = $(this).val(); var tTitle = $(this).attr('title'); if(!stubActive){ $('.stubEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); stubActive = true; }else{ $('.stubEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); stubActive = false; } }); $('#StubTemplates').find('#stubTempNone').mouseup(function(){ $('.stubEditable').css('display', 'none'); }); $('#BodyTemplates').find('.ddindent').mouseup(function(){ var tVal = $(this).val(); var tTitle = $(this).attr('title'); if(!bodyActive){ $('.bodyEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); bodyActive = true; }else{ $('.bodyEditable').css('display', 'none'); $('#'+tVal).css('display', 'block'); bodyActive = false; } }); $('#BodyTemplates').find('#bodyTempNone').mouseup(function(){ $('.bodyEditable').css('display', 'none'); }); } }); });

  • WCF zero application endpoint exception

    - by Lijo
    Hi Team, I am just trying with various WCF(in .Net 3.0) scenarios. I am using self hosting. I am getting an exception as "Service 'MyServiceLibrary.NameDecorator' has zero application (non-infrastructure) endpoints. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no service element matching the service name could be found in the configuration file, or because no endpoints were defined in the service element." I have a config file as follows (which has an endpoint) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="Lijo.Samples.NameDecorator" behaviorConfiguration="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://localhost:8010/ServiceModelSamples/FreeServiceWorld"/> </baseAddresses> </host> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="Lijo.Samples.IElementaryService" /> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="False"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> And a Host as using System.ServiceModel; using System.ServiceModel.Dispatcher; using System.ServiceModel.Channels; using System.ServiceModel.Description; using System.Runtime.Serialization; namespace MySelfHostConsoleApp { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { System.ServiceModel.ServiceHost myHost = new ServiceHost(typeof(MyServiceLibrary.NameDecorator)); myHost.Open(); Console.ReadLine(); } } } My Service is as follows using System.ServiceModel; using System.Runtime.Serialization; namespace MyServiceLibrary { [ServiceContract(Namespace = "http://Lijo.Samples")] public interface IElementaryService { [OperationContract] CompanyLogo GetLogo(); } public class NameDecorator : IElementaryService { public CompanyLogo GetLogo() { CircleType cirlce = new CircleType(); CompanyLogo logo = new CompanyLogo(cirlce); return logo; } } [DataContract] public abstract class IShape { public abstract string SelfExplain(); } [DataContract(Name = "Circle")] public class CircleType : IShape { public override string SelfExplain() { return "I am a Circle"; } } [DataContract(Name = "Triangle")] public class TriangleType : IShape { public override string SelfExplain() { return "I am a Triangle"; } } [DataContract] [KnownType(typeof(CircleType))] [KnownType(typeof(TriangleType))] public class CompanyLogo { private IShape m_shapeOfLogo; [DataMember] public IShape ShapeOfLogo { get { return m_shapeOfLogo; } set { m_shapeOfLogo = value; } } public CompanyLogo(IShape shape) { m_shapeOfLogo = shape; } } } Could you please help me to understand what I am missing here? • How to set incremental CSS classes in each Table Cell with jQuery?

    - by Mark Rapp
    I have a table populated via a DB and it renders like so (it could have any number of columns referring to "time", 5 columns, 8 columns, 2 columns, etc): <table id="eventInfo"> <tr> <td class="name">John</td> <td class="date">Dec 20</td> <td class="**time**">2pm</td> <td class="**time**">3pm</td> <td class="**time**">4pm</td> <td class="event">Birthday</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="name">Billy</td> <td class="date">Dec 19</td> <td class="**time**">6pm</td> <td class="**time**">7pm</td> <td class="**time**">8pm</td> <td class="event">Birthday</td> </tr> With jQuery, I'd like to go through each Table Row and incrementally set an additional class-name on only the Table Cells where "class='time'" so that the result would be: John Dec 20 2pm 3pm 4pm Birthday Billy Dec 19 6pm 7pm 8pm Birthday I've only been able to get it to count all of the Table Cells where "class='time'" and not each set within its own Table Row. This is what I've tried with jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { $("table#eventInfo tr").each(function() { var tcount = 0; $("td.time").attr("class", function() { return "timenum-" + tcount++; }) //writes out the results in each TD .each(function() { $("span", this).html("(class = '<b>" + this.className + "</b>')"); }); }); }); Unfortunately, this only results in: <table id="eventInfo"> <tr> <td class="name">John</td> <td class="date">Dec 20</td> <td class="**time** **timenum-1**">2pm</td> <td class="**time** **timenum-2**">3pm</td> <td class="**time** **timenum-3**">4pm</td> <td class="event">Birthday</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="name">Billy</td> <td class="date">Dec 19</td> <td class="**time** **timenum-4**">6pm</td> <td class="**time** **timenum-5**">7pm</td> <td class="**time** **timenum-6**">8pm</td> <td class="event">Birthday</td> </tr> Thanks for your help!

  • WCF Service error on IIS with metadata

    - by Bruno Silva
    Hi, I'm trying to publish a service to IIS, it builds and runs OK on the ASP.NET dev server. When running in IIS I can get to the metadata by navigating to the service or by adding service reference in Visual Studio. But when I call a method from my client app it crashes with a internal server error. So I went to the Event Log and found this: WebHost failed to process a request. • Trying get dynamic content hole-punched through Magento's Full Page Cache

    - by rlflow
    I am using Magento Enterprise 1.10.1.1 and need to get some dynamic content on our product pages. I am inserting the current time in a block to quickly see if it is working, but can't seem to get through full page cache. I have tried a variety of implementations found here: http://tweetorials.tumblr.com/post/10160075026/ee-full-page-cache-hole-punching http://oggettoweb.com/blog/customizations-compatible-magento-full-page-cache/ http://magentophp.blogspot.com/2011/02/magento-enterprise-full-page-caching.html (http://www.exploremagento.com/magento/simple-custom-module.php - custom module) Any solutions, thoughts, comments, advice is welcome. here is my code: app/code/local/Fido/Example/etc/config.xml <?xml version="1.0"?> <config> <modules> <Fido_Example> <version>0.1.0</version> </Fido_Example> </modules> <global> <blocks> <fido_example> <class>Fido_Example_Block</class> </fido_example> </blocks> </global> </config> app/code/local/Fido/Example/etc/cache.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <config> <placeholders> <fido_example> <block>fido_example/view</block> <name>example</name> <placeholder>CACHE_TEST</placeholder> <container>Fido_Example_Model_Container_Cachetest</container> <cache_lifetime>86400</cache_lifetime> </fido_example> </placeholders> </config> app/code/local/Fido/Example/Block/View.php <?php /** * Example View block * * @codepool Local * @category Fido * @package Fido_Example * @module Example */ class Fido_Example_Block_View extends Mage_Core_Block_Template { private $message; private $att; protected function createMessage($msg) { $this->message = $msg; } public function receiveMessage() { if($this->message != '') { return $this->message; } else { $this->createMessage('Hello World'); return $this->message; } } protected function _toHtml() { $html = parent::_toHtml(); if($this->att = $this->getMyCustom() && $this->getMyCustom() != '') { $html .= '<br />'.$this->att; } else { $now = date('m-d-Y h:i:s A'); $html .= $now; $html .= '<br />' ; } return $html; } } app/code/local/Fido/Example/Model/Container/Cachetest.php <?php class Fido_Example_Model_Container_Cachetest extends Enterprise_PageCache_Model_Container_Abstract { protected function _getCacheId() { return 'HOMEPAGE_PRODUCTS' . md5($this->_placeholder->getAttribute('cache_id') . $this->_getIdentifier()); } protected function _renderBlock() { $blockClass = $this->_placeholder->getAttribute('block'); $template = $this->_placeholder->getAttribute('template'); $block = new $blockClass; $block->setTemplate($template); return $block->toHtml(); } protected function _saveCache($data, $id, $tags = array(), $lifetime = null) { return false; } } app/design/frontend/enterprise/[mytheme]/template/example/view.phtml <?php /** * Fido view template * * @see Fido_Example_Block_View * */ ?> <div> <?php echo $this->receiveMessage(); ?> </span> </div> snippet from app/design/frontend/enterprise/[mytheme]/layout/catalog.xml <reference name="content"> <block type="catalog/product_view" name="product.info" template="catalog/product/view.phtml"> <block type="fido_example/view" name="product.info.example" as="example" template="example/view.phtml" />

  • Adding to database with multiple text boxes

    - by kira423
    What I am trying to do with this script is allow users to update a url for their websites, and since each user isn't going to have the same amount of websites is is hard for me to just add $_POST['website'] for each of these. Here is the script <?php include("config.php"); include("header.php"); include("functions.php"); if(!isset($_SESSION['username']) && !isset($_SESSION['password'])){ header("Location: pubs.php"); } $getmember = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `publishers` WHERE username = '".$_SESSION['username']."'"); $info = mysql_fetch_array($getmember); $getsites = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `websites` WHERE publisher = '".$info['username']."'"); $postback = $_POST['website']; $webname = $_POST['webid']; if($_POST['submit']){ var_dump( $_POST['website'] ); $update = mysql_query("UPDATE `websites` SET `postback` = '$postback' WHERE name = '$webname'"); } print" <div id='center'> <span id='tools_lander'><a href='export.php'>Export Campaigns</a></span> <div id='calendar_holder'> <h3>Please define a postback for each of your websites below. The following variables should be used when creating your postback.<br /> cid = Campaign ID<br /> sid = Sub ID<br /> rate = Campaign Rate<br /> status = Status of Lead. 1 means payable 2 mean reversed<br /> A sample postback URL would be <br /> http://www.example.com/postback.php?cid=#cid&sid=#sid&rate=#rate&status=#status</h3> <table class='balances' align='center'> <form method='POST' action=''>"; while($website = mysql_fetch_array($getsites)){ print" <tr> <input type ='hidden' name='webid' value='".$website['id']."' /> <td style='font-weight:bold;'>".$website['name']."'s Postback:</td> <td><input type='text' style='width:400px;' name='website[]' value='".$website['postback']."' /></td> </tr>"; } print" <td style='float:right;position:relative;left:150px;'><input type='submit' name='submit' style='font-size:15px;height:30px;width:100px;' value='Submit' /></td> </form> </table> </div>"; include("footer.php"); ?> What I am attempting to do insert the what is inputted in the text boxes to their corresponding websites, and I cannot think of any other way to do it, and this obviously does not works and returns a notice stating Array to string conversion If there is a more logical way to do this please let me know.

  • WCF using windows service

    - by Lijo
    Hi, I am creating a WCF service which is to be hosted in Windows Service. I created a console application as follows I went to management console (services.msc) and started the service. But I got the following error "The LijosWindowsService service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service" I went to the event viewer and got the following "Service cannot be started. System.InvalidOperationException: Service 'Lijo.Samples.WeatherService' has zero application (non-infrastructure) endpoints. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no service element matching the service name could be found in the configuration file, or because no endpoints were defined in the service element." Could you please let me know what is the missing link here? File name [LijosService.cs] using System.ComponentModel; using System.ServiceModel; using System.ServiceProcess; using System.Configuration; using System.Configuration.Install; namespace Lijo.Samples { [ServiceContract(Namespace = "http://Lijo.Samples")] public interface IWeather { [OperationContract] double Add(double n1, double n2); } public class WeatherService : IWeather { public double Add(double n1, double n2) { double result = n1 + n2; return result; } } public class MyWindowsService : ServiceBase { public ServiceHost serviceHost = null; public MyWindowsService() { // Windows Service name ServiceName = "LijosWindowsService"; } public static void Main() { ServiceBase.Run(new MyWindowsService()); } protected override void OnStart(string[] args) { if (serviceHost != null) { serviceHost.Close(); } serviceHost = new ServiceHost(typeof(WeatherService)); serviceHost.Open(); } protected override void OnStop() { if (serviceHost != null) { serviceHost.Close(); serviceHost = null; } } } // ProjectInstaller [RunInstaller(true)] public class ProjectInstaller : Installer { private ServiceProcessInstaller myProcess; private ServiceInstaller myService; public ProjectInstaller() { myProcess = new ServiceProcessInstaller(); myProcess.Account = ServiceAccount.LocalSystem; myService = new ServiceInstaller(); myService.ServiceName = "LijosWindowsService"; Installers.Add(myProcess); Installers.Add(myService); } } } App.config <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="Lijo.Samples.WeatherService" behaviorConfiguration="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://localhost:8000/ServiceModelSamples/LijosService"/> </baseAddresses> </host> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="Lijo.Samples.IWeather" /> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="False"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> Thanks Lijo

  • How to write a bison grammer for WDI?

    - by Rizo
    I need some help in bison grammar construction. From my another question: I'm trying to make a meta-language for writing markup code (such as xml and html) wich can be directly embedded into C/C++ code. Here is a simple sample written in this language, I call it WDI (Web Development Interface): /* * Simple wdi/html sample source code */ #include <mySite> string name = "myName"; string toCapital(string str); html { head { title { mySiteTitle; } link(rel="stylesheet", href="style.css"); } body(id="default") { // Page content wrapper div(id="wrapper", class="some_class") { h1 { "Hello, " + toCapital(name) + "!"; } // Lists post ul(id="post_list") { for(post in posts) { li { a(href=post.getID()) { post.tilte; } } } } } } } Basically it is a C source with a user-friendly interface for html. As you can see the traditional tag-based style is substituted by C-like, with blocks delimited by curly braces. I need to build an interpreter to translate this code to html and posteriorly insert it into C, so that it can be compiled. The C part stays intact. Inside the wdi source it is not necessary to use prints, every return statement will be used for output (in printf function). The program's output will be clean html code. So, for example a heading 1 tag would be transformed like this: h1 { "Hello, " + toCapital(name) + "!"; } // would become: printf("<h1>Hello, %s!</h1>", toCapital(name)); My main goal is to create an interpreter to translate wdi source to html like this: tag(attributes) {content} = <tag attributes>content</tag> Secondly, html code returned by the interpreter has to be inserted into C code with printfs. Variables and functions that occur inside wdi should also be sorted in order to use them as printf parameters (the case of toCapital(name) in sample source). Here are my flex/bison files: id [a-zA-Z_]([a-zA-Z0-9_])* number [0-9]+ string \".*\" %% {id} { yylval.string = strdup(yytext); return(ID); } {number} { yylval.number = atoi(yytext); return(NUMBER); } {string} { yylval.string = strdup(yytext); return(STRING); } "(" { return(LPAREN); } ")" { return(RPAREN); } "{" { return(LBRACE); } "}" { return(RBRACE); } "=" { return(ASSIGN); } "," { return(COMMA); } ";" { return(SEMICOLON); } \n|\r|\f { /* ignore EOL */ } [ \t]+ { /* ignore whitespace */ } . { /* return(CCODE); Find C source */ } %% %start wdi %token LPAREN RPAREN LBRACE RBRACE ASSIGN COMMA SEMICOLON CCODE QUOTE %union { int number; char *string; } %token <string> ID STRING %token <number> NUMBER %% wdi : /* empty */ | blocks ; blocks : block | blocks block ; block : head SEMICOLON | head body ; head : ID | ID attributes ; attributes : LPAREN RPAREN | LPAREN attribute_list RPAREN ; attribute_list : attribute | attribute COMMA attribute_list ; attribute : key ASSIGN value ; key : ID {$$=$1} ; value : STRING {$$=$1} /*| NUMBER*/ /*| CCODE*/ ; body : LBRACE content RBRACE ; content : /* */ | blocks | STRING SEMICOLON | NUMBER SEMICOLON | CCODE ; %% I am having difficulties on defining a proper grammar for the language, specially in splitting WDI and C code . I just started learning language processing techniques so I need some orientation. Could someone correct my code or give some examples of what is the right way to solve this problem?

  • Need help displaying a dynamic table

    - by Gideon
    I am designing a job rota planner for a company and need help displaying a dynamic table containing the staff details. I have the following tables in MySQL database: Staff, Event, and Job. The staff table holds staff details (staffed, name, address...etc), the Event table (eventide, eventName, Fromdate, Todate...etc) and the Job table holds (Jobid, Jobdate, Eventid(fk), Staffid (fk)). I need to dynamically display the available staff list from the staff table when the user selects the EVENT and the DATE (3 drop downs: date, month, and year) from a PHP form. I need to display staff members that have not been assigned work on the selected date by checking the Jobdate in the Job table. I have been at this for all day and can't get around it. I am still learning PHP and would surely appreciate any help I can get. My current code displays all staff members when an event is selected: if(isset($_POST['submit'])) { $eventId = $_POST['eventradio']; } $timePeriod = $_POST['timeperiod']; $Day = $_POST['day']; $Month = $_POST['month']; $Year = $_POST['year']; $dateValue = $Year."-".$Month."-".$Day; $selectedDate = date("Y-m-d", strtotime($dateValue)); //construct the available staff list if ($selectedDate) { $staffsql = "SELECT s.StaffId, s.LastName, s.FirstName FROM Staff s WHERE s.StaffId NOT IN (SELECT J.StaffId FROM Job J WHERE J.JobDate != ".$selectedDate.")"; $staffResult = mysql_query($staffsql) or die (mysql_error()); } if ($staffResult){ echo "<p><table cellspacing='1' cellpadding='3'>"; echo "<th colspan=6>List of Available Staff</th>"; echo "</tr><tr><th> Select</th><th>Id</th><th></th><th>Last Name </th><th></th><th>First Name </th></tr>"; while ($staffarray = mysql_fetch_array($staffResult)) { echo "<tr onMouseOver= this.bgColor = 'red' onMouseOut =this.bgColor = 'white' bgcolor= '#FFFFFF'> <td align=center><input type='checkbox' name='selectbox[]' id='selectbox[]' value=".$staffarray['StaffId']."> </td><td align=left>".$staffarray['StaffId']." </td><td>&nbsp&nbsp</td><td align=center>".$staffarray['LastName']." </td><td>&nbsp&nbsp</td><td align=center>".$staffarray['FirstName']." </td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; } else { echo "<br> The Staff list can not be displayed!"; } echo "</td></tr>"; echo "<tr><td></td>"; echo "<td align=center><input type='submit' name='Submit' value='Assign Staff'>&nbsp&nbsp"; echo "<input type='reset' value='Start Over'>"; echo "</td></tr>"; echo "</table>";
