  • NHibernate - auto generate timestamp on create and update ?

    I am trying to map an entity in NHibernate, that should have an Updated column. This should be the DateTime when the entity was last written to the database (either created or updated). I'd like NHibernate to control the update of the column, so I don't need to remember to set a property to the current time before updating. Is there a built-in feature in NHibernate, that can handle this for me ?

  • Singleton EXC_BAD_ACCESS

    Hi, so I have a class that I decleare as a singleton and in that class I have a NSMutableArray that contains some NSDictionaries with some key/value pairs in them. The trouble is it doesn't work and I dont't know why... I mean it crashes with EXC_BAD_ACCESS but i don't know where.   • php funciton problem

    Hello, i have this little script, which should ping the IPs in the host_to_ping array. This php is called with JS in the index.html. But somethin' wrong, 'coz the $rval is always 1 (which mean the host is unreachable). But i know that the first two host is alive. So i print the $res variable, and i see the message: Need to give the IP.   • Using Hadoop, are my reducers guaranteed to get all the records with the same key?

    I'm running a hadoop job (using hive actually) which is supposed to uniq lines in a lot of text file. More specifically it chooses the most recently timestamped record for each key in the reduce step. Does hadoop guarantee that every record with the same key, output by the map step, will go to a single reducer, even if there are many reducers running across a cluster? I'm worried that the mapper output might be split after the shuffle happens, in the middle of a set of records with the same key.

  • MVC Partial View Not Refreshing when using JSON data

    I have a dropdown that I'm using to refresh a div with checkboxes. I am trying to figure out why my view is not refreshing if I pass in data in JSON format. If I pass in just a regular string, the view refreshes. If I pass in JSON data, the view does not refresh. If I step through the code in the Partial view, I can see the correct number of records are being passed in, however the view doesn't get refreshed with the correct number of checkboxes. I tried to add some cache directives, it didn't work.     Hi there. what i am trying to do is to play a full screen(1024x768) animation on ipad with an fps of around 20. i have got a scene with 1800 full screen frames. till now i have tried a lot of approaches but have encountered a lot of problems. my first approach was to get the texture using the following function t = [[CCTexture2D alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageWithContentsOfFile:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"(%d)",startIndex] ofType:type]]]; give it to sprite by using setTexture method and then release the texture then create a new texture with next frame and repeat the procedure but by using this approach i only get an FPS of about 7. my second approach was to preload about 10 textures in texturecache save them in an array and give them to sprite using setTexture and on the back end i am replacing the old textures with the new texture in a thread but the problem i face is that creating new texture and adding to array takes some time and when the settexture method is called the sprite displays the old texture because the new one is not loaded yet but after some time new texture get loaded. Is there any way i can run a full screen animation on ipad at around 20 fps plesae help me out. Thanks Farhan

  • How to prevent PHP variables from being arrays?

    I think that (the title) is the problem I am having. I set up a MySQL connection, I read an XML file, and then I insert those values into a table by looping through the elements. The problem is, instead of inserting only 1 record, sometimes I insert 2 or 3 or 4. It seems to depend on the previous values I have read. I think I am reinitializing the variables, but I guess I am missing something -- hopefully something simple. Here is my code.     So... I have never had a need to do a random SELECT on a MySQL DB until this project I'm working on. After researching it seems the general populous says that using RAND() is a bad idea.     Hi all, I just started with the version 3 of the Kohana Framework. I have worked a little with the $_has_many etc. Now I have the table pages. The primary key is pageID. The table has a column called parentPageID. Now I want to make a ORM model who, when accesed like this $page->parent->find() returns the page identified by parentPageID. I have the following already: // Settings protected $_table_name = 'pages'; protected $_primary_key = 'pageID'; protected $_has_one = array( 'parent' => array( 'model' => 'page', 'foreign_key' => 'parentPageID', ), ); But that does not work, it simply returns the first page from the table. Last query says this: SELECT `pages`.* FROM `pages` ORDER BY `pages`.`pageID` ASC LIMIT 1 Does somebody know how to solve this? I know this can: $parent = $page->parent->find($page->parentPageID); but it must be and can be cleaner (I think).

    I'm using the AZROLESLib which is from the COM references "azroles 1.0 Type Library" and I am trying to create a list of the designated tasks for each role that I have currently set in my authorization manager but when I loop through the tasks for the role, I get the role name.     Let's say, we have a list/an array of positive integers x1, x2, ... , xn. We can do a join operation on this sequence, that means that we can replace two elements that are next to each other with one element, which is sum of these elements. For example: - array/list: [1;2;3;4;5;6] we can join 2 and 3, and replace them with 5; we can join 5 and 6, and replace them with 11; we cannot join 2 and 4; we cannot join 1 and 3 etc. Main problem is to find minimum join operations for given sequence, after which this sequence will be sorted in increasing order. Note: empty and one-element sequences are sorted in increasing order. Basic examples: for [4; 6; 5; 3; 9] solution is 1 (we join 5 and 3) for [1; 3; 6; 5] solution is also 1 (we join 6 and 5) What I am looking for, is an algorithm that solve this problem. It could be in pseudocode, C, C++, PHP, OCaml or similar (I mean: I woluld understand solution, if You wrote solution in one of these languages). I would appreciate Your help.

    This is my grid of nodes: I'm moving an object around on it using the A* pathfinding algorithm. It generally works OK, but it sometimes acts wrongly: When moving from 3 to 1, it correctly goes via 2. When going from 1 to 3 however, it goes via 4. When moving between 3 and 5, it goes via 4 in either direction instead of the shorter way via 6 What can be wrong?
