    I know that it's possible to get this information - Intel's own TurboBoost sidebar gadget appears to use an ActiveX control to determine the current clock speed of an i3/i5/i7 CPU when TurboBoost is active. However, I'm wanting to do this programmatically in C# - obtaining the CurrentClockSpeed value from WMI tops out at the set maximum clock speed of the CPU, so in TurboBoost mode, it doesn't report the current actual clock speed.

    Yo. I'm trying to make a simple login system in PHP and my problem is this: I don't really understand sessions. Now, when I log a user in, I run session_register("user"); but I don't really understand what I'm up to. Does that session variable contain any identifiable information, so that I for example can get it out via $_SESSION["user"] or will I have to store the username in a separate variable? Thanks.

    Most of the sites capture the date (e.g. birth date) information as either a single entity (i.e via a calendar control) or instead as separate fields (date, month, year). Are there any benefits in showing them as separate fields? Are they represented in the database as DATE data type or as separate fields. I am just trying to understand the pros & cons of representing the date field.

    After adding Print Document, Dialog, and Button to my Forms app i now have UriFormatException and A first chance exception of type 'System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception' occurred in System.Drawing.dll Additional information: Access is denied Is there something wrong with the strings in my Document? Preview looks fine. but unhandled exception's when it tries to print.

    I have a Facebook Application with an iframe based canvas that contains a like button (also iframe), in the head of my iframe i've specified the standard meta tags (og:title, og:url, og:site_name) and they seem to work fine (the information is displayed correctly in the profile wall) except for the title. I've tested various links of the app with the Facebook URL Linter and the ug:title tag is ignored completly. Have any of you had any trouble with the open graph tags inside facebook applications? Any ideeas are apreciated, thanks.

I'd be happy to use OAuth, possibly with a 'Sign in with Twitter' button, but this then takes the user to a page which requests authorization for the application, that I wish to avoid.     I'm making a crash reporter, and I can read the crash reporter files just fine within ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter. However, I want to also send along with the report any console (NSLog) information that was printed to the console (the stuff that one can see both in Xcode and in Console.app). However, I want to make sure I get only the logs for my app. I don't want logs from other apps. How does one get the console logs for a specific app?

When the higher level transaction rolls back it removes my insert. Is there anyway I can commit my insert and prevent the higher level rollback from removing my insert? Thanks
