  • Trying to get excel 2003 into already made windows form

    good afternoon everyone :) I got sucha dilemma! (hate being new at stuff!) What my problem is is that I have a project that is in full design mode swing right now. I built it using the Windows form.. Anyways, on one of my forms..that I already started building (very painstakingly).. Minds have changed and now what needs to be on that form is either a full excel 2003 workbook..or at the very least..excel worksheet. The problem is that I have not been using studio 2008 for long..and coding experience shows the same. Can someone please tell me how the heck I can put a worksheet or a workbook on that form without starting my whole project over using office forms? Please..go slow with this newbie cuz i really dont know anything and Jargon is confusing me even more :( thanxxXXX :)

    I'm new to JavaScript so I have no idea why this code does not work and validate my HTML5 Form like it should. The JavaScript code which can be found below is supposed to check if the browser supports the required attribute and if it doesn't then it will validate the form and check for any empty spaces. I got the code from this website.   • CakePHP Form Helper - Show error class, but not error message

    I'm attempting to customize the error output on the CakePHP 2.0 form helper. Currently, the form renders error messages below the input and applies an 'error' class to the input's label. I have found that I can either disable error reporting altogether for an input, or output the error class and message. I would like the error class to be applied to the label of the offending inputs WITHOUT any message below. How do you turn off the error message outputting for a form, BUT still apply error classes to offending labels?

  • Analog of Java Form Layout in Qt

    Once I have programmed GUI with Java and have used Form Layouts. Form layout (if I am not mistaken that is from SWT library) made possible to give right, left, top and bottom adges of any GUI element (widget) with respect to other widgets in the same widget (parent widget) or with respect to the adges of parent widget. So it was possible to control the future of widgets that are inside of another one, when that "another widget" is being resized. In Qt I have find the QFormLayout which is similar to Java one, but seems I can't handle with widgets as flexible in terms of relative positioning, as it was with Java's Form Layout. So are there any other means to give a widget position with respect to the others (without overloading resizeEvent function) as that was in Java? Thanks.

  • Using non-Railsy route to prepopulate a form

    I have many instances of a Rails model, Post. When viewing an individual post, I'd like to create a form to create a child of Post called Comment. I'd like to prepopulate this form with a hidden tag that contains the post_id which is the foreign key in Comment. The Railsy way to do this is to create a fancy-ish route such as: /comments/new/post/:post_id However, this gunks up the routes file and doesn't leave much flexibility. Let's say I want to create a link somewhere else that prepopulates a different attribute of the form...then I'd have to add another route for this. So I think I'm going to create urls like this on /posts/show/:id: /comments/new?comment[post_id]=<%= @post.id %> This way I can add any other attributes as I need. I know the plus side associated with this, now what are the downsides?

  • Changing the way widgets are rendered/displayed in a form on the template

    I have a form with a few other embedded forms and some various widgets. The widgets are all saved in an array $form['elements'] and for some of them, I want to display labels and things, but for others I only want to display the basic rendering. foreach($form['elements'] as $elem) echo $elem->render(); this displays everything about the widget. The way it is right now, I couldn't for example call $elem['..'] because the different subforms appear in a random order and have different variable names. I assume I could still put some checks in the template, but it seems easier to fix this in the widget class, like override one of the render functions or something. How would I go about doing this or do you have any links that could help me understand how do do this? on a side note, one of my widgets is the sfWidgetFormChoice and I have no clue where it actually renders or how renderer_classes work

    Hi I have a Windows Form application. I have a Textbox. I want to implement a functionality like when the user clicks on the textbox, a list should be made available to the user and then the item selected from the list should be filled in the textbox. The list should not be available if some other control is focussed other than the textbox. What would be the better way to do this? Should I implement the list in the same form as the textbox or should I use another form for the list? I want to implement a functionality like in the Tally Accounting Software.

  • Cannot submit form when disabling JSF page

    Simple submit button. <h:commandButton actionListener="#{regBean.findReg}" action="#{regBean.navigate}" value="Search" /> The form tag is displayed like so: <h:form onsubmit="this.disabled=true;busyProcess();return true;"> This is so if the submit button is pressed, the page shows a "busy" icon until request is processed. The problem is, the request is never submitted and it never reaches the backend. However, if I instead take out the "disabled" call like so: <h:form onsubmit="busyProcess();return true;"> Everything works. Any ideas?

    I am listing a couple of stuff that I want people to download for my school and remembered that some sites had directory browsing done with cool little icons displaying the file types. I wanted to do this myself and felt that the default directory browsing of apache is just too plain and IndexOptions +FancyIndexing is a bit 'old'. Any nice jQuery based Web 2.0ish stuff out there for this particular purpose. The files are .debs, .exes, .iso, .zip etc. Thanks!

  • Create / build / generate a web form that can be on my server and has modern looks and could be impl

    I have a small web site and would like to add a 'contact us' form and a 'feedback' form. i would like the forms to satisfy the following: 1- be modern looking (with beautiful css effects) 2- the form fields are validated properly and 'inline'. What I mean is once a user skips a required field or enters an email address incorrectly some kind of tooltip or icon is displayed to ask him to cerrect the error (as opposed to a message box that appears after the user clicks 'submit') 3- once the submit button is clicked the form contents are emailed to me. 4- the whole thing can be setup by a noob like myself. 5- no ads on the form I have been searching for at least 5 days for a solution but I can't seem to find anything the would satisfy the above 5 conditions. I don't mind paying for a solution as long as it is hosted on my site and it is a one off payment and not a monthly payment. So far my search has lead me to the following: 1 wufoo. The good: the generated forms seem to look okay but not the best there is. The bad: the free service is limited to 100 submissions. ads on the form. it is not hosted on my server. Paid service requires monthly payments 2- emailmeform: almost same as above except the generated form looks old. They do have an offer where you pay only $4 to get the form and set it up on your own site but that doesn't solve the fact that the forms look old. 3- formAssembly: same as above with minor variations (the generated form looks better) 4- formchamp, formthis, kontaktr,... And other similar online services: the same problem. either the form generated looks outdated or require monthly payments or they put ads...they don't satisfy my conditions. 5- coffeecup form builder. a desktop software. The problem is the generated forms look too old and use flash. 6- simfatic. Another software. Much better than coffeecup. almost satisfies my conditions but the forms not as good as I like. 7- many, many php scripts or html templates that look so outdated or fail when tested (probably because they are too old). Seriously guys, how hard is this. At least 90%+ of website contain at least a 'contact us' form. Why aren't there better solutions? if there is I can't seem to find them. In terms of looks I want something similar to this: http://web-kreation.com/articles/lightform-free-ajaxphp-contact-form/ It is called lightform. And this is a perfect example of what I mean by 'inline' validation. the only problem: there is no script to handle sending the mail. Even if I find one, I don't know how to modify it for my needs. So could you please help me out. I really can't search anymore. I reached rock bottom with this issue. I need a complete solution. If nothing exists then at least a: 1- form template (html) that looks nice and can easily be modified 2- a validation script that does 'inline' validation like the example above (or similar to it) and can be easily implemented by a noob like me to work with the html form. 3- a php script that will handle sending the email and can be easily implemented (all three working in harmony). I hope there is a complete solution but am I asking for too much? Pretty please...help...

  • How do I correctly Re-render a Recaptcha in ASP.NET MVC 2 after an AJAX POST

    Ok... I've downloaded and implemented this Recaptcha implementation for MVC which uses the ModelState to confirm the validity of the captcha control. It works brilliantly... except when I start to use it in an AJAX Form. In a nutshell, when a div is re-rendered with AJAX, the ReCaptcha that it should contain does not appear, even though the relevant <scripts> are in the source after the partial render. Code Below. using (Ajax.BeginForm("CreateComment", "Blog", new AjaxOptions() { HttpMethod = "POST", UpdateTargetId = "CommentAdd", OnComplete="ReloadRecaptcha", OnSuccess = "ShowComment", OnFailure = "ShowComment", OnBegin = "HideComment" })) {%> <fieldset class="comment"> <legend>Add New Comment</legend> <%= Html.ValidationSummary()%> <table class="postdetails"> <tbody> <tr> <td rowspan="3" id="blahCaptcha"> <%= Html.CreateRecaptcha("recaptcha", "blackglass") %> </td> .... Remainder of Form Omitted for Brevity I've confirmed the Form is perfectly functional when the Recaptcha Control is not present and the Javascript calls in the AjaxOptions are all working fine. The problem is that if the ModelState is Invalid as a result of the Recaptcha or some other validation, then the ActionResult returns the View to reshow the form. I've checked the source and the <script> & <noscript> blocks are present in the HTML so the HTML Helper function below is obviously working <%= Html.CreateRecaptcha("recaptcha", "blackglass") %> I assume this has something to do with scripts injected into the DOM by AJAX are not re-executed. As you can see from the HTML snippet above, I've tried to add an OnComplete= javascript function to re-create the Captcha on the client side, but although the script executes with no errors, it doesn't work. OnComplete Function is. function ReloadRecaptcha() { Recaptcha.create("my-pub-key", 'blahCaptcha', { //blahCaptcha is the ID of the <td> where the ReCaptcha should go. theme: 'blackglass' }); } Can anyone shed any light on this ? This means that when a user sees my search-form, the defaultvalues will be set as an attribute on the input-field, and this will be the value that is shown. When a user clicks inside of the input field, the default value will be removed. When the user sees an input field at first is looks like this: <input type="text" value="" defaultvalue="From" /> This works just fine, but I have a big challenge. If a user have posted the form, and something is entered into one of the fields, then I can't show the default value in the field, if the user deletes the text from the input field. This is happening because the value of the text-field is still containing something, even when the user deletes the content. So my problem is how to show the default value when the form is submitted, and the user then removes the typed in content? When the form is submitted the input looks like this, and keeps looking like this until the form is submitted again: <input type="text" value="someValue" defaultvalue="From" /> So I need to show the default value in the input-field right after the user have deleted the content in the field, and removed the focus from the field. How can I send the selected checkbox values to my search results page?     Alright, so I only got Postfix for a PHP contact form that will send email to a single . I only want it to send out mail to a single external address ([email protected]). I have domain sub1.sub2.domain.com. I installed Postfix out of the Ubuntu repo, with minimal config changes. I cannot get Postfix to send mail externally (though it succeeds for internal accounts, which is unnecessary). The email simply defers if I generate an email using PHP mail().     I'm struggling to come up with the proper way to design a form that will allow me to input data for two different models. The form is for an 'Incident', which has the following relationships: belongs_to :customer belongs_to :user has_one :incident_status has_many :incident_notes accepts_nested_attributes_for :incident_notes, :allow_destroy => false So an incident is assigned to a 'Customer' and a 'User', and the user is able to add 'Notes' to the incident. I'm having trouble with the notes part of the form.
