    I want to develop a website in OOP pattern, but I am stuck in a point whether I need to inherit from multiple classes. For example I have a main class "index" this class has several methods which need to inherited from other classes and I have created seperate classes for it like class "banner", class "content", class "footer" Not only this but class "content" has several methods to be inherited from other classes like class "gallery", class "news", etc I found out that multiple inheritance is not allowed, and using interface I cannot write codes in its methods, so how can i achieve a solution for this problem.

    to read a child node content i use : MYDATA = xhr.responseXML.getElementsByTagName("MenuItem") [INDEX].getElementsByTagName("PageContent")[0].childNodes[0].nodeValue; sometimes when the childnode data contains an HTML tag (eg b or br tags, because they have the <), i have problems since they are counted like xml tags (like childnodes). my question is how to get the entire data from a child node even if it contains other html tags exp : MenuItem MenuText menu b text b MenuText MenuItem would return "menu" !!! but i want it to return :"menu text" thank you guys, and happy new year

  • What is the fastest / best Base64 en/decoder for Java ?

    Just found the MIG Base 64 utility but its over 6 years old since its last release. It would appear to be quicker than the Apache commons equivalent but I have yet to confirm by writing up an actual test. Has anyone verified its correctness which is always a worry. If someone takes a look at the methods, please note i a referring to the non fast methods which make assumptions trading possible correctness for pure speed.

    What could happen if my template looks for variables which weren't assigned? For example: var uwfs_id = '{$tpl_uwfs_id}'; This snippet is from my javascript code. I outputted the value and it is simply empty. I know I could use isset(). But I couldn't find anything about how Smarty handles non-existing variables. So, what happens if template can't find a variable, because it wasn't assigned?

    Given two sorted lists, each containing n real numbers, is there a O(log?n) time algorithm to compute the element of rank i (where i coresponds to index in increasing order) in the union of the two lists, assuming the elements of the two lists are distinct? I can think of using a Merge procedure to merge the 2 lists and then find the A[i] element in constant time. But the Merge would take O(n) time. How do we solve it in O(log n) time?

  • c++ recursion with arrays

    I have this project that I'm working on for a class, and I'm not looking for the answer, but maybe just a few tips since I don't feel like I'm using true recursion. The problem involves solving the game of Hi Q or "peg solitaire" where you want the end result to be one peg remaining (it's played with a triangular board and one space is open at the start.) I've represented the board with a simple array, each index being a spot and having a value of 1 if it has a peg, and 0 if it doesn't and also the set of valid moves with a 2 dimensional array that is 36, 3 (each move set contains 3 numbers; the peg you're moving, the peg it hops over, and the destination index.) So my problem is that in my recursive function, I'm using a lot of iteration to determine things like which space is open (or has a value of 0) and which move to use based on which space is open by looping through the arrays. Secondly, I don't understand how you would then backtrack with recursion, in the event that an incorrect move was made and you wanted to take that move back in order to choose a different one. This is what I have so far; the "a" array represents the board, the "b" array represents the moves, and the "c" array was my idea of a reminder as to which moves I used already.     I essentially want to reconstruct the getTickCount() windows function so I can use it in basic C++ without any non standard libraries or even the STL. (So it complies with the libraries supplied with the Android NDK) I have looked at clock() localtime time But I'm still unsure whether it is possible to replicate the getTickCount windows function with the time library.
