  • Using FFMPEG to reliably convert videos to mp4 for iphone/ipod and flash players

    - by Jake Stevenson
    I need to convert videos for use in both a flash player and the iphone/ipod touch. I'm using the following batch script with ffmpeg: @echo off ffmpeg.exe -i %1 -s qvga -acodec libfaac -ar 22050 -ab 128k -vcodec libx264 -threads 0 -f ipod %2 This always outputs an mp4 file, and I can always play it on my PC. The videos also seem to play fine on my iphone 3GS. But with some input files it won't work for older iphone versions (3G and iPod touch). Here's the ffmpeg output from one such file: D:\ffmpeg>encode.bat d:\temp\recording.flv d:\temp\out.m4v FFmpeg version SVN-r18709, Copyright (c) 2000-2009 Fabrice Bellard, et al. configuration: --enable-memalign-hack --prefix=/mingw --cross-prefix=i686-ming w32- --cc=ccache-i686-mingw32-gcc --target-os=mingw32 --arch=i686 --cpu=i686 --e nable-avisynth --enable-gpl --enable-zlib --enable-bzlib --enable-libgsm --enabl e-libfaac --enable-libfaad --enable-pthreads --enable-libvorbis --enable-libtheo ra --enable-libspeex --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libxvid - -enable-libschroedinger --enable-libx264 libavutil 50. 3. 0 / 50. 3. 0 libavcodec 52.27. 0 / 52.27. 0 libavformat 52.32. 0 / 52.32. 0 libavdevice 52. 2. 0 / 52. 2. 0 libswscale 0. 7. 1 / 0. 7. 1 built on Apr 28 2009 04:04:42, gcc: 4.2.4 [flv @ 0x187d650]skipping flv packet: type 18, size 164, flags 0 Input #0, flv, from 'd:\temp\recording.flv': Duration: 00:00:07.17, start: 0.001000, bitrate: N/A Stream #0.0: Video: flv, yuv420p, 320x240, 1k tbr, 1k tbn, 1k tbc Stream #0.1: Audio: nellymoser, 44100 Hz, mono, s16 [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]using cpu capabilities: MMX2 SSE2Fast SSSE3 FastShuffle SSE 4.2 [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]profile Baseline, level 4.2 Output #0, ipod, to 'd:\temp\out.m4v': Stream #0.0: Video: libx264, yuv420p, 320x240, q=2-31, 200 kb/s, 1k tbn, 1k tbc Stream #0.1: Audio: libfaac, 22050 Hz, mono, s16, 128 kb/s Stream mapping: Stream #0.0 -> #0.0 Stream #0.1 -> #0.1 Press [q] to stop encoding frame= 90 fps= 0 q=-1.0 Lsize= 128kB time=6.87 bitrate= 152.4kbits/s video:92kB audio:32kB global headers:1kB muxing overhead 2.620892% [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]slice I:8 Avg QP:29.62 size: 7047 [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]slice P:82 Avg QP:30.83 size: 467 [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]mb I I16..4: 17.9% 0.0% 82.1% [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]mb P I16..4: 0.6% 0.0% 0.0% P16..4: 23.1% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% skip:76.3% [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]final ratefactor: 57.50 [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]SSIM Mean Y:0.9544735 [libx264 @ 0x13518b0]kb/s:8412.6 My suspicion is that it has something to do with the audio encoding.   • ReportBuilder.application fails on my PC - but works on localhost

    - by JayTee
    We're running SQL 2005 on Win2K3 server and are using SSRS. Here's the situation: I can run Report Builder from localhost My coworker can run Report Builder on his Vista computer Another coworker can run Report Builder on his XP SP3 computer (IE7) I can NOT run Report Builder on my XP SP3 computer (IE7) I'm told that it could be anything from an errant registry entry to a group policy problem. Here is what I've tried: Put the site into "Trusted Sites" with "low" security re-install .NET create a new local user account and attempt to run it The results? Every single time, I get a dialog box: "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor" I click the details button and get this: PLATFORM VERSION INFO Windows : 5.1.2600.196608 (Win32NT) Common Language Runtime : 2.0.50727.3607 System.Deployment.dll : 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) mscorwks.dll : 2.0.50727.3607 (GDR.050727-3600) dfdll.dll : 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) dfshim.dll : 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) SOURCES Deployment url : http://www.example.com/ReportServer/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder.application Server : Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By : ASP.NET X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727 IDENTITIES Deployment Identity : ReportBuilder.application, Version=9.0.3042.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c3bce3770c238a49, processorArchitecture=msil APPLICATION SUMMARY * Online only application. * Trust url parameter is set. • Dojo JsonRest store and dijit.Tree

    - by user1427712
    I'm having a some problem making JSonRest store and dijit.Tree with ForestModel. I've tried some combination of JsonRestStore and json data format following many tips on the web, with no success. At the end, taking example form here http://blog.respondify.se/2011/09/using-dijit-tree-with-the-new-dojo-object-store/ I've made up this simple page (I'm using dojotolkit 1.7.2) <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <title>Tree Model Explorer</title> <script type="text/javascript"> djConfig = { parseOnLoad : true, isDebug : true, } </script> <script type="text/javascript" djConfig="parseOnLoad: true" src="lib/dojo/dojo.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> dojo.require("dojo.parser"); dojo.require("dijit.Tree"); dojo.require("dojo.store.JsonRest"); dojo.require("dojo.data.ObjectStore"); dojo.require("dijit.tree.ForestStoreModel"); dojo.addOnLoad(function() { var objectStore = new dojo.store.JsonRest({ target : "test.json", labelAttribute : "name", idAttribute: "id" }); var dataStore = new dojo.data.ObjectStore({ objectStore : objectStore }); var treeModel = new dijit.tree.ForestStoreModel({ store : dataStore, deferItemLoadingUntilExpand : true, rootLabel : "Subjects", query : { "id" : "*" }, childrenAttrs : [ "children" ] }); var tree = new dijit.Tree({ model : treeModel }, 'treeNode'); tree.startup(); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="treeNode"></div> </body> </html> My rest service responds the following json { data: [ { "id": "PippoId", "name": "Pippo", "children": [] }, { "id": "PlutoId", "name": "Pluto", "children": [] }, { "id": "PaperinoId", "name": "Paperino", "children": [] } ]} I've tried also with the following response (actually my final intention n is to use lazy loading for the tree) { data: [ { "id": "PippoId", "name": "Pippo", "$ref": "author0", "children": true }, { "id": "PlutoId", "name": "Pluto", "$ref": "author1", "children": true }, { "id": "PaperinoId", "name": "Paperino", "$ref": "author2", "children": true } ]} Neither of the two works. I see no error message in firebug. I simply see the root "Subject" on the page. Thanks to anybody could help in some way.

  • Import problem with PyCrypto in Jython

    - by Arg
    Hello, I am currently trying to get python bittorrent tracker running inside of jython and i encountered this problem: the tracker uses PyCrypto library which i compiled for my platform and added into the python path. When i try to run code, however, i get following error: Exception in thread "MainThread" Traceback (most recent call last): File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/bittorrent-tracker.py", line 21, in <module> from BitTorrent.track import track File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/BitTorrent/track.py", line 50, in <module> from BitTorrent.UI import Size File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/BitTorrent/UI.py", line 37, in <module> from BitTorrent.MultiTorrent import UnknownInfohash, TorrentAlreadyInQueue, TorrentAlreadyRunning, TorrentNotRunning File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/BitTorrent/MultiTorrent.py", line 25, in <module> from BitTorrent.Torrent import Feedback, Torrent File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/BitTorrent/Torrent.py", line 32, in <module> from BitTorrent.ConnectionManager import ConnectionManager File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/BitTorrent/ConnectionManager.py", line 22, in <module> from BitTorrent.Connector import Connector File "./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/BitTorrent/Connector.py", line 27, in <module> from Crypto.Cipher import ARC4 ImportError: cannot import name ARC4 Java Result: 1 I am pretty sure that the library is in the python path, because command import Crypto.Cipher works, while from Crypto.Cipher import ARC4 does not. The java code i run looks like this: package jythTest; import org.python.util.PythonInterpreter; public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) { PythonInterpreter pythonInterpreter = new PythonInterpreter(); pythonInterpreter.exec("import sys"); pythonInterpreter.exec("sys.path.append(\"./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/\")"); pythonInterpreter.exec("sys.path.append(\"./python_dep/Twisted-10.0.0/\")"); pythonInterpreter.exec("sys.path.append(\"./python_dep/Zope-3.4.0/build/lib.linux-i686-2.6\")"); pythonInterpreter.exec("sys.path.append(\"./python_dep\")"); pythonInterpreter.exec("sys.path.append(\"./python_dep/pycrypto-2.0.1/build/lib.linux-i686-2.6\")"); pythonInterpreter.exec("sys.path.append(\"import Crypto.Cipher\")"); //pythonInterpreter.exec("print sys.path"); pythonInterpreter.execfile("./python_dep/BitTorrent-5.2.2/bittorrent-tracker.py"); } } Thanks in advance to anyone who could provide any kind of help.

  • Android: manifest targetSdkVersion change resulted in: icon not visible, widget no longer works, and

    - by Casey
    I recently upgraded my Android app to support multiple resolutions. Previously, my Android.manifest file had a line: To support multiple density and resolution devices, I changed this to: <supports-screens android:smallScreens="false" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" /> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> I then added a couple of new directories, like drawable-hdpi-v4 and drawable-long-hdpi-v4 that includes the high-res versions of the graphics. That's about it. Ever since releasing this update, there have been a decent number of users complaining about various problems: - the app icon doesn't appear (I did not create a high res version of the icon) - the home screen widget no longer works, even if they delete and re-add it (this code did not change with the update). I've had a user send me their error log, which shows: 03-19 20:59:41.617 W/ActivityManager( 1854): Unable to launch app com.alt12.babybump/10078 for broadcast Intent { action=android.appwidget.action.APPWIDGET_UPDATE flags=0x4 comp={com.alt12.babybump/com.alt12.babybump.WidgetGirl} (has extras) }: process is bad There is one questionable section in my existing widget code that may be relevant: @Override public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { // v1.5 fix that doesn't call onDelete Action final String action = intent.getAction(); if (AppWidgetManager.ACTION_APPWIDGET_DELETED.equals(action)) { final int appWidgetId = intent.getExtras().getInt( AppWidgetManager.EXTRA_APPWIDGET_ID, AppWidgetManager.INVALID_APPWIDGET_ID); if (appWidgetId != AppWidgetManager.INVALID_APPWIDGET_ID) { this.onDeleted(context, new int[] { appWidgetId }); } } else { super.onReceive(context, intent); } } And perhaps most troublesome: the sqlite database is no longer accessible/writeable for some users so their data is no longer available. I did add the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission to the manifest. This is only happening to certain users and it tends to be HTC Eris users. In that error log I see things such as: 03-19 16:00:56.173 E/FlurryAgent( 4791): java.io.FileNotFoundException: /data/data/com.alt12.babybump/files/.flurryagent.-2333f5cb 03-19 16:00:56.173 E/FlurryAgent( 4791): at org.apache.harmony.luni.platform.OSFileSystem.open(OSFileSystem.java:231) 03-19 16:01:09.393 E/Database( 4791): sqlite3_open_v2("/data/data/com.alt12.babybump/databases/uitematmamad.db", &handle, 6, NULL) failed 03-19 16:01:09.393 W/System.err( 4791): android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: unable to open database file It's as if the update has caused a new process and it can't access the old process's data, or something. Any help appreciated!

  • Flash AS3 blur or liquify part of an image with mouse

    - by hamlet
    Hi, I am very beginner in flash. I want to load an image, show a cursor over the image and on mousedown I want to blur that actual part of the image. (e.g you can blur your face on the image and then save the new image). I can delete parts of the image with white line, but I would like to blur it instead // LIVE JPEG ENCODER 0.3 // from bytearray.org import asfiles.encoding.JPEGEncoder; import flash.external.ExternalInterface; ExternalInterface.addCallback("flash_saveImage", inflash_saveImage); var loader:Loader = new Loader(); loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, handleComplete); loader.load(new URLRequest(loaderInfo.parameters._filename)); //loader.load(new URLRequest("b.jpg")); var container_mc:MovieClip = new MovieClip;//create movieclip function handleComplete(e:Event):void { addChild(container_mc); var bitmapData:BitmapData = Bitmap(e.target.content).bitmapData; var matrix:Matrix = new Matrix(); container_mc.graphics.clear(); container_mc.graphics.beginBitmapFill(bitmapData, matrix, false); //container_mc.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF,0); container_mc.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, bitmapData.width, bitmapData.height); container_mc.graphics.endFill(); swapChildren(container_mc, pencil); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, startDrawing); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stopDrawing); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, makeLine); } stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, moveCursor); Mouse.hide(); function moveCursor(event:MouseEvent):void { pencil.x = event.stageX; pencil.y = event.stageY; } function startDrawing(event:MouseEvent):void{ container_mc.graphics.lineStyle(20, 0xFFFFFF, 1); container_mc.graphics.moveTo(mouseX, mouseY); container_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, makeLine); } function stopDrawing(event:MouseEvent):void{ container_mc.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, makeLine); } function makeLine(event:MouseEvent):void{ container_mc.graphics.lineTo(mouseX, mouseY); } function inflash_saveImage ( ):void { var myURLLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); var myBitmapSource:BitmapData = new BitmapData ( container_mc.width, container_mc.height ); // render the player as a bitmapdata myBitmapSource.draw ( container_mc ); // create the encoder with the appropriate quality var myEncoder:JPEGEncoder = new JPEGEncoder( 80 ); // generate a JPG binary stream to have a preview var myCapStream:ByteArray = myEncoder.encode ( myBitmapSource ); var header:URLRequestHeader = new URLRequestHeader ("Content-type", "application/octet-stream"); var myRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest ( "save.php" ); myRequest.requestHeaders.push (header); myRequest.method = URLRequestMethod.POST; myRequest.data = myCapStream; myURLLoader.load ( myRequest ); } Thanks, hamlet

Any thoughts? I have re installed glassfish and NetBeans but it all seems the same. I think this started happening after I had to force-restart my computer with NetBeans stil open and the app deployed, but it's hard to know for sure if this was the real catalyst. Any thoughts or help is appreciated thanks. Is it an app error? if so why no errors in the log are shown?

  • How does this ajax call persist DOM changes in the browser cache?

    - by Greg
    For the purpose of the question I need to create a simple fictitious scenario. I have the following trivial page with one link, call it page A: <a class="red-anchor" onclick="change_color(event);" href="http://mysite.com/b/">B</a> With the associated Javascript function: function change_color(e) { var event = e || window.event; var link = event.target; link.className = "green-anchor"; } And I have the appropriate CSS to make the anchor red or green based on the classname. This is working. That is, when I click the anchor it changes color from red to green, which is briefly visible before the browser loads page B. But if I then use the BACK button to return to page A I get different behavior in different browsers. In Safari, the anchor is still green (desired behavior) In Firefox it reverts to red I imagine that Safari is somehow updating its cached version of the page, whereas Firefox isn't. So my first question is: is there any way to get FF to update the cached page, or is something else happening here? Secondly: I have a different implementation where I use an ajax call. In this I set the class of the anchor using a session variable, something like... <a class="<?php echo $_SESSION["color"]; ?>" ...[snip]... >B</a> And the javascript function makes an additional ajax call that changes the "color" session variable. In this case both Safari and Firefox work as expected. When going back from B to A the color is still green. But I can't for the life of me figure out why it should be different to the non-ajax case. I have tried many different permutations and for it to work on FF the "color" session variable MUST change (i.e. the ajax call itself is not somehow reloading the cache). But on coming BACK, the page is being reloaded from the cache (verified in Firebug), so how is the page even accessing this session variable if it isn't reprocessing the page and running that fragment of php in the anchor? I figure there must be something fundamental here that I am not understanding. Any insight would be much appreciated.

  • Python Ctypes Read/WriteProcessMemory() - Error 5/998 Help!

    - by user299805
    Please don't get scared but the following code, if you are familiar with ctypes or C it should be easy to read. I have been trying to get my ReadProcessMemory() and WriteProcessMemory() functions to be working for so long and have tried almost every possibility but the right one. It launches the target program, returns its PID and handle just fine. But I always get a error code of 5 - ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED. When I run the read function(forget the write for now). I am launching this program as what I believe to be a CHILD process with PROCESS_ALL_ACCESS or CREATE_PRESERVE_CODE_AUTHZ_LEVEL. I have also tried PROCESS_ALL_ACCESS and PROCESS_VM_READ when I open the handle. I can also say that it is a valid memory location because I can find it on the running program with CheatEngine. As for VirtualQuery() I get an error code of 998 - ERROR_NOACCESS which further confirms my suspicion of it being some security/privilege problem. • Reliable way of generating unique hardware ID

    - by mr.b
    Question: what's the best way to accomplish following. I have to come up with unique ID for each networked client, such that: it (ID) should persist once client software is installed on target computer, and should continue to persist if software is re-installed on same computer and same OS installment, it should not change if hardware configuration is modified in most ways (except changing the motherboard) When hard drive with client software installed is cloned to another computer with identical hardware configuration (or, as similar as possible), client software should be aware of that change. A little bit of explanation and some back-story: This question is basically age old question that also touches topic of software copy-protection, as some of mechanisms used in that area are mentioned here. I should be clear at this point that I'm not looking for a copy-protection scheme. Please, read on. :) I'm working on a client-server software that is supposed to work in local network. One of problems I have to solve is to identify each unique client in network (not so much of a problem), so that I can apply certain attributes to every specific client, retain and enforce those attributes during deployment lifetime of a specific client. While I was looking for a solution, I was aware of following: Windows activation system uses some kind of heavy fingerprinting mechanism, that is extremely sensitive to hardware modifications, Disk imaging software copies along all Volume IDs (tied to each partition when formatted), and custom, uniquely generated IDs during installation process, during first run, or in any other way, that is strictly software in its nature, and stored in registry or on hard drive, so it's very easy to confuse two Obvious choice for this kind of problem would be to find out BIOS identifiers (not 100% sure if this is unique through identical motherboard models, though), as that's the only thing I can rely on, that isn't duplicated, transferred by cloning, and that can't be changed (at least not by using some user-space program). Everything else fails as either being not reliable (MAC cloning, anyone?), or too demanding (in terms that it's too sensitive to configuration changes). Am I missing something obvious here? Sub-question that I'd like to ask is, am I doing it correctly, architecture-wise? Perhaps there is a better tool for task that I have to accomplish... Another approach I had in mind is something similar to handshake mechanism, where server maintains internal lookup table of connected client IDs (which can be even completely software-based and non-unique at any given moment), and tells client to come up with different ID during handshake, if duplicate ID is provided upon connection. That approach, unfortunately, doesn't play nicely with one of requirements to tie attributes to specific client during lifetime.

  • activeX component in axapta

    - by Nico
    hi folks, i'm struggling with an .net activeX i try to use in ms axapta 2009. using this component on my local machine where it was compiled, it's working quite fine. it can be added as activeX element on a form, the methods and events are listed in the axapta-activeX-explorer and i can interact with it without any problems. but trying to distribute the dll to other clients isn't working as intended. the registration of the dll via regasm /codebase /tlb works properly - getting the message, registration was successful. the component is also listed when selecting an activeX-element to add in ax, but neither functions nor properties are listed. and launching the form results in an errormessage - activeX component CLSID ... not found on system, not installed. the classID is indeed the one, defined in .net. strange things happen, having a look on the task-manager. the activeX-component itself is just a wrapper to interact with a com-application. when launching the ax-form with the not working and _not_installed_!! activeX-thing, the taskmanager shows a new process of the com-application, which is instanciated by the activeX :/ things i tried: using different versions of regasm, eg \Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 ; C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727 using new GUIDs in .net, prior removing the old ones from the registry compiling, using different versions of the .net framework doing registration via regasm, regasm /codebase, regasm /codebase /tlb, using a visual-studio-setup running registration via command-line as administrator running setup as administrator running even ax as administrator on client-machine moving dll to a different folder followed by new registration ( windows/system32; ax/client/bin ) installing to GAC ( gacutil /i ) different project-options in visual studio ( COM-Visibility; register for COM-Interop; different targetPlatform ) hoped for the fact, that compiling in visual studio with register for COM-Interop option enabled does something more than just the regasm-registration, i used a registry-monitor-microsoft-tool for logging the registry-activity which happend during compilation. using these logs to create all registry-entries on the target-client in addition didn't work either. any hints or help would be so much appreciated! this thing is blocking me for days now :(

  • Exception when deploying a JSR 286 portlet into WebLogic+WebCenter 11g

    - by Rambaldi
    I get the following exception when deploying a JSR 286 portlet into Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (to deploy it later in Oracle WebCenter 11g): <19-ene-2010 13H32' CET> <Error> <oracle.portlet.server.containerimpl.PortletApplicationImpl> <BEA-000000> <Error al procesar el archivo "/WEB-INF/portlet.xml" en la lÝnea 6 columna 68. org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'portlet-app' The error message is in spanish. It means: "Error processing the file "/WEB-INF/portlet.xml at line 6 column 68" The portlet.xml of my portlet seems to be correct and I've deployed it in other portal servers. • Managed (.net) library with html-tidy like functionality?

    - by Eamon Nerbonne
    Does anybody know of an html cleaner for .NET that can parse html and (for instance) convert it to a more machine friendly format such as xhtml? I've tried the HTML Agility Pack, but that fails to correctly parse even fairly simple examples. To give an example of html that should be parsed correctly: <html><body> <ul><li>TestElem1 <li>TestElem2 <li>TestElem3 List: <ul><li>Nested1 <li>Nested2</li> <li>Nested3 </ul> <li>TestElem4 </ul> <p>paragraph 1 <p>paragraph 2 <p>paragraph 3 </body></html> li tags don't need to be closed (see spec), and neither do P tags. In other words, the above sample should be parsed as: <html><body> <ul><li>TestElem1</li> <li>TestElem2</li> <li>TestElem3 List: <ul><li>Nested1</li> <li>Nested2</li> <li>Nested3</li> </ul></li> <li>TestElem4</li> </ul> <p>paragraph 1</p> <p>paragraph 2</p> <p>paragraph 3</p> </body></html> Since the aim is to use the library on various machines, it's a big disadvantage to need to fall back to native code (such as a wrapper around html tidy) which would require extra deployment hassle and sacrifice platform independance. Any suggestions? To recap, I'm looking for: An html cleaner ala HTML tidy Must be able to deal with real world html, not just xhtml, at the very least correctly reading valid html 4 Must be able to convert to a more easily processable xml format Should be a purely managed app.

  • iPhone Key-Value Observer: observer not registering in UITableViewController

    - by Scott
    Hi Fellow iPhone Developers, I am an experienced software engineer but new to the iPhone platform. I have successfully implemented sub-classed view controllers and can push and pop parent/child views on the view controller stack. However, I have struck trouble while trying to update a view controller when an object is edited in a child view controller. After much failed experimentation, I discovered the key-value observer API which looked like the perfect way to do this. I then registered an observer in my main/parent view controller, and in the observer I intend to reload the view. The idea is that when the object is edited in the child view controller, this will be fired. However, I think that the observer is not being registered, because I know that the value is being updated in the editing view controller (I can see it in the debugger), but the observing method is never being called. Please help! Code snippets follow below. Object being observed. I believe that this is key-value compliant as the value is set when called with the setvalue message (see Child View Controller below). X.h: @interface X : NSObject <NSCoding> { NSString *name; ... @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString *name; X.m: @implementation X @synthesize name; ... Main View Controller.h: @class X; @interface XViewController : UITableViewController { X *x; ... Main View Controller.m: @implementation XViewController @synthesize x; ... - (void)viewDidLoad { ... [self.x addObserver:self forKeyPath: @"name" options: (NSKeyValueObservingOptionNew | NSKeyValueObservingOptionOld) context:nil]; [super viewDidLoad]; } ... - (void)observeValueForKeyPath:(NSString *)keyPath ofObject:(id)object change:(NSDictionary *)change context:(void *)context { if ([keyPath isEqual:@"name"]) { NSLog(@"Found change to X"); [self.tableView reloadData]; } [super observeValueForKeyPath:keyPath ofObject:object change:change context:context]; } Child View Controller.m: (this correctly sets the value in the object in the child view controller) [self.x setValue:[[tempValues objectForKey:key] text] forKey:@"name"];

  • Android stream to Wowza

    - by Curtis Kiu
    I feel very confused about Android streaming to wowza. I am doing a video conference using rtmp cross-platform, but Android doesn't eat RTMP. Therefore I need to find another way to do it. Upstreaming I found a new open-source app called spydroid-ipcamera. It is using rtp, sending udp packets to computer, and opens it in vlc using the following sdp v=0 s=Unnamed m=video 5006 RTP/AVP 96 a=rtpmap:96 H264/90000 a=fmtp:96 packetization-mode=1;profile-level-id=420016;sprop-parameter-sets=Z0IAFukBQHsg,aM4BDyA=; But it can't work. Then I follow wowza tutorial and stream to it and then play again in VLC. That works! I wrote it in http://code.google.com/p/spydroid-ipcamera/issues/detail?id=2 However when I want to add audio in the packet, it fails to work. I change to code in http://code.google.com/p/spydroid-ipcamera/source/browse/trunk/src/net/mkp/spydroid/CameraStreamer.java mr.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC); mr.setVideoSource(MediaRecorder.VideoSource.CAMERA); mr.setOutputFormat(MediaRecorder.OutputFormat.MPEG_4); mr.setVideoFrameRate(20); mr.setVideoSize(640, 480); mr.setAudioEncoder(MediaRecorder.AudioEncoder.AAC); mr.setVideoEncoder(MediaRecorder.VideoEncoder.H264); mr.setPreviewDisplay(holder.getSurface()); Then I thought that the problem should be in sdp, but I don't know how to due with sdp. I am streaming H.264/AAC with Mp4 Second I don't understand sdp. So how can I make video conference upstreaming part using this apps. Android ----(UDP Port:5006)----> PC (SDP file) and then Wowza read the SDP file ------> VLC I think in this way the system cannot handle more than 1 client. sdp can only hold 1 port, any idea or actually it wont' work? Also Wowza need to set the stream before we stream it, so does it mean that I should not follow this way to do it? Sorry my English is poor, I hope you guys understand.

  • Streaming Video with Blackberry Simulator

    - by Jenny
    So, I wrote a quick little app for the iphone that takes in an http URL, and plays the .mp4 video located at that URL (it does more than that, of course, but that's the meat of it). Naturally, I wanted to have it on more than just a single mobile platform, so I decided to target Blackberry next. However, I'm running into a lot of problems with the Blackberry Environment. First of all, I learn that I can only download 256k files! I learn how to set that variable in my MDS simulator (and learn that this is NOT a production solution, because any end users will have to have their BES or MDS admin change the setting there). Then, I find a video less than 2 MB I can practice with. Going to the browser prompts me to save the video (rather than it playing in the browser like I expected). After saving the video, it refuses to play, saying it's the wrong format. So. I can't find a reference to IF Blackberry can stream with HTTP (i"ve heard it CAN use RTSP, though, and heard some rumors that it can't use HTTP, which would really suck). I also can't find a reference to what format blackberry uses (although I can find a million programs that will convert one file to the 'blackberry' format). Surely SOMEONE must have tried to stream video with the blackberry before. How did they go about doing so? Is it just a hopeless pipedream? Will I have to go with RTSP? Sorry for the lack of a concrete question...I'm just really lost, and I hate how so many tutorials or forum posts seem to assume I know the capabilities of the Blackberry... Edit: I finally found out that the .3gp (which I'd never heard of ) format is what Blackberry uses. Still have no idea how to stream videos off the web, though. I found a tutorial: http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/1089414/How%5FTo%5F-%5FPlay%5Fvideo%5Fwithin%5Fa%5FBlackBerry%5Fsmartphone%5Fapplication.html?nodeid=1383173&vernum=0 That seemed to be useful, but the code doesn't work if you give it a URL (even though it claims it does).

  • Using sem_t in a Qt Project

    - by thauburger
    Hi everyone, I'm working on a simulation in Qt (C++), and would like to make use of a Semaphore wrapper class I made for the sem_t type. Although I am including semaphore.h in my wrapper class, running qmake provides the following error: 'sem_t does not name a type' I believe this is a library/linking error, since I can compile the class without problems from the command line. I've read that you can specify external libraries to include during compilation. However, I'm a) not sure how to do this in the project file, and b) not sure which library to include in order to access semaphore.h. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tom Here's the wrapper class for reference: Semaphore.h #ifndef SEMAPHORE_H #define SEMAPHORE_H #include <semaphore.h> class Semaphore { public: Semaphore(int initialValue = 1); int getValue(); void wait(); void post(); private: sem_t mSemaphore; }; #endif Semaphore.cpp #include "Semaphore.h" Semaphore::Semaphore(int initialValue) { sem_init(&mSemaphore, 0, initialValue); } int Semaphore::getValue() { int value; sem_getvalue(&mSemaphore, &value); return value; } void Semaphore::wait() { sem_wait(&mSemaphore); } void Semaphore::post() { sem_post(&mSemaphore); } And, the QT Project File: TARGET = RestaurantSimulation TEMPLATE = app QT += SOURCES += main.cpp \ RestaurantGUI.cpp \ RestaurantSetup.cpp \ WidgetManager.cpp \ RestaurantView.cpp \ Table.cpp \ GUIFood.cpp \ GUIItem.cpp \ GUICustomer.cpp \ GUIWaiter.cpp \ Semaphore.cpp HEADERS += RestaurantGUI.h \ RestaurantSetup.h \ WidgetManager.h \ RestaurantView.h \ Table.h \ GUIFood.h \ GUIItem.h \ GUICustomer.h \ GUIWaiter.h \ Semaphore.h FORMS += RestaurantSetup.ui LIBS += Full Compiler Output: g++ -c -pipe -g -gdwarf-2 -arch i386 -Wall -W -DQT_GUI_LIB -DQT_CORE_LIB -DQT_SHARED - I/usr/local/Qt4.6/mkspecs/macx-g++ -I. - I/Library/Frameworks/QtCore.framework/Versions/4/Headers -I/usr/include/QtCore - I/Library/Frameworks/QtGui.framework/Versions/4/Headers -I/usr/include/QtGui - I/usr/include -I. -I. -F/Library/Frameworks -o main.o main.cpp In file included from RestaurantGUI.h:10, from main.cpp:2: Semaphore.h:14: error: 'sem_t' does not name a type make: *** [main.o] Error 1 make: Leaving directory `/Users/thauburger/Desktop/RestaurantSimulation' Exited with code 2.   • How to get GWT 2.0 and Restlet 2.0 to play nice

    - by Holograham
    Hello, I am having trouble getting Restlet to play nice with GWT in the same project. I have been trying the examples from Restlets website to no avail I am using Eclipse, Maven2 plugin, GWT, and Restlet GWT. I have never used server side code in this GWT project before and I know there is some custom setup involved. I am deploying locally for the time being using the built in Jetty in GWT Hosted Mode. I can get my front end to display but my back end is not executing. I did add this to my web.xml file which is from the example (for the time being I am trying to drop the example into my project). <servlet> <servlet-name>adapter</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.restlet.ext.gwt.GwtShellServletWrapper</servlet-class> <init-param> <param-name>org.restlet.application</param-name> <param-value>org.restlet.example.gwt.server.TestServerApplication</param-value> </init-param> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>adapter</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> I did notice that my web.xml file is located separately from my war deployment directory. My project dir structure is setup as follows. Project Root src/main/java src/main/resources src/main/test JRE Maven Dependecies GWT SDK src main webapp WEB-INF web.xml target war <my project dir> WEB-INF lib pom.xml So there is no web.xml under my war files WEB-INF directory. I am new to this type of application so it is most likely a matter of me not understanding the directory structure and how my GWT project is compiling into these dirs. Any help is appreciated! If I need to provide any more info let me know. Thanks

  • No properties file found Error for ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource

    - by samspot
    I'm trying to use a reloadable spring resource bundle but spring cannot find the file. I've tried tons of different paths, but can't get it to work anywhere. In the code below you'll see that i load both the spring bundle and the regular one from the same path variable but only one works. I've been banging my head against this for far too long. Anybody have any ideas? logfile INFO 2010-04-28 11:38:31,805 [main] org.myorg.test.TestMessages: C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties INFO 2010-04-28 11:38:31,805 [main] org.myorg.data.Messages: initializing Spring Message Source to C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties INFO 2010-04-28 11:38:31,821 [main] org.myorg.data.Messages: Attempting to load properties from C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties DEBUG 2010-04-28 11:38:31,836 [main] org.springframework.context.support.ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource: No properties file found for [C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties_en_US] - neither plain properties nor XML DEBUG 2010-04-28 11:38:31,842 [main] org.springframework.context.support.ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource: No properties file found for [C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties_en] - neither plain properties nor XML DEBUG 2010-04-28 11:38:31,848 [main] org.springframework.context.support.ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource: No properties file found for [C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties] - neither plain properties nor XML INFO 2010-04-28 11:38:31,848 [main] org.myorg.test.TestMessages: I am C:\www\htdocs\messages.properties Messages.java package org.myorg.data; import java.io.File; import java.io.FileInputStream; import java.io.IOException; import java.util.PropertyResourceBundle; import java.util.ResourceBundle; import org.apache.commons.logging.Log; import org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory; import org.springframework.context.support.ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource; public class Messages { protected static final Log logger = LogFactory.getLog(Messages.class); private static ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource msgSource = null; private static ResourceBundle RESOURCE_BUNDLE; public static final String PATH = "C:" + File.separator + "www" + File.separator + "htdocs" + File.separator + "messages.properties"; private Messages() { } public static String getString(String key) { initBundle(); return msgSource.getMessage(key, null, RESOURCE_BUNDLE.getString(key), null); } private static void initBundle(){ if(null == msgSource || null == RESOURCE_BUNDLE){ logger.info("initializing Spring Message Source to " + PATH); msgSource = new ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource(); msgSource.setBasename(PATH); msgSource.setCacheSeconds(1); /* works, but you have to hardcode the platform dependent path starter. • IronPython and Nodebox in C#

    - by proxylittle
    My plan: I'm trying to setup my C# project to communicate with Nodebox to call a certain function which populates a graph and draws it in a new window. Current situation: [fixed... see Update2] I have already included all python-modules needed, but im still getting a Library 'GL' not found it seems that the pyglet module needs a reference to GL/gl.h, but can't find it due to IronPython behaviour. Requirement: The project needs to stay as small as possible without installing new packages. Thats why i have copied all my modules into the project-folder and would like to keep it that or a similar way. My question: Is there a certain workaround for my problem or a fix for the library-folder missmatch. Have read some articles about Tao-Opengl and OpenTK but can't find a good solution. Update1: Updated my sourcecode with a small pyglet window-rendering example. Problem is in pyglet and referenced c-Objects. How do i include them in my c# project to be called? No idea so far... experimenting alittle now. Keeping you updated. SampleCode C#: ScriptRuntimeSetup setup = Python.CreateRuntimeSetup(null); ScriptRuntime runtime = new ScriptRuntime(setup); ScriptEngine engine = Python.GetEngine(runtime); ScriptSource source = engine.CreateScriptSourceFromFile("test.py"); ScriptScope scope = engine.CreateScope(); source.Execute(scope); SampleCode Python (test.py): from nodebox.graphics import * from nodebox.graphics.physics import Vector, Boid, Flock, Obstacle flock = Flock(50, x=-50, y=-50, width=700, height=400) flock.sight(80) def draw(canvas): canvas.clear() flock.update(separation=0.4, cohesion=0.6, alignment=0.1, teleport=True) for boid in flock: push() translate(boid.x, boid.y) scale(0.5 + boid.depth) rotate(boid.heading) arrow(0, 0, 15) pop() canvas.size = 600, 300 def main(canvas): canvas.run(draw) Update2: Line 139 [pyglet/lib.py] sys.platform is not win32... there was the error. Fixed it by just using the line: from pyglet.gl.lib_wgl import link_GL, link_GLU, link_WGL Now the following Error: 'module' object has no attribute '_getframe' Kind of a pain to fix it. Updating with results... Update3: Fixed by adding following line right after first line in C#-Code: setup.Options["Frames"] = true; Current Problem: No module named unicodedata, but in Python26/DLLs is only a *.pyd file`. So.. how do i implement it now?!

  • CCNet web dashboard not showing anything when MSBuild fails

    - by cfdev9
    I have a simple project in ccnet using svn & msbuild only. There is a 30 second trigger for svn and the msbuild file compiles a web application then copies it to a numbered build folder. When an error occurs in the msbuild task I get a failed build. When I view a failed build in the web dashboard I can see the 'Modifications since last build' section in the dashboard, but nothing else. I have to click on the build log and read through all of the xml in the error log to see what the error was. Why won't the dashboard show the errors from the build log? I haven't changed anything in the dashboard.config since installing ccnet. • progressIndicator does not update till about 10 seconds after awakeFromNib occures

    - by theprojectabot
    I have been trying to get this one section of my UI to immediatly up date when the document loads into view. The awakeFromNib fires the pasted code and then starts a timer to repeat every 10 seconds... I load a default storage location: ~/Movies... which shows up immediately.. yet the network location that is saved in the document that gets pulled from the XML only seems to show up after the second firing of the - (void)updateDiskSpaceDisplay timer. I have set breakpoints and know that the ivars that contain the values that are being put into the *fileSystemAttributes is the network location right when the awakeFromNib occurs... Im confused why it magically appears after the second time firing instead of immediately displaying the write values. - (void)updateDiskSpaceDisplay { // Obtain information about the file system used on the selected storage path. NSError *error = NULL; NSDictionary *fileSystemAttributes = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] attributesOfFileSystemForPath:[[[self settings] containerSettings] storagePath] error:&error]; if( !fileSystemAttributes ) return; // Get the byte capacity of the drive. long long byteCapacity = [[fileSystemAttributes objectForKey:NSFileSystemSize] unsignedLongLongValue]; // Get the number of free bytes. long long freeBytes = [[fileSystemAttributes objectForKey:NSFileSystemFreeSize] unsignedLongLongValue]; // Update the level indicator, and the text fields to show the current information.
