    I am looking for the Java equivalent of gprof. I did a little Java profiling using System.getCurrentMillis(), and saw several GUI tools which seem too much. A good compromise could be a text-based Java profiler, preferably free or low-cost, which works in either Windows XP or Linux.

  • Formatting numbers with significant figures in C#

    I have some decimal data that I am pushing into a SharePoint list where it is to be viewed. I'd like to restrict the number of significant figures displayed in the result data based on my knowledge of the specific calculation. Sometimes it'll be 3, so 12345 will become 12300 and 0.012345 will become 0.0123. Occasionally it will be 4 or 5. Is there any convenient way to handle this?

    Hi, I would like to catch a click event with jquery and be able to tell if a key was pressed at the same time so i can fork within the callback function based on the keypress. for example: $("button").click(function() { if([KEYPRESSED WHILE CLICKED]) { do something... } else { do something different... } }); Does anyone know if this is possible at all or how it can be done if it is possible?

    Is anyone aware of an R package for Bayesian Belief Networks (BBN) that can handle latent (hidden) nodes? I am referring to process learning the structure and the parameters of the model. Based on the documentation, the "bnlearn" package does not provide for such capability. In addition, is anyone aware of R packages that allow for making inferences and sensitivity analysis for BBN?     XML based serializers have variable size output for a given class. I can't use them to append data to my Memcached list, since I won't be able to retrieve that information later. But if I knew my serializer produced a fixed size output (N bytes), I could retrieve my data by splitting my list in N bytes chunks and then deserializing those chunks individually. I have created my own serializer for my class, but what other serializers I could use?

    I've researched for hours and still haven't found a robust, non-absolute-positioning solution for displaying multiple-column forms and values without using TABLE tags. Can someone point me to a resource specifically oriented towards reproducing table-based, multiple-column forms (like name and address forms) in CSS to standards? Most of the forms I see only have a single column with field/value.
