• How to make playing track in Foobar2000 more noticeable?

  The current playing track is signaled only by a very discreet arrow - no bold, no highlight, no different color. The only 'highlighting'happens by selecting tracks. In other players the difference between selected tracks and highlighted/playing tracks is obvious. Are there some settings - I don't mean skins - that would improve this? Edit considering my answer below: maybe that line $if(%isplaying%, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?) could be edited to make the track bold or of a certain color?

• WSS_Content contains?

  WSS 3.0:Windows2003 I have a content database that keeps growing for the name of simply, "WSS_Content" This database is aside from all the other content databases that are linked to an web application, but located in the same directory. I count 5 CONTENT databases on this directory, but only 4 web applications (excluding the centraladmin). Trouble is it keeps growing in size and I need to know what it is and why its growing. Is this a default database of some kind? Where and why would it grow? I recently found, through Central Administration, that one of my sites has a content database name of "WSS_Content_(random numbers and letters)" whereas, the other content databases would have a name like "WSS_Content_(WebApplicationName)" What gives?

• What is an SSH key?

  I signed up for github and notice the ssh key option which looked interesting. I originally expected something like an ssl key (name, co name, etc). After going through it i notice i only put a password and it is always myuser@comp-name (this is windows). Why? I thought it was a user/pass id and i can create separate keys for separate purpose for privacy reasons. Now i see i am required to use one to create a repository. Also i see something about a 'private key file' when looking at options. What exactly is an SSH Key and how can i create a separate user without creating a separate login in windows.

• Why use FQDN as DNS-server option in DHCP?

  I've seen multiple default configurations of DHCP-servers with a FQDN set as the DNS-server option. Doesn't this imply a catch-22, or the need for that DNS-server to be in the hosts file of every single client? example from dhcp3-server in debian 6: option domain-name-servers ns1.internal.example.org; I can see how using a dns name is convenient because it's only an A-record to change, and they can be load balanced if wanted, but I don't see how the client is going to resolve the name. Why are people using FQDN's as DNS-server addresses in DHCP?

  I have to concatenate a number of files in a directory structure which contains spaces in the folder names looking like this: ./CH 0000100014/A10/11XT/11xt#001.csv find . -name "*.csv" -type f -print0 | xargs -0 cat > allmycsv.txt does the job, however now I need to include the information contained in the path, i.e. CH 0000100014/A10/11XT as a header of each inputfile to cat. find . -name "*.csv" -type f -print0 | xargs -0 -I % sh -c 'echo %; cat %' >allmycsv.txt would do the job, if I had no spaces in the path, but in my case, cat does not get along with the space in the path name. The mails are all returns from the same server. • Cannot connect to a VPN server - authentication failed with error code 691

  When trying to connect to a VPN server, I get the 691 error code on the client, which say: Error Description: 691: The remote connection was denied because the user name and password combination you provided is not recognized, or the selected authentication protocol is not permitted on the remote access server. Now, I validated that the username and password are correct, and tried to login with domain name and without. I also installed a certification to use with the IKEv2 security type. I also validated that the VPN server support security method. But I cannot login. In the server log I get this log: Network Policy Server denied access to a user. The user DomainName\UserName connected from IP address but failed an authentication attempt due to the following reason: The remote connection was denied because the user name and password combination you provided is not recognized, or the selected authentication protocol is not permitted on the remote access server. • OWA (Outlook Web Access) won't give user a link to attached document. Gives "Open as Web Page"

  I have been testing OWA and have found that when there is an attached file on a message it shows the "Attachments:" then the file name (but no link) and then [Open as Web Page] link. The user has to click on that which opens a new window and previews the document, then the user gets "You are currently viewing:" followed by the file name. This time the file name is a link that they can open/download. This happens for Office documents and PDF file at least. How do I make it so users can get a direct link to the file on the original message window?

• Folder permissions, red x on user object

  This question was asked before but was no answer. On shared folders on the file server, for the domain user name object under the security tab, the icon has a red x. There are no symptoms, the users have full access, there is just a red x on the icon for their name. Why is this? For clarification, logged into the windows 2008 r2 file server, browse to a users shared folder, right click on the folder, hit properties, click the security tab. The object representing the users domain name has a little red x on the lower right hand corner of the icon that looks like a single man. There are no symptoms beyond me wondering why the red x is there.

  When I create a new user in exchange, it asks me to provide the User Logon Name. There is a dropdown box that supposedly allows you to select a domain for the user's login. What is this referring to? How can I make it so that I can create users with different domains in their user logon name? p.s. I am very aware of 'Accepted Domains' in Exchange allowing one user to have several email addresses in different domains. I am just curious how I can modify the user's Logon name specifically.

  My VAIO advised me to switch to a White Background, to reduce power consumption. But it seems contradictory to common logic. Its like saying a brighter Torch consuming less than a dimmer one. Common Logic says that, Screen is BLACK when not using any POWER, so displaying black color should not consume any power (because without powering any pixel it gives black color) Also a white screen gives me more light than a darker one, so it should use more Energy. White Wallpaper = More Light Output = More Electrical Energy Consumed Black Wallpaper = Less Light = Less Electricity Consumed My question is - Is there anything wrong with the above argument ? A Lighter Wallpaper consumes less power than a Darker one. Is it true ? If yes, Why ?

  I am trying to allow an account to update very specific attributes on all User objects. I am setting this security on the "User" object. When I add the account on the security tab, go to advanced, edit the accounts permissions, and start going through the list of attributes I am only able to find a few, like First Name, but most of the attributes I want to let them write to are missing. • How can I set up conditional formatting to highlight a range only if all its cells are empty?

  I am new to conditional formatting and having a hard time. I have 6 columns with 100 rows. What I would like to have happen is to highlight the row in one color if there is no data in it at all. If there is data in one cell within the row, however, I would like for the highlighting to be removed from the row completely. Currently I have it set up to highlight the entire row if there is no data in it and if there is data in one cell, only that cell has no highlighting....I can't seem to make the entire row's highlighting disappear. I have used the formula to determine which cells to format: =I16:N16="" formatting color is yellow. I know I have to add a second conditional format but I have tried numerous different formulas and cant seem to get it to work.

  In the past we didn't have a proper domain name for our site, now I have registered a proper domain name, but now I experiance the following problem: If I go to https://46.144.46.214/ita I can access the portal without any problem; If I go to https://ita.telvent-netherlands.com/ita I receive a time-out in Internet Explorer. But if I go to https://ita.telvent-netherlands.com/ I see that I reach the IIS server so the DNS is working. Do you know how it is possible that I can reach it by IP and not by name?
