  • How to convert the date string into string( yyyy-MM-dd). While doing so, I getting null values ?

    Hi, I have the data as customerFromDate " 01 Apr 2010 " and customerToDate " 30 Apr 2010 " which is a string. I want to convert that format into yyyy-MM-dd it should be in string. but while doing so. I got null values.     Hello, I have a SQL table with a whole load of records that look like this: | Date | Score | + -----------+-------+ | 01/01/2010 | 4 | | 02/01/2010 | 6 | | 03/01/2010 | 10 | ... | 16/03/2010 | 2 | I'm plotting this on a chart, so I get a nice line across the graph indicating score-over-time. Lovely. Now, what I need to do is include the average score on the chart, so we can see how that changes over time, so I can simply add this to the mix: SELECT YEAR(SCOREDATE) 'Year', MONTH(SCOREDATE) 'Month', MIN(SCORE) MinScore, AVG(SCORE) AverageScore, MAX(SCORE) MaxScore FROM SCORES GROUP BY YEAR(SCOREDATE), MONTH(SCOREDATE) ORDER BY YEAR(SCOREDATE), MONTH(SCOREDATE) That's no problem so far. The problem is, how can I easily calculate the percentiles at each time-period? I'm not sure that's the correct phrase. What I need in total is: A line on the chart for the score (easy) A line on the chart for the average (easy) A line on the chart showing the band that 95% of the scores occupy (stumped) It's the third one that I don't get.     Is it possible to use URL Rewrite to provide more complex query string functionality than the "Append query string" checkbox that it has? Specifically, is it possible to specify the keys for certain query string parameters and have it only append those name value pairs. For example, for the input: http://www.example.org/test?alpha=1&beta=2&gamma=3 and the list of query string parameter keys: beta gamma it should output: http://www.example.org/redirect?beta=2&gamma=3 (Note that the query string parameters in the input appear in arbitrary order.)

  • RenderTargetBitmap + Resource'd VisualBrush = incomplete image

    I've found a new twist on the "Visual to RenderTargetBitmap" question! I'm rendering previews of WPF stuff for a designer. That means I need to take a WPF visual and render it to a bitmap without that visual ever being displayed. Got a nice little method to do it like to see it here it goes private static BitmapSource CreateBitmapSource(FrameworkElement visual) { Border b = new Border { Width = visual.Width, Height = visual.Height }; b.BorderBrush = Brushes.Black; b.BorderThickness = new Thickness(1); b.Background = Brushes.White; b.Child = visual; b.Measure(new Size(b.Width, b.Height)); b.Arrange(new Rect(b.DesiredSize)); RenderTargetBitmap rtb = new RenderTargetBitmap( (int)b.ActualWidth, (int)b.ActualHeight, 96, 96, PixelFormats.Pbgra32); // intermediate step here to ensure any VisualBrushes are rendered properly DrawingVisual dv = new DrawingVisual(); using (var dc = dv.RenderOpen()) { var vb = new VisualBrush(b); dc.DrawRectangle(vb, null, new Rect(new Point(), b.DesiredSize)); } rtb.Render(dv); return rtb; } Works fine, except for one leeetle thing... if my FrameworkElement has a VisualBrush, that brush doesn't end up in the final rendered bitmap. Something like this: <UserControl.Resources> <VisualBrush x:Key="LOLgo"> <VisualBrush.Visual> <!-- blah blah --> <Grid Background="{StaticResource LOLgo}"> <!-- yadda yadda --> Everything else renders to the bitmap, but that VisualBrush just won't show. The obvious google solutions have been attempted and have failed. Even the ones that specifically mention VisualBrushes missing from RTB'd bitmaps. I have a sneaky suspicion this might be caused by the fact that its a Resource, and that lazy resource isn't being inlined. So a possible fix would be to, somehow(???), force resolution of all static resource references before rendering. But I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Anybody have a fix for this?

Now I get the same count on Reviews and Comment and both are wrong.     I need to parse strings inputs where the columns are separated by columns and any field that contains a comma in the data is wrapped in quotes (commas separated, quoted text identifiers). For this project I need to remove the quotes and any commas that occur between pairs of quotes. Basically, I need to remove commas and quotes that are contained in fields while preserving the commas that are used to separate the fields. Here's a little code I put together that handles the simple scenario: // Sample input 1: This works and covers 99% of the records that I need to parse. string str1 = "[email protected],2010/03/27 12:2:02,,some_first_name,some_last_name,,\"This Address Works, Suite 200\",Some City,TN,09876-5432,9795551212x123,XYZ"; str1 = Regex.Replace(str1, "\"([^\"^,]*),([^\"^,]*)\"", "$1$2"); Console.WriteLine(str1); // Outputs: [email protected],2010/03/27 12:2:02,,some_first_name,some_last_name,,This Address Works Suite 200,Some City,TN,09876-5432,9795551212x123,XYZ Although this code works for most of my records, it doesn't work when a field contains more than one commas. What I would like to do is modify the code so that it remove each instance of a comma contained within the column no matter how many commas there are in the field. I don't want to hard code only handling 2 commas, or 3 commas, or 25 commas. The code should just remove all the commas in the field.     Hey, I'm having some trouble with stuff that work locally and dont work on the app engine python environment: Basically, i want to get a program from an epg between ranges of date and time. i know i cannot do two where < so i saw a suggestion to save the dates as list as datetime.datetime which i did. [datetime.datetime(2010, 5, 10, 14, 25), datetime.datetime(2010, 5, 10, 15, 0)] This is ok. but when i try to compare to it: progranon = get_object(Programs2Channel, 'channel_id =', channelobj.key(), 'endstartdate >', programstart_minex, 'endstartdate <', programstart_minex ) This for some reason works locally, but fails to retrieve the data on the app engine. *Im using Google app engine django patch which uses the get_object to retrieve data in transactions. Please help.   • Using PLINQ to calculate and update values within the enclosure does not work

    I recently needed to do a running total on a report. Where for each group, I order the rows and then calculate the running total based on the previous rows within the group. Aha! I thought, a perfect use case for PLINQ! However, when I wrote up the code, I got some strange behavior. The values I was modifying showed as being modified when stepping through the debugger, but when they were accessed they were always zero. I want classify data(rows) based on years like this : a_2006 = {43 432 2006; 32 5 2006; 32 5 2006} a_2008 = {254 12 2008}; a_2000 = {65 35 2000; 64 34 2000} a_2010 = {64 2 2010; 22 2 2010} I have different years in column three in every cell array (this cell array is a sample) so I want an automatic method to determine the years and classify them to a_yearA , a_yearB etc. or other naming that I can distinguish years and call data years easily.     I send emails from two addresses using a single Entourage 12.2.4 client. One of them is a personal work account and one is an administrative account. It's very easy to send email from the wrong address, and this causes fairly significant problems when it happens. Do you have any solutions that would make it more obvious which email address is currently selected as the "From:" address in the composition? Different icons or some sort of color-coding scheme seem like useful ideas, though perhaps too much to expect of the lowly Entourage... Thanks!

    On IIS 7.5 I am trying to achieve this with two websites: Default Web Site is bound to: (blank host header port 80 - http) (blank host header port 443 - https) go.example.com www71.example.com the IP address of go.example.com 2nd web site "Beta" is bound to: beta.example.com (blank host header port 443 - https) * using blank only because it doesn't seem to be possible to bind https to a named host header And both need to work with SSL. But I have these problems: When I type in beta.example.com, I see the go.example.com site instead I can not seem to add the SSL binding to both websites at once (I have a single *.example.com wildcard certificate). The beta site will not even start if I add the https binding to it. This is how I have set it up: What is the correct way to set it up?

    I've seen several screencasts (recorded on Mac OS X) which show a nice little "toast" indicating which shortcut key is being pressed by the screencaster, typically in the middle of the screen. Is this a feature of the screencasting software? Is there an app that does this that stands alone? I regularly do presentations for programming classes, and I want a way to show my audience what shortcuts I'm activating.

    I noticed that the transparent interface in Firefox 4 for Windows 7 is really curbing performance. After Googling for a method to disable Aero for Firefox, however, I got no results. There just doesn't seem to be a straight forward (such as a simple Boolean to turn it off in about:config) method to get rid of Aero effects. Is it even possible in the Firefox 4 beta? I'm using Firefox 4 beta 12 (soon to be beta 13 after the update).

That method mainly just returns the results of a criteria query for which I want to test if it returns the one result or not (depending on what is queried for). The problem is, that I am unaware of how to right the corresponding test correctly. I am trying to accomplish it via spock, but doing the same with any other way of testing also fails.
