  • Open Source Salon Management Software Suggestions?

    I'm looking for a decent open source salon management system to recommend to a friend. I've considered writing a new system in .Net but the website aspect is already covered. What's really required at this stage is an decent reservation and stock management application that I could put in place for them. If there are recommendations for commericial pacakages which are reasonably priced I would also like to hear them. Thanks.

    How can I use .htaccess to forward a visitor of a specific IP address to a webpage on my server? This example causes an infinite loop: RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} ^123\.\123\.123\.123$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /specialpage.php [R,L] I found this on the web but it just does not work: SetEnvIf REMOTE_ADDR 123.123.123.123 REDIR="redir" RewriteCond %{REDIR} redir RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /specialpage.php Note: My website consists of .htm, html and .php pages.   • The server method xxx failed (asp.net ajax)

    I have a website project, that is working fine. However every once a while certain ajax pages (that make calls to a webservice) throw a "the server method xxx failed". I have ELMAH installed, however do not see any stacktrace or anything. The worst is that I can not reproduce the error locally. I just get an email notification from ELMAH. Does anybody know how I can fix this issue?

And for example : i have 3 banner: banner1 with 20.000 nr of views banner2 with 10.000 nr of views banner3 with 5.000 nr of views and on my website the banner must to appear in this position (when the page is reloaded) : banner1 banner2 banner1 banner2 banner3 if the number of views is higher then the probability of apparition is higher how can i do this in php? I have not found any more info in any books or internet. My website download forms has 1000's of pages generated thru script. I want to generate breadcrumb navigation for the pages. Google has refused me Adsense account due to this lack of navigation.

I configured apache httpd-vhosts.conf to listen my ip address:80 and added the virtual server with the ip address and domain root to local httdocs directory and the servername as localhost.   • Can I view a list of public variables of some Adobe Air app or web flash file from another app?

    I was thinking about creating making AIM pluggin that checks pandora one (desktop) or pandora website periodically to see what is currently playing and update a user's status. I suppose the main question is there a clever way to access a "public" variable from some open Adobe Air process? I KNOW this sounds like some crazy security flaw, but it may also be a feature. I am pretty sure javascript can potentially handle it. Thanks!

  • 2 roles, admin and user. Is using anything other than basic http auth overkill?

    I'm building my first website with rails,it consists of a blog, a few static pages and a photo gallery. The admin section has namespaced controllers. I also want to create a mailing list, collecting contact info, (maybe a spree store in the future too.) Should I just use basic http authentication and check if the user is admin? Or is a plugin like authlogic better, then define user roles even though there would only be two; admin and user?

My app downloaded the .mp3 file successful and then played it. However, after a few days, I run my app again, the app can't downloaded the .mp3 file. How can I download the .mp3 file all the time?     I have an iframe in b.com which attempts to grab the jQuery library from a.com [my website]. Whenever it does this I get the "Access is Denied" error in both IE7 and IE8. I have checked out Fiddler and it doesnt show that the script is getting blocked - but IE does errors with "Access is Denied" What is causing this prob and how to get around it ? Thx

  • Android browser scaling?

    I'm trying to create a mobile website for android. When I set the width of the body to 480px (the width of the screen) the result is about 50% larger than what I expect. It seems that android is scaling what it draws and messing up all my layouts. Does anyone know how to disable this, or work around it? I'm already using this: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, height=device-height, user-scalable=no, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, minimum-scale=1.0" />
