• How to use gnlcomposition to concatenate video files?

  Hi All, I am trying to concatenate two video files with the gnonlin components of the gstreamer. The pipeline I am using is gst-launch-0.10 gnlcomposition { gnlfilesource name="s1" location="/home/s1.mp4" start=0 duration=2000000000 media-start=0 media-duration=2000000000 gnlfilesource name="s2" location="/home/s2.mp4" start=2000000000 duration=2000000000 media-start=0 media-duration=2000000000 } ! queue ! videorate ! progressreport name="Merging Progress" ! ffmpegcolorspace ! ffenc_mpeg4 ! ffmux_mp4 ! filesink location="/home/merge.mp4" As a result I am getting only the second file for the duration specified in the parameters. Tried several things and also searched on google but I could not figure out the problem with the above command. Can anyone point what i am doing wrong? Any other way of concatenating multiple files into one based on time is welcome too. Thanks

• Databind gridview with LINQ

  I have two database tables, one for Users of a web site, containing the fields "UserID", "Name" and the foreign key "PageID". And the other with the fields "PageID" (here the primary key), and "Url". I want to be able to show the data in a gridview with data from both tables, and I'd like to do it with databinding in the aspx page. I'm not sure how to do this, though, and I can't find any good examples of this particular situation. So how do I put some sort of "where" constraint on dropdown for each row to only show the pages for the user in that row? (Also, to be honest I'm not sure I'm getting the foreign key relationship right, because I'm not too used to working with relationships). EDIT: I think I have set up the relationship incorrectly. I keep getting the message that "Pages" doesn't exist as a property on the User object. And I guess it can't since the relationship right now is one way. So I tried to create a many-to-many relationship. Again, my database knowledge is a bit limited, but I added a so called "junction table" with the fields UserID and PageID, same as the other tables' primary keys. I wasn't able to make both of these primary keys in the junction table though (which it looked like some people had in examples I've seen...but since it wasn't possible I guessed they shouldn't be). Anyway, I created a relationship from each table and created new LINQ classes from that. But then what do I do? I set the junction table as the Linq data source, since I guessed I had to do this to access both tables, but that doesn't work. Then it complains there is no Name property on that object. So how do I access the related tables?   I'm trying to archive a task which turns out to be a bit complicated since I'm not very good at Python metaprogramming. I want to have a module locations with function get_location(name), which returns a class defined in a folder locations/ in the file with the name passed to function. Name of a class is something like NameLocation. So, my folder structure: program.py locations/ __init__.py first.py second.py program.py will be smth with with: from locations import get_location location = get_location('first') and the location is a class defined in first.py smth like this: from locations import Location # base class for all locations, defined in __init__ (?) class FirstLocation(Location): pass etc. Okay, I've tried a lot of import and getattribute statements but now I'm bored and surrender. How to archive such behaviour?

  Hello We are using Seam 2.2.0 Java 1.6.14 Weblogic 10.3.1.0 (named 11g Doh!) I have looked at Seam reference Seam in action These web pages However I still do not understand how to inject an EJB3 bean into a JSF backing bean. It seems to me that I have to (correct me if I am wrong) Annotate with @Name my backing bean Annotate with @Name my EJB3 bean Use the @In annotation in the backing bean Put an empty seam.properties file in the WAR that contains the backing bean Put an empty seam.properties file in the JAR that contains the EJB Set up a Seam interceptor in ejb-jar.xml of the EJB Don't I need to setup some JNDI URL somewhere? How exactly does Seam will find the EJB? The interceptor is enough? Also this means that I have to add a seam dependency in my EJB archive (because of the @Name annotation). So the web layer (Seam) "spills" into my business logic (EJB). Is this the recommended approach? Am I missing something here?

  I am trying to register a custom HttpHandler in the web.config file. MSDN's example shows an entry that is commented out...um which doesn't work so well. When I uncomment I receive a Could not load file or assembly 'HttpModule.cs' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. error. The file name is HttpModule.cs and the class name is MyHttpModule. There is no explicit namespace yet. <httpModules> <add name="MyHttpModule" type="MyHttpModule, HttpModule" /> <httpModules> I am sure I am overlooking the obvious. Do I need to specify the file path somewhere? Thanks in advance.

For instance First Name, and Last Name would not be known previously. How do I go about doing that? It seems that I cannot access the attributes directly. But when I use the label field, the variable name in the label is displayed not the actual value.

  I am designing a WIX 3.6 installer project, during the installation we need to grand the user create file permission to the install folder(INSTALLDIR, especially with the default install folder, the Program Files, the user normally can't create file in the installation. We've experienced some failures). I guess it can be achieved by setting a Permission element, with CreateFile property. However, the INSTALLDIR is a directory, and only such elements as CreateFolder, File, FileShare, Registry, ServiceInstall can have permission element. So could anyone tell me how to do that? The worksheet tabs can have their names changed, but it seems that Visual Basic still thinks of the worksheet names as Sheet1, etc., despite the workbook tab having been changed to something useful. Everything seemed to be working out great, until I tried to bind controls to a list inside my custom object. The list seems to always get deserialized with an extra, almost empty entity in it that I don’t know how to get rid of. So, here are some of the pieces. Should be 10 right? It is – BEFORE serialization. Does it have anything to do with the other list of Transaction entities being serialized as part of the EconomicsSummary class (TotalAccountHistory)? Do I need to decorate the EconomicsSummary class members a little more/differently? -Second, where are the peculiar values coming from on that extra entity? PRE-POSTING UPDATE 1: I did a little checking, it looks like that last entry is the first one in the TotalAccountHistory list. Do I need to do something with CollectionDataContract()? PRE-POSTING UPDATE 2: I fixed one bug in TotalAccountHistory, since the objects weren’t coming from the database their keys weren’t unique. So I set the keys on the Transaction entities inside TotalAccountHistory to be unique and guess what? Now, after deserialization RecentTransactions contains all its original items, plus every item in TotalAccountHistory. I’m pretty sure this has to do with the deserializer getting confused by two collections of the same type. But I don’t yet know how to resolve it…

• getting count(*) using createSQLQuery in hibernate?

  I have several sql queries that I simply want to fire at the database. I am using hibernate throughout the whole application, so i would prefer to use hibernate to call this sql queries. In the example below i want to get count + name, but cant figure out how to get that info when i use createSQLQuery(). I have seen workarounds where people only need to get out a single "count()" from the result, but in this case I am using count() + a column as ouput SELECT count(*), a.name as count FROM user a WHERE a.user_id IN (SELECT b.user_id FROM user b) GROUP BY a.name HAVING COUNT(*) BETWEEN 2 AND 5; fyi, the above query would deliver a result like this if i call it directly on the database: 1, John 2, Donald 1, Ralph ...

• How to use @FileUpload.GetHtml inside Html.BeginForm and sumbit FilesList

  There is a default submit button for the @FileUpload.GetHtml. But I am expecting to have a submit button inside the Html begin form and use that substitution to submit the list of files with some more parameters. But when I do that the passing IEnumerable is always null in the Action method. • Python (pdb) - Queueing up commands to execute

  I am implementing a "breakpoint" system for use in my Python development that will allow me to call a function that, in essence, calls pdb.set_trace(); Some of the functionality that I would like to implement requires me to control pdb from code while I am within a set_trace context. Example: disableList = [] def breakpoint(name=None): def d(): disableList.append(name) #**** #issue 'run' command to pdb so user #does not have to type 'c' #**** if name in disableList: return print "Use d() to disable breakpoint, 'c' to continue" pdb.set_trace(); In the above example, how do I implement the comments demarked by the #**** ? In other parts of this system, I would like to issue an 'up' command, or two sequential 'up' commands without leaving the pdb session (so the user ends up at a pdb prompt but up two levels on the call stack. • Django exclude(**kwargs) help

  Hey guys/gals! I had a question for you, something that I can't seem to find the solution for... Basically, I have a model called Environment, and I am passing all of them to a view, and there are particular environments that I would like to exclude. Now, I know there is a exclude function on a queryset, but I can't seem to figure out how to use it for multiple options... For example, I tried this but it didn't work: kwargs = {"name": "env1", "name": "env2"} envs = Environment.objects.exclude( kwards ) But the only thing that it will exclude is the last "name" value in the list of kwargs. I understand why it does that now, but I still can't seem to exclude multiple objects with one command. Any help is much appreciated! Shawn

• Unity IOC, AOP & Interface Interception

  I've been playing around with Unity to do some AOP stuff, setting up via IOC like: ioc.RegisterType<ICustomerService, CustomerService>() .Configure<Interception>().SetInterceptorFor<ICustomerService>(new InterfaceInterceptor()); ... and then having an ICallHandler on the ICustomerService interface's methods. For teh time being i want to just get the method called, the class it's in, and the namespace for that class. So... inside the... public IMethodReturn Invoke(IMethodInvocation input, GetNextHandlerDelegate getNext) ...method of the ICallHandler, i can access the method name via input.MethodBase.Name... if i use input.MethodBase.DeclaringType.Name i get the interface ICustomerService... BUT... how would i go about getting the implementing class "CustomerService" rather than the interface? I've been told to use input.Target.. but that just returns "DynamicModule.ns.Wrapped_ICustomerService_4f2242e5e00640ab84e4bc9e05ba0a13" Any help on this folks?
