  Hi all: I have a php script that updates a database via an api. This script works on one server but not on another. Both servers have curl enabled and they have php 5.2.6 or above. The error happens in the do_put() method. The rest of the script seems to be fine.   I've been looking into node.js recently and wanted to see a true comparison of processing speed for PHP vs Node.js. In most of the comparisons I had seen, Node trounced Apache/PHP set ups handily. However all of the tests were small 'hello worlds' that would not accurately reflect any webpage's markup. So I decided to create a basic HTML page with 10,000 hello world paragraph elements. In these tests Node with Cluster was beaten to a pulp by PHP on Nginx utilizing PHP-FPM. So I'm curious if I am misusing Node somehow or if Node is really just this bad at processing power. Note that my results were equivalent outputting "Hello world\n" with text/plain as the HTML, but I only included the HTML as it's closer to the use case I was investigating. I certainly think Node has a real niche that it could fit well, however with these test results (which I really hope I made a mistake with - as I like the idea of Node) lead me to believe that it is a horrible choice for even a modest processing load when compared to PHP (let alone JVM or various other fast solutions). As a final note, I also tried running an Apache Bench test against node with $ ab -n 20 -c 20 http://speedtest.dev/ and consistently received a total test time of greater than 0.900 seconds.

• Wiring up JavaScript handlers after a Partial Postback in ASP.NET

  I am trying to use LinkButtons with the DefaultButton property of the ASP.NET Panel in an UpdatePanel. I have read and used the various other answers that are around describing the wiring up of the click event so that a full postback is not done instead of a partial postback. When the page loads, I wire up the .click function of the LinkButton so that the DefaultButton property of the ASP.NET panel will work. This all works fine, until you bring an UpdatePanel into the mix. With an UpdatePanel, if there is a partial postback, the script to wire up the .click function is not called in the partial postback, and hitting enter reverts to causing a full submit of the form rather than triggering the LinkButton. How can I cause javascript to be executed after a partial postback to re-wire up the .click function of the LinkButton? I have produced a sample page which shows the problem. There are two alerts showing 1) When the code to hook up the .click function is being called, and 2) When the .click function has been called (this only happens when you hit enter in the textbox after the event has been wired up). To test this code, type something in the textbox and hit Enter. The text will be copied to the label control, but "Wiring up Event Click" alert will not be shown. Add another letter, hit enter again, and you'll get a full postback without the text being copied to the label control (as the LinkButton wasn't called). Because that was a full postback, the Wiring Up Event Click event will be called again, and the form will work properly the next time again. This is being done with ASP.NET 3.5. • PHP + Code Igniter Timecode Calculation Logic Error

  Hello everyone, I have what I suspect to be a logic problem with an algorithm I am using to work with Video timecode in PHP. All help is appreciated. The Objective Well basically I want to work with timecode and perform calculations For those not familiar with timecode it looks like this 01:10:58:12 or HH:MM:SS:FF 'AKA' HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS:FRAMES I have used the script from HERE to help me with working with this format. The Problem Now can i just say that this script works!!! Timecode calculations (in this case additions) are being performed correctly. • Copying one form's values to another form using JQuery

  I have a "shipping" form that I want to offer users the ability to copy their input values over to their "billing" form by simply checking a checkbox. I've coded up a solution that works -- but, I'm sort of new to jQuery and wanted some criticism on how I went about achieving this. Is this well done -- any refactorings you'd recommend? • migrating from Prototype to jQuery in Rails, having trouble with duplicate get request

  I'm in the process of migrating from Prototype to jQuery and moving all JS outside of the view files. All is going fairly well with one exception. Here's what I'm trying to do, and the problem I'm having. I have a diary where users can update records in-line in the page like so: user clicks 'edit' link to edit an entry in the diary a get request is performed via jQuery and an edit form is displayed allowing the user to modify the record user updates the record, the form disappears and the updated record is shown in place of the form All of that works so far. The problem arises when: user updates a record user clicks 'edit' to update another record in this case, the edit form is shown twice! In firebug I get a status code 200 when the form shows, and then moments later, another edit form shows again with a status code of 304 I only want the form to show once, not twice. The form shows twice only after I update a record, otherwise everything works fine. Here's the code, any ideas? I think this might have to do with the fact that in food_item_update.js I call the editDiaryEntry() after a record is updated, but if I don't call that function and try and update the record after it's been modified, then it just spits up the .js.erb response on the screen. That's also why I have the editDiaryEntry() in the add_food.js.erb file. I have a onSelectRow option that is supposed to build stacked html <li> tags (such as <li>...</li> <li>...</li> <li>...</li> ) up to the number of static xml elements that I am looking at. But my script is concatinating all the image src links together instead of building the whole listobject tag. When selecting a option from dropdown1 the dropdown2 will be populated and so on If there is only 1 option then the dropdown should be hidden If all 4 dropdowns is set and the end-user change dropdown 1, then dropdown2 should be reloaded and the rest be hidden If the user have selected some of the dropdowns(say 1,2 and 3) and hit submit and the page is not accepted on the server side(not valid) the dropdowns should be set exacly as when the user cliked the submit button when the page returns to the user. Any suggestions on this?

I’ve used JavaScript ~2 years ago (just a little), so I don’t really know how to write the exact code. I’ve found something on the internet, but it doesn’t do what I want. I want to have the following: The user can check the RadioButtons. When the user clicks the Button, the JavaScript function should return all the checked radio buttons (I only need to know which RadioButton is checked). Since I know the name of the RadioButtons in my Windows 8 App, I can do the following: var object = WebView.InvokeScript("JavaScriptFunctionNAME", NameOfRadiobutton); So the WebView invokes the script and should get as a return the VALUE of the RadioButton, which is checked. “JavaScriptFunctionNAME” = name of the function in Javascript NameOfRadiobutton = the name of the RadioButton as a parameter (for example “frage1”). Currently I’m returning the value of the radiobutton, which is checked in the RadioGroup “frage1”. How can I check every RadioButton by it’s parameter? By this I mean I have a parameter “frage1” and return the value of the checked RadioButton. • strange behavior while including a class in php

I know it is straight forward and I did it before but when I do so, it change the behavior of my jquery (1.8.3) ajax response. I'm running a wamp setup and my PHP version is 5.4.6. • Trying to use json to populate areas of my website using mysql, php, and jquery.

  Ok, so this is my first attempt at doing anything with JSON. I have done a lot with PHP and MySql as well as jQuery and JavaScript...but nothing with JSON. I have some data in a MySql database. In the codes below i am using a PHP file to retrieve the data from the MySql database and using json_encode to format it to JSON. This file is being called by the JavaScript that runs when the page loads (well, it runs on document.ready actually). • Perl - Reading .txt files line-by-line and using compare function (printing non-matches only once)

  I am really struggling and have spent about two full days on this banging my head against receiving the same result every time I run this perl script. I have a Perl script that connects to a vendor tool and stores data for ~26 different elements within @data. There is a foreach loop for @data that breaks the 26 elements into $e-{'element1'), $e-{'element2'), $e-{'element3'), $e-{'element4'), etc. etc. etc. I am also reading from the .txt files within a directory (line-by-line) and comparing the server names that exist within the text files with what exists in $e-{'element4'}. The Problem: Matches are working perfectly and only printing one line for each of the 26 elements when there is a match, however non-matches are producing one line for every entry within the .txt files (37 in all). So if there are 100 entries (each entry having 26 elements) stored within @data, then there are 100 x 37 entries being printed. So for every non-match in the: if ($e-{'element4'} eq '6' && $_ =~ /$e-{element7}/i) statement below, I am receiving a print out saying that there is not a match. 37 entries for the same identical 26 elements (because there are 37 total entries in all of the .txt files). The Goal: I need to print out only 1 line for each unique entry (a unique entry being $e-{element1} thru $e-{element26}). It is already printing one 1 line for matches, but it is printing out 37 entries when there is not a match. I need to treat matches and non-matches differently. My issue is : I can't list the IIS WebSites (\root\MicrosoftIISv2:IIsWebServerSetting.Name="W3SVC/*"). I don't get an 'access denied' but nothing is returned. My API and powershell tests can connect and execute queries in the root\MicrosoftIISv2 namespace I can read the IIsComputer class ex: Get-WmiObject IIsComputer -namespace "ROOT\MicrosoftIISv2" -authentication PacketPrivacy | SELECT * I can't read the IIsWebServerSetting, IIsWebServer ... to list the WebSites : the query returns an empty collection ex: Get-WmiObject IIsWebServerSetting -namespace "ROOT\MicrosoftIISv2" -authentication PacketPrivacy | SELECT ServerComment All queries work perfectly if the account is administrator as already said I am using PacketPrivacy authentication FI: I got a Warning Event 5605 with the Administrator right or not, that does not seem to have an impact : The root\MicrosoftIISv2 namespace is marked with the RequiresEncryption flag. Access to this namespace might be denied if the script or application does not have the appropriate authentication level. Change the authentication level to Pkt_Privacy and run the script or application again Ok, I have some more informations, when I use IIS 6 Metabase Explorer with my administrator account I can see the rights are correctly inherited for my non-administrator account. But when I try to connect using my non-administrator account, I can list the LM node, but get an "access denied, failed to get a key's data" when I try to browse the child nodes. I'll check further. I tried to Trace the WMI Activity, and everything seems OK ; this tends to confirm that the problem lies in IIS Rights.

• Nginx1.6.1: Installing from source not running corectly

  I just installed Nginx 1.6.1 from source but it didn't seem to installed correctly. Nginx is running if I service nginx status but when I do nginx -v it outputs command not found. Regular HTML page shows fine and there is no error in the error logs. I am on AWS Ec2 linux AMI.
