Tomcat6 ignores logging.properties partially

I'm using Tomcat 6, and this is my logging.properties: handlers = org.apache.juli.FileHandler, java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler .level=FINE org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationContext.level = OFF org.apache.juli.FileHandler.level = ALL org.apache.juli.FileHandler.directory = ${catalina.base}/logs org.apache.juli.FileHandler.prefix = mylog. java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler.level = FINE java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler.formatter = java.util.logging.SimpleFormatter On the one hand, Tomcat seems to read this file, as it correctly saves the logfiles with the prefix "mylog" and prints only messages with log-level FINE and above. On the other hand, it keeps on writing log messages like this: Jun 8, 2010 9:53:30 PM org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationContext log SEVERE: Error writing messages ClientAbortException: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe I actually wanted to suppress all log messages from this class, as they flood my logfile, and the error is irrelevant for me. So why is the following line ignored? org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationContext.level = OFF Is there any other way to suppress the log output of this class?

I'm trying to get the DOE,JOHN from the below NSString: IDCHK9898960101DL00300171DL1ZADOE,JOHN I was trying to split the string on 1ZA, as that will be constant. How to utilize my computation resources.

Hi all, I wrote a program to solve a complicated problem. This program is just a c# console application and doesn't do console.write until the computation part is finished, so output won't affect the performance. The program is like this: static void Main(string[] args) { Thread WorkerThread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(Run), StackSize); WorkerThread.Priority = ThreadPriority.Highest; WorkerThread.Start(); Console.WriteLine("Worker thread is runing..."); WorkerThread.Join(); } Now it takes 3 minute to run, when I open my task manager, I see it only take 12% of the cpu time. I actually have a i7 intel cpu with 6G three channel DDR3 memory. I am wondering how I can improve the utilization of my hardware. Thanks a lot

DSP - How are frequency amplitudes modified using DFT?

I'm trying to implement a DFT-based equalizer (not FFT) for the sole purpose of learning. To check if it works I took an audio signal, analyzed it and then resynthesized it again with no modifications made to the frequency spectrum. So far so good. Now I tried to silence some frequency bands, just by setting their amplitudes to zero before resynthesis, but definitely it's not the way to go. What I get is a rather distorted signal. I'm using the so-called 'standard way of calculating the DFT' which is by correlation. I first tried to modify the real part amplitudes only, then modifying both the real and imaginary part amplitudes. I also tried to convert the DFT output to polar notation, then modifying the magnitude and convert back to rectangular notation, but none of this is working. Can someone show me what I'm doing wrong? I tried to find info on this subject in the internet but couldn't find any. Thanks in advance.

posting php variable that contains apostrophe

I am having trouble posting a php variable to another page. The variable is retrieved from a dropdown selected by the user and if it contains an apostrophe, I only get the part prior to the apostrophe posted. I.E. If I want to post "Cooper's Hawk" I am only receiving "Cooper". How do I escape this properly so that I can post the entire string? This is what I have: echo '<form method="POST" action="advanced_search2.php">'; $dropdown_english_name = "<select class = 'dropdown' name='english_name'> <option>ALL</option>"; $posted_value = ($_POST['english_name']); echo;$posted_value;die; So, to clarify from the above code, the posted string is "cooper's hawk" but the echoed output is "Cooper". How do I get Wix to include a CustomTable with no rows in the final MSI? If I simply define the table like this <CustomTable Id="MyTable"> <Column Id="Id" Type="string" Category="Identifier" PrimaryKey="yes"/> <Column Id="Root" Type="string"/> <Column Id="Key" Type="string"/> <Column Id="Name" Type="string"/> </CustomTable> Wix omits it from the final output. My CustomAction is expecting it to be there, so that it can add rows to it during execution. Any ideas?

Wrong IO actions order using putStr and getLine

I have a code : main = do putStr "Test input : " content <- getLine putStrLn content And when I run it (with runhaskell) or compile it (ghc 6.10.4) result is like this: asd Test input : asd I'm new to haskell and in my opinion printing should be first. Am I right? In code sample on http://learnyouahaskell.com/ which used putStr then getLine presented output is different than mine (IMHO correct). When I use putStrLn program works as expected (print then prompt and print). Is it a bug in ghc, or it is the way that it should work?

When I try to run this code, System.out.println("STRING TOKENIZER CLASS".contains(" ")); It printed funny result, FALSE It sound not logical right? I've no idea what went wrong. I found out the reason, the space was not recognized as valid space by Java somehow. But, I don't know how it turned up to be like that from the front processing up to the code that I've posted.

I have looked at the first 50 top google links for this, and they seem to agree that doctest uses it's own copy of the stdout. If print is used it works if logger is used it logs to the root console. Can someone please demonstrate a working example with a code snippet that will allow me to combine. Note running nose to test doctest will just append the log output at the end of the test, (assuming you set the switches) it does not treat them as a print statement.

eclipse xdebug session never completes

I am trying to get xdebug working with eclipse (3.5) / php (on xampp windows 7). I have verified xdebug is enabled in php - I have the fancy output and my phpinfo shows all the xdebug stuff. I have remote debug on, and typed in the lan ip address on my eclipse machine. When I tell eclipse to debug, it launches the browser and passes the debug URL parameters. That looks OK. However, in eclipse debug perspective it shows 'launching myproject' 57% 'waiting for xdebug session'. It sits there forever. I have turned off windows firewall on both machines. I tried turning implicit flush on. Any ideas?

Can't set a cookie in Chrome 5

Hi, Since today I am facing a tricky issue with Google Chrome that I've just updated to v5. I have a user login process running on my website. Everything works fine on FF 3.6.x and IE 7, but I just can't set any cookie in Google Chrome 5. I'm mentioning 5 because it worked very well before on v4. My PHP script looks like that: $cook = setcookie($cookieName, $value, $expires, '/', '.'.$domain); var_dump($cook, isset($_COOKIE[$cookieName])); I even tried the alternative setrawcookie without any result. $cook = setrawcookie($cookieName, $value, $expires, '/', '.'.$domain); var_dump($cook, isset($_COOKIE[$cookieName])); FF 3.6.x and IE7 output: bool(true) bool(true) Whereas Chrome v5 outputs: bool(true) bool(false) And obviously I see not trace of this cookie in Google Chrome 5. Wordpress, PHP, URL Encoding Issue

Wordpress provides a function called "the_permalink()" that returns, you guessed it!, the permalink to a given post while in a loop of posts. Sequel Migration not running up?

Having some trouble with the Migrations in Sequel and could use another set of eyes. I am running a migration that looks ok but no table is created. It is definitely connecting because I can see the schema_info table has been created. -M 0/1 changes the version as you would expect but still no table. Is it possible to force an error in an Integration Services data flow to demonstrate its rollback?

I have been tasked with demoing how Integration Services handles an error during a data flow to show that no data makes it into the destination. This is an existing package and I want to limit the code changes to the package as much as possible (since this is most likely a one time deal). The scenario that is trying to be understood is a "systemic" failure - the source file disappears midstream, or the file server loses power, etc. I know I can make this happen by having the Error Output of the source set to Failure and introducing bad data but I would like to do something lighter than that. I suppose I could add a Script Transform task and look for a certain value and throw an error but I was hoping someone has come up with something easier / more elegant. Thanks, Matt

Maybe there is some way go get the desider output working with the floating point version. I've tryed with: dest = (__m256i)_mm256_shuffle_ps((__m256)source, (__m256)source, _MM_SHUFFLE(0,3,2,1)); but what I get is: || A0 || A2 || A3 || A4 || A5 || A6 || A7 || A1 || Any Idea on how to solve this in an efficient way? In a bash script, I want to get the cursor column in a variable. It looks like using the ANSI escape code {ESC}[6n is the only way to get it, for example the following way: # Query the cursor position echo -en '\033[6n' # Read it to a variable read -d R CURCOL # Extract the column from the variable CURCOL="${CURCOL##*;}" # We have the column in the variable echo $CURCOL Unfortunately, this prints characters to the standard output and I want to do it silently.
