    It's probably a no brainer, but I've spent the last 40 minutes or so looking for it to no avial. I have a Canvas control with a fixed width and a horizontal scrollbar. I'm trying to find the actual width of the control. The .width (fixed width) + the part being reviled by the scrollbar. I tried explicitWidth, width + maxHorizontalScrollPosition, and some other combos but non of them hit the spot.

My user control just has two textboxes for now, but I am not able to persist my inputs across postbacks. My ids are same everytime. I have enableViewstate ="true" in all controls all up to page level. Please adivce.

    I'm searching files and returning lines that include the search text, and I'm not really sure the best way to display the information I get. Every time I get a match, I want to show, in some sort of control, the File it came from, and the whole text line. (aka streamreader.ReadLine() result). First I tried just putting it all in a read-only text box, but it doesn't have a scroll bar. What is the best form control to help me display this data neatly?

  • How can I allow Drag and Drop from Windows Explorer into a C# WPF application?

    I know there have been tons of answers on this subject, but I still cannot get it to work at all. I've enabled AllowDrop on every control at every level of the application, and tried to catch DragEnter and Drop on every control to no avail. I can drag and drop items inside the application, but any time I try to bring something in from Windows Explorer or the desktop, etc. it gives me the No icon. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

    My Understanding Static block is executed during class loading, If a class is already loaded then there is no way to load the class other than class reloading Doubt/Question 1) Is there any time JVM reloads the class? My Understanding In Class Loading JVM loads source of the Java file, so it can not keep all thousands files source is a memory, it should discard the rarely used code and reload again when it is necessary and during reload JVM is not initializing static variables and locks again(may be using some tracking mechanism) Doubt/Question 2) If my above understanding is incorrect then please correct me

    Can you explain this? I want to eval values and calculations from two different sources. One source gives me the following info(programmatically): 'a = 2' The second source gives me this expression to evaluate: 'a + 3' This works: a = 2 eval 'a + 3' This also works: eval 'a = 2; a + 3' But what I really need is this, and it doesn't work: eval 'a = 2' eval 'a + 3' I would like to understand the difference, and how can I make the last option work. Right now I have several overloads that add events to different types of controls: Public Sub AddEventHandler(Button, ButtonEvent) 'adds event handling for Button.Click public Sub AddEventHandler(LinkButton, ButtonEvent)'adds event handling for LinkButton.Click The problem is I want to write a function that is more robust like: Public sub AddEventHandler(Control, EventToHandle, ControlEvent) where EventToHandle is the parameter representing Button.Click or whatever event that Button has associated with it.     Hi, I have created a user control ( custom data grid view control). I have used the code specified at MSDN [site][1] [1]: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316574 to set the border style . I am able to see the selected border style in designer. Like None, FixedSingle or Fixed3D. But when I set the border style to FixedSingle, the border does not appear at runtime. Do I need to draw it manually in the OnPaint method?
