• mouse to Three.js world coordinates during TrackballControls

  I know there are a lot of answers how to translate the mouse coordinates to the Three.js world coordinates (I prefere this one). But I have troubles on calculating when using TrackballControls. First what I expect to do: I want to add a zoom function to my scene. Not by the mouse wheel, the user should be able to draw a rectangular and by lifting the mouse button, the camera is zooming on this rectangular. I've implemented all and it works, but only when the user didn't rotate/zoom/pan with TrackballControls! If the camera was manipulated, I get wrong coordinates for my drawn rectangular. I really can't figure out why... I only know that it's an issue with TrackballControls, because without them, it works. Does anyone see my mistake? • Cannot get Correct month for a call from call log history

  I am trying to extract information from the call log of the android. I am getting the call date that is one month back from the actual time of call. I mean to say that the information extracted by my code for the date of call is one mont back than the actual call date. I have the following in the Emulator: I saved a contact. Then I made a call to the contact. Code: I have 3 ways of extracting call Date information but getting the same wrong result. • Combined SOAP/JSON/XML in WCF, using UriTemplate

  I'm trying to build a generic web service interface using WCF, to allow 3rd party developers to hook into our software. After much struggling and reading (this question helped a lot), I finally got SOAP, JSON and XML (POX) working together. The part I'd like to fix is the queries. I have to use TestService.svc/xml/GetDateOffset?numDays=4 instead of TestService.svc/xml/GetDateOffset/4. If I specify the UriTemplate, I get the error: Endpoints using 'UriTemplate' cannot be used with 'System.ServiceModel.Description.WebScriptEnablingBehavior'. But of course without using <enableWebScript/>, JSON doesn't work. The only other thing I've seen that I think will work is making 3 different services (.svc files), that all implement an interface that specifies the contract, but in the classes specify different WebGet/WebInvoke attributes on each class. This seems like a lot of extra work, that frankly, I don't see why the framework doesn't handle for me. The implementation of the classes would all be the same, except for the attributes, which means over time it would be easy for bugs/changes to get fixed/done in one implementation but not the others, leading to inconsistent behaviour when using the JSON vs SOAP implementation for example. Am I doing something wrong here? Am I taking a totally wrong approach and misusing WCF? Is there a better way to do this? With my experience doing web stuff, I think it should be possible for some kind of framework to handle this ... I even have an idea in my head of how to build it. It just seems like WCF is supposed to be doing this, and I don't really want to reinvent the wheel.

• Deselect dates in Web Calendar c#

  Hello, I'm trying to select and de-select dates on a C# Web Calendar control. The problem I have is that I can select or deselect dates except when there is only a single date selected. Clicking on it does not trigger the selection changed event, so Ineed to do something on the dayrender event but I'm not sure what or how. Any ideas? • IIS7 returns 403.1 (execute access denied) for image file

  I have a web app running in IIS7 on Windows Server 2008. There is a virtual directory pointing to a shared folder "/Content/Data" on another machine (running Windows Server 2003), as well as a real directory "/Content/Images" on the local machine (web app sub folder). Accessing images in "/Content/Images" is no problem, but when an image (e.g. a JPEG file) in the "/Content/Data" is accessed by a browser, IIS returns this error: HTTP Error 403.1 - Forbidden: Execute access is denied. However, the web app can read and write to / from it. I assume IIS and ASP.NET are running under different user accounts? Does anyone have an idea on what I have to do to make it work? I have set the permissions on the shared folder to Everyone Full Control, with no luck.

• Cheap dvr media server

  I would like to build a new computer to be used as a DVR and media server. I am thinking of using mythtv as the DVR software, but short of that decision I am completely open to suggestions. Requirements: Must be cheap. Must have low power consumption (since it will always be on). Should be quiet. Should be small. I'm really not sure where to start with this project, and am open to any hardware/software suggestions. Is it possible to build a small quiet and cheap system? *Keep in mind I am working on this project because I am tired of Cable rate increases, but I can't imagine living without a DVR so cost is very important and I would like the system to be sub $200.00. • OAuth with Google Reader API using Objective C

  I'm using the gdata OAuth controllers to get an OAuth token and then signing my requests as instructed. [auth authorizeRequest:myNSURLMutableRequest] It works great for GET requests but POSTs are failing with 401 errors. I knew I wouldn't be able to remain blissfully ignorant of the OAuth magic. The Google Reader API requires parameters in the POST body. OAuth requires those parameters to be encoded in the signature like they were on the query string. It doesn't appear the gdata library does this. I tried hacking it in the same way it handles the query string but no luck. This is so difficult to debug as all I get is a 401 from the Google black box and I'm left to guess. I really want to use OAuth so I don't have to collect login credentials from my users but I'm about to scrap it and go with the simpler cookie based authentication that is more mature. It's possible I'm completely wrong about the reason it's failing. This is my best guess. Any suggestions for getting gdata to work or maybe an alternative iphone friendly OAuth library?

• EC2 hosted service multi-tenant dynamic DNS solution

  I want to change the model of my EC2 hosted service to have a separate sub domain for each tenant (ie. .example.com). My primary DNS is now with dnsmadeeasy.com, but their dynamic DNS offering seem pretty weak: it requires the API to use my full dnsmadeeasy.com account credentials, I rather have the API use a limited privilege credential that can only add/remove/modify subdomain records from what I gather it only allows to modify existing records, does not allow me to dynamically add/remove records for new tenant subdomains My question what are my alternatives? Is there something in the dnsmadeeasy API offering I misunderstood and I should just use them? Is there some other similar DNS service that has a DDNS offering that satisfies my requirements? Or should I just bite the bullet and host my own DNS (my fear is not configuration/learning/know how, my fear is reliability). If you recommend the latter, can you detail the necessary steps or a link to a good tutorial how to?

• Common Table Expressions slow when using a table variable

  I have been experimenting with the following (simplified) CTE. When using a table variable () the query runs for minutes before I cancel it. Any of the other commented out methods return in less than a second. If I replace the whole WHERE clause with an INNER JOIN it is fast as well. Any ideas why using a table variable would run so slowly? FWIW: The database contains 2.5 million records and the inner query returns 2 records. • crystal reports : cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report

  I've recently come across the following error in one of my crystal reports following an accounting system update. Group #1: ? - A : This group section cannot be printed because its condition field is nonexistent or invalid. Format the section to choose another condition field. I've verified every database field being used to ensure it still exists for consistency and checked the formulas for that section. No dice. So to hopefully fix the problem, i remove the section using the Section expert. I run the same database checks. It then complains with the same error for Group #5. So i remove that as well. now I have a new and unusual error when i attempt to run 'Show Query'. the error is: "Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report" I have tried to logon/logoff the database and verify database. No complaints until i try to run, show query. When I attempt to run the report, it also throws the same error. any ideas? Am I approaching this incorrectly? this is done in crystal reports 10. note: this report is run with the sql sa user to eliminate any permission issues.

• jQuery DataTables server side processing and ASP.Net

  I'm trying to use the server side functionality of the jQuery Datatables plugin with ASP.Net. The ajax request is returning valid JSON, but nothing is showing up in the table. I originally had problems with the data I was sending in the ajax request. I was getting a "Invalid JSON primative" error. I discovered that the data needs to be in a string instead of JSON serialized, as described in this post: http://encosia.com/2008/06/05/3-mistakes-to-avoid-when-using-jquery-with-aspnet-ajax/. I wasn't quite sure how to fix that, so I tried adding this in the ajax request: "data": "{'sEcho': '" + aoData.sEcho + "'}" If the aboves eventually works I'll add the other parameters later. Right now I'm just trying to get something to show up in my table. The returning JSON looks ok and validates, but the sEcho in the post is undefined, and I think thats why no data is being loaded into the table. So, what am I doing wrong? Am I even on the right track or am I being stupid? Does anyone ran into this before or have any suggestions? • Google Datastore w/ JDO: Access Times?

  I'm hitting what appears (to me) strange behavior when I pull data from the google datastore over JDO. In particular, the query executes quickly (say 100 ms), but finding the size of the resulting List< takes about one second! Indeed, whatever operation I try to perform on the resulting list takes about a second. Has anybody seen this behavior? Is it expected? Unusual? Any way around it?   I am currently using the DevBridge jQuery Autocomplete plugin - it works fine as is, however I would like to display the returned information in a multi-column view, but yet when clicked only return the first value.   I've seen example com.example.android.apis.view.List11 from ApiDemos. In that example, each row takes the view android.R.simple_list_item_multiple_choice. Each such view has a TextView and a CheckBox. Now I want each view to have 2 TextView's and 1 CheckBox, somewhat similar to the List3 example. • Why doesn't Data Driven Subscription in SSRS 2005 like my Stored Procedure?

  I'm trying to define a Data Driven Subscription for a report in SSRS 2005. In Step 3 of the set up you're asked for: " a command or query that returns a list of recipients and optionally returns fields used to vary delivery settings and report parameter values for each recipient" This I have written and it returns the data without a hitch. I press next and it rolls onto the next screen in the set up which has all the variables to set for the DDS and in each case it has an option to "Select Value From Database" I select this radio button and press the drop down. No fields are available to me. Now the only way I could vary the number of parameters returned by the SP was to have the SP write the SQL to an nvarchar variable and then at the end execute the variable as sql. I have tested this in the Management Studio and it returns the expected fields. I even named them after the fields in SSRS but the thing won't put the field names into the dropdowns. I've even taken the query body out of the Stored Proc, verified it in SSRS and then tried that. It doesn't work either. Can anyone shed any light into what I'm doing wrong?

  The scenario is as follows, I have 3 objects (i simplified the names) named Parent, parent's child & child's child parent's child is a set in parent, and child's child is a set in child. mapping is as follows (relevant parts) parent <set name="parentset" table="pc-table" lazy="false" fetch="subselect" cascade="all-delete-orphan" inverse="true"> <key column=FK_ID_PC" on-delete="cascade"/> <one-to-many class="parentchild,parentchild-ns"/> </set> parent's child <set name="childset" table="cc-table" lazy="false" fetch="subselect" cascade="all-delete-orphan" inverse="true"> <key column="FK_ID_CC" on-delete="cascade"/> <one-to-many class="childschild,childschild-ns"/> </set> What i want to achieve is that when i delete the parent, there would be a cascade delete all the way trough to child's child. But what currently happens is this. • Google shows subdomain of main site instead of add on domain URL [closed]

  I have my host (lunarpages) set up with a few add on domains to my main account. These show up as sub-domains of my main account, but they can be reached by using the new domain I've created. So: subdomain1.domain.com -- www.mynewsite.com subdomain2.domain.com -- www.myothersite.com etc. The problem is, mynewsite.com shows up in google with that domain, but myothersite.com shows up with subdomain2.domain.com. I don't have a clue what might be causing this to happen. If anyone has an advice or can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

• Domain Controllers group not reflected in domain controllers credentials

  I set up a small testlab in vbox consisting of four servers. Two domain controllers dc01, dc02, one offline root ca and one online enterprise sub ca, ca01. All servers are based on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. Everything works as excpected except one thing. If I issue a certificate template with read, enroll and autoenroll rights to the security group "domain controllers" it does not let dc01 or dc02 to enumerate or enroll for the certificate. I've restarted both domain controllers several times to update their credential tokens with the correct group memberhips. So I added dc01 to the "domain computers" group and gave that group read, enroll and autoenroll rights in the template, bam, the certificate was issued. So my question is, why isn't the domain controllers group memberhips reflected in the domain controllers (dc01 and dc02) credentials? Can I view the computers credentials somehow and how should I go about trying to resolve the issue?
