  • UIViewTableCell didSelectRowAtIndexPath is calling but not pushing a view controller

    - by Kenneth
    Hi guys, so im having a UIViewController view with a UITableView. So the UIViewController class name is SelectionScreen. The UITableView class name is SelectionScreenTable. Picture: http://img717.imageshack.us/i/screenshot20100609atpm0.png/ I have declared a UITableView *selectionTable in SelectionScreen class and connected it to the xib file of the SelectionScreen what the problem is , is that when i click a row in the table,it stays selected as highlighted blue, it calls the didSelectRowAtIndexPath (checked with NSLog) but not pushing a new view which is called(GraphView). This is the code which i use to call the new controller WHICH WORKS with a normal button GraphView *aSelectionScreenViewController = [[GraphView alloc] initWithNibName:@"GraphView" bundle:nil]; [self presentModalViewController:aSelectionScreenViewController animated: YES]; [aSelectionScreenViewController release]; I searched around and found that I need to set a delegate for the table in the UITableView class itself on the viewload tableview.delegate = self; or self.tableview.delegate = self; But it was not working. the controller was still not being pushed, and yes i have checked the controller is not nil as i tried it with a simple button. So i was thinking whether i should set the delegate of the UITableView at the UIViewController instead, so i tried this code selectionTable.delegate = selectionTable.self; but obviously it did not work =\, it messed up the whole UITableView and caused all the cells to be its predefined settings. So does anybody have any idea on how i can get it to work.

  • Django aggregate query generating SQL error

    - by meepmeep
    I'm using Django 1.1.1 on a SQL Server 2005 db using the latest sqlserver_ado library. models.py includes: class Project(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=50) class Thing(models.Model): project = models.ForeignKey(Project) reference = models.CharField(max_length=50) class ThingMonth(models.Model): thing = models.ForeignKey(Thing) timestamp = models.DateTimeField() ThingMonthValue = models.FloatField() class Meta: db_table = u'ThingMonthSummary' In a view, I have retrieved a queryset called 'things' which contains 25 Things: things = Thing.objects.select_related().filter(project=1).order_by('reference') I then want to do an aggregate query to get the average ThingMonthValue for the first 20 of those Things for a certain period, and the same value for the last 5. For the first 20 I do: averageThingMonthValue = ThingMonth.objects.filter(turbine__in=things[:20],timestamp__range="2009-01-01 00:00","2010-03-00:00")).aggregate(Avg('ThingMonthValue'))['ThingMonthValue__avg'] This works fine, and returns the desired value. For the last 5 I do: averageThingMonthValue = ThingMonth.objects.filter(turbine__in=things[20:],timestamp__range="2009-01-01 00:00","2010-03-00:00")).aggregate(Avg('ThingMonthValue'))['ThingMonthValue__avg'] But for this I get an SQL error: 'Only one expression can be specified in the select list when the subquery is not introduced with EXISTS.' The SQL query being used by django reads: SELECT AVG([ThingMonthSummary].[ThingMonthValue]) AS [ThingMonthValue__avg] FROM [ThingMonthSummary] WHERE ([ThingMonthSummary].[thing_id] IN (SELECT _row_num, [id] FROM ( SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER ( ORDER BY [AAAA].[id] ASC) as _row_num, [AAAA].[id] FROM ( SELECT U0.[id] FROM [Thing] U0 WHERE U0.[project_id] = 1 ) AS [AAAA]) as QQQ where 20 < _row_num) AND [ThingMonthSummary].[timestamp] BETWEEN '01/01/09 00:00:00' and '03/01/10 00:00:00') Any idea why it works for one slice of the Things and not the second? I've checked and the two slices do contain the desired Things correctly.

  • Velocity framework servlet

    - by GustlyWind
    I have a module written in servlets and needs to be recently moved to velocity framework So in the process I am rewriting the web.xml to create velocity servlet object whcih calls our original servlet . Now if this has to be moved to <servlet> <servlet-name>VeloServlet</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.apache.velocity.tools.view.servlet.VelocityViewServlet</servlet-class> </servlet> How can we acheive this and what are all changes need to use the existing servlet as it is. My Existing servlet looks like <servlet-name>DataBridgeServlet</servlet-name> <servlet-class>com.jda.pwm.databridge.framework.common.DataBridgeServlet</servlet-class> <init-param> <param-name>jda.databridge.config.path</param-name> <param-value>d:/usr/databridge/conf</param-value> </init-param> This is loaded using the url http://localhost:8080/databridge/databridgeservlet So in the newer case how velocity servlet calls this servlet

  • [Java] Nested methods vs "piped" methods, which is better?

    - by Michael Mao
    Hi: Since uni, I've programming in Java for 3 years, although I am not fully dedicated to this language, I have spent quite some time in it, nevertheless. I understand both ways, just curious which style do you prefer. public class Test{ public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println(getAgent().getAgentName()); } private static Agent getAgent() { return new Agent(); }} class Agent{ private String getAgentName() { return "John Smith"; }} I am pretty happy with nested method calls such like the following public class Test{ public static void main(String[] args) { getAgentName(getAgent()); } private static void getAgentName(Agent agent) { System.out.println(agent.getName()); } private static Agent getAgent() { return new Agent(); }} class Agent { public String getName(){ return "John Smith"; }} They have identical output I saw "John Smith" twice. I wonder, if one way of doing this has better performance or other advantages over the other. Personally I prefer the latter, since for nested methods I can certainly tell which starts first, and which is after. The above code is but a sample, The code that I am working with now is much more complicated, a bit like a maze... So switching between the two styles often blows my head in no time.

  • Displaying music list using custom lists instead of array adapters

    - by Rahul Varma
    Hi, I have displayed the music list in a list view. The list is obtained from a website. I have done this using Arraylist. Now, i want to iterate the same program using custom lists and custom adapters instead of array list. The code i have written using array lists is... public class MusicListActivity extends Activity { MediaPlayer mp; File mediaFile; TextView tv; TextView albumtext; TextView artisttext; ArrayList<String> al=new ArrayList<String>(); //ArrayList<String> al=new ArrayList<String>(); ArrayList<String> node=new ArrayList<String>(); ArrayList<String> filepath=new ArrayList<String>(); ArrayList<String> imgal=new ArrayList<String>(); ArrayList<String> album=new ArrayList<String>(); ArrayList<String> artist=new ArrayList<String>(); ListView lv; Object[] webImgListObject; String[] stringArray; XMLRPCClient client; String loginsess; HashMap<?, ?> siteConn = null; //ImageView im; Bitmap img; String s; int d; int j; StreamingMediaPlayer sm; int start=0; Intent i; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.openadiuofile); lv=(ListView)findViewById(R.id.list1); al=getIntent().getStringArrayListExtra("titles"); //node=getIntent().getStringArrayListExtra("nodeid"); filepath=getIntent().getStringArrayListExtra("apath"); imgal=getIntent().getStringArrayListExtra("imgpath"); album=getIntent().getStringArrayListExtra("album"); artist=getIntent().getStringArrayListExtra("artist"); // ArrayAdapter<String> aa=new ArrayAdapter<String>(this,R.layout.row,R.id.text2,al); • Resize view on iPhone when rotating

    - by BCBomb47
    I have an application with many views. I want only a couple of the views to be able to rotate to landscape when the device is rotated. I found out that I couldn't use (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation because that would rotate every view in my app. I found a solution to this problem here on Stack Overflow but now I have another issue to deal with. The view rotates when I turn the device but it still shows the view as if it were still in portrait mode (straight up and down). The top and bottom of the view is cut off. Is there a way to have the view rotate and also adjust its size to fit the new orientation? I also found this but wasn't able to get it to work. Here's my code for that view: @implementation businessBank @synthesize webView, activityIndicator; - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; NSString *urlAddress = @"website_url"; NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:urlAddress]; NSURLRequest *requestObj = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; [webView loadRequest:requestObj]; [[UIDevice currentDevice] beginGeneratingDeviceOrientationNotifications]; [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(didRotate:) name:UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification object:nil]; } - (void)didRotate:(NSNotification *)notification { UIDeviceOrientation orientation = [[notification object] orientation]; if (orientation == UIDeviceOrientationLandscapeLeft) { [self.view setTransform:CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(M_PI / 2.0)]; } else if (orientation == UIDeviceOrientationLandscapeRight) { [self.view setTransform:CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(M_PI / -2.0)]; } else if (orientation == UIDeviceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown) { [self.view setTransform:CGAffine TransformMakeRotation(M_PI)]; } else if (orientation == UIDeviceOrientationPortrait) { [self.view setTransform:CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(0.0)]; } }

  • SIGABRT on any UIView touch

    - by bitcruncher
    Hi. I'm afraid no amount of Googling has been able to save my hyde on this. I seem to be getting SIGABRT error anytime I touch the screen of the phone, on any UIView. The debugger console posts this error before the SIGABRT: .... [310:207] *** -[UIView _exclusiveTouchView]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x14c0c0 .... [310:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[UIView _exclusiveTouchView]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x14c0c0' (this is not my specific call to _exclusiveTouchView, of course.) I would gladly post some code, but the truth is I cannot find (or guess) where this problem may be coming from. This is not happening on any ONE UIView but on all the UIViews in my stack. I can summarize the display logic, though, perhaps that will shed some light. So the application is created and a UIWindow is alloc'd. A single viewcontroller is then alloc'd, which makes and adds its own blank self.view, to which the other UIViews, representing the different game states, are attached. Interestingly enough, this error is does NOT happen on the Simulator, but happens consistently on the device. And I should also mention that the application has yet to override/use any of the touchesBegan:/Ended:/Moved: etc... In other words, this error happens without these methods in the code. I'm really not understanding where this error is coming from... Any suggestions?

  • My Thread Programs Block

    - by user315378
    I wrote a program that worked as a server. Knowing that "accept" was blocking the program. I wanted to launch a thread with this statement to prevent precisely that the program crashes, but this still happens. Can anybody help? Post code Thanks -(IBAction)Connetti{ if(switchConnessione.on){ int port = [fieldPort.text intValue]; labelStatus.text = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"Il Server è attivo"]; server_len = sizeof(server); server.sin_family = AF_INET; server.sin_port = htons((u_short)port); server.sin_addr.s_addr = INADDR_ANY; sd = socket (AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, 0); bind(sd, (struct sockaddr*)&server, sizeof(server)); listen(sd, 1); [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(startThreadAccept) toTarget:self withObject:nil]; } else { labelStatus.text = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"Server non attivo"]; switchChat.on = FALSE; switchChat.enabled = FALSE; } } -(void)startThreadAccept{ NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc]init]; [self performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(acceptConnection) withObject:nil waitUntilDone:NO]; [pool release]; } -(void)acceptConnection{ new_sd = accept(sd, (struct sockaddr*)&server, &server_len); labelStatus.text = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"Ho accettato una connessione:%d", new_sd]; switchChat.enabled = TRUE; }

  • am i returning the correct values?

    - by phill
    I wrote the following code: import java.lang.*; import DB.*; private Boolean validateInvoice(String i) { int count = 0; try { //check how many rowsets ResultSet c = connection.DBquery("select count(*) from Invce i,cust c where tranid like '"+i+"' and i.key = c.key "); while (c.next()) { System.out.println("rowcount : " + c.getInt(1)); count = c.getInt(1); } if (count > 0 ) { return TRUE; } else { return FALSE; } //end if } catch(Exception e){e.printStackTrace();return FALSE;} } The errors I'm getting are: i.java:195: cannot find symbol symbol : variable TRUE location: class changei.iTable return TRUE; i.java:197: cannot find symbol symbol : variable TRUE location: class changei.iTable return FALSE; i.java:201:: cannot find symbol symbol : variable FALSE location: class changei.iTable catch(Exception e){e.printStackTrace();return FALSE;} The Connection class comes from the DB package i created. Is the return TRUE/FALSE correct since the function is a Boolean return type?

  • How do I so a select input for a STI column in a Rails model?

    - by James A. Rosen
    I have a model with single-table inheritance on the type column: class Pet < ActiveRecord::Base TYPES = [Dog, Cat, Hamster] validates_presence_of :name end I want to offer a <select> dropdown on the new and edit pages: <% form_for @model do |f| %> <%= f.label :name %> <%= f.text_input :name %> <%= f.label :type %> <%= f.select :type, Pet::TYPES.map { |t| [t.human_name, t.to_s] } %> <% end %> That gives me the following error: ActionView::TemplateError (wrong argument type String (expected Module)) I read a suggestion to use an alias for the field #type since Ruby considers that a reserved word that's the same as #class. I tried both class Pet < ActiveRecord::Base ... alias_attribute :klass, :type end and class Pet < ActiveRecord::Base ... def klass self.type end def klass=(k) self.type = k end end Neither worked. Any suggestions? Oddly, it works fine on my machine (MRI 1.8.6 on RVM), but fails on the staging server (MRI 1.8.7 not on RVM).

  • xCode: iPhone Swipe Gesture crash

    - by David DelMonte
    I have an app that I'd like the swipe gesture to flip to a second view. The app is all set up with buttons that work. The swipe gesture though causes a crash ( “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”.). The gesture code is: - (void)handleSwipe:(UISwipeGestureRecognizer *)recognizer { NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); switch (recognizer.direction) { case (UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionRight): [self performSelector:@selector(flipper:)]; break; case (UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionLeft): [self performSelector:@selector(flipper:)]; break; default: break; } } and "flipper" looks like this: - (IBAction)flipper:(id)sender { FlashCardsAppDelegate *mainDelegate = (FlashCardsAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; [mainDelegate flipToFront]; } flipToBack (and flipToFront) look like this.. - (void)flipToBack { NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); BackViewController *theBackView = [[BackViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"BackView" bundle:nil]; [self setBackViewController:theBackView]; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0]; [UIView setAnimationTransition:UIViewAnimationTransitionFlipFromLeft forView:window cache:YES]; [frontViewController.view removeFromSuperview]; [self.window addSubview:[backViewController view]]; [UIView commitAnimations]; [frontViewController release]; frontViewController = nil; [theBackView release]; // NSLog (@" FINISHED "); } Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way... All ideas are welcome...

  • Java performance issue

    - by Colby77
    Hi, I've got a question related to java performance and method execution. In my app there are a lot of place where I have to validate some parameter, so I've written a Validator class and put all the validation methods into it. Here is an example: public class NumberValidator { public static short shortValidator(String s) throws ValidationException{ try{ short sh = Short.parseShort(s); if(sh < 1){ throw new ValidationException(); } return sh; }catch (Exception e) { throw new ValidationException("The parameter is wrong!"); } } ... But I'm thinking about that. Is this OK? It's OO and modularized, but - considering performance - is it a good idea? What if I had awful lot of invocation at the same time? The snippet above is short and fast, but there are some methods that take more time. What happens when there are a lot of calling to a static method or an instance method in the same class and the method is not synchronized? All the calling methods have to fall in line and the JVM executes them sequentially? Is it a good idea to have some class that are identical to the above-mentioned and randomly call their identical methods? I think it is not, because "Don't repeat yourself " and "Duplication is Evil" etc. But what about performance? Thanks is advance.

    I want to add a row whenever the user click on the new button.I want to clone the row "tRow0" and add it to the last row of the table "tblEquipment tbody".I wrote a JavaScript function for adding the row(AddEquipment).The problem is that the row is not getting added in the last row. clone row : tRow0 last row : tRow1 Actually the new row must added after the "tRow1" row.But the new row get added below "trActivity1_2" row.Please provide me the solution. my javascript function: function AddEquipment() { var row = jQuery('#tRow0').clone(true).show().insertAfter('#tblEquipment tbody>tr:last'); var index = document.getElementById("hdnMaxEqpId").value; jQuery("#tblEquipment tbody>tr:last").attr("id", "tRow" + index) jQuery("td:eq(0) input", row).attr("id", "chkEqp" + index); jQuery("td:eq(1) div:eq(0)", row).attr("id", "divEqpName" + index); jQuery("td:eq(1) input:eq(0)", row).attr("id", "hdnWODefEqpId" + index).attr("name", "hdnWODefEqpId" + index); jQuery("td:eq(1) input:eq(1)", row).attr("id", "hdnEquipmentId" + index).attr("name", "hdnEquipmentId" + index).attr("onpropertychange",""); jQuery("td:eq(1) input:eq(2)", row).attr("id", "txtEquipment" + index).attr("name", "txtEquipment" + index); jQuery("td:eq(1) img", row).attr("id", "imgshowEquipmentTree" + index).attr("onclick", ""); jQuery("td:eq(1) div:eq(1)", row).attr("id", "divEqpImage" + index); jQuery("td:eq(2) div", row).attr("id", "divEqpHierarchy" + index); jQuery("td:eq(3) textarea", row).attr("id", "txtEqRemarks" + index); jQuery("td:eq(4) img", row).attr("id", "imgEqAttachment" + index); } my aspx page: <table id="tblEquipment"> <thead> <tr> <th> </th> <th> Equipment</th> <th> Hierarchy</th> <th> Remarks</th> <th> Attachment</th> <th> Total Cost</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody id="tbEquipment"> <tr id="tRow0" class="trChildItem"> <td> <input id="chkEqp0" name="chkEqp0" type="checkbox" /> </td> <td> <div id="divEqpName0"> <input id="hdnWODefEqpId0" name="hdnWODefEqpId0" type="hidden" value="0" /> <input id="hdnEquipmentId0" name="hdnEquipmentId0" onpropertychange="AutoSaveEquipment(0);" type="hidden" value="0" /> <input id="txtEquipment0" class="clsSpText" name="txtEquipment0" readonly /> </div> <div id="divEqpImage0"> </div> </td> <td> <div id="divEqpHierarchy0"> &nbsp;</div> </td> <td> <textarea id="txtEqRemarks0" class="clsSpTextArea" cols="20" name="txtEqRemarks0" rows="1"></textarea> </td> <td> </td> </tr> <tr id="tActMaster0" class="trInnerChildItem"> <td> </td> <td colspan="5"> <div id="divActivitiesdetails0"> </div> </td> </tr> <tr id="tRow1" class="trChildItem"> <td> <input id="chkEqp1" runat="server" type="checkbox" /> <div id="divEqpEdit1"> </div> </td> <td> <div id="divEqpName1"> <input id="hdnWODefEqpId1" runat="server" type="hidden" value="7" /> <input id="hdnEquipmentId1" runat="server" type="hidden" value="4" /> <div id="divEqp1"> e2</div> <div id="divEqpImage1"> <a id="activiy1" onclick="HideActivities(1)"> </div> </td> <td> <div id="divEqpHierarchy1"> Equipment--&gt;e2</div> </td> <td> <div id="divEqpRemarks1"> Remarks</div> </td> <td> <div> </div> </td> <td> <div> $0.00</div> </td> </tr> <tr id="tActMaster1" class="trInnerChildItem" jquery1275984958765="3"> <td> </td> <td colspan="5"> <div id="divActivitiesdetails1"> <div id="divActivityMaster"> <table> <thead> <tr> <th> <a onclick="ActivityPopUp(0,1)"> </a></th> <th> Activity</th> <th> Description</th> <th> Duration</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody id="tbActivity"> <tr id="trActivity1_1" class="trChildItem" ondblclick="ActivityPopUp(3,1)" onmouseleave="HideActEditDiv('1_1')" onmouseover="ShowActEditDiv('1_1',7,1)"> <td> <div id="divActEdit1_1"> </div> </td> <td> <input id="hdnDefActivityId1_1" runat="server" type="hidden" value="33333" /> <div id="divActivityName1_1"> Act1</div> </td> <td> <div id="divActivityDesc1_1"> Ac1</div> </td> <td> <div id="divActivityDuration1_1"> 1&nbsp;Day</div> </td> </tr> <tr id="trActivity1_2" class="trChildItem" ondblclick="ActivityPopUp(3,1)" onmouseleave="HideActEditDiv('1_2')" onmouseover="ShowActEditDiv('1_2',7,1)"> <td> <div id="divActEdit1_2"> </div> </td> <td> <input id="hdnDefActivityId1_2" runat="server" type="hidden" value="4" /> <div id="divActivityName1_2"> Act2</div> </td> <td> <div id="divActivityDesc1_2"> Act2Desc</div> </td> <td> <div id="divActivityDuration1_2"> 1&nbsp;Day</div> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> </div> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

  • NHibernate stored procedure problem

    - by Calvin
    I'm having a hard time trying to get my stored procedure works with NHibernate. The data returned from the SP does not correspond to any database table. This is my mapping file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" assembly="DomainModel" namespace="DomainModel.Entities"> <sql-query name="DoSomething"> <return class="SomeClass"> <return-property name="ID" column="ID"/> </return> exec [dbo].[sp_doSomething] </sql-query> </hibernate-mapping> Here is my domain class: namespace DomainModel.Entities { public class SomeClass { public SomeClass() { } public virtual Guid ID { get; set; } } } When I run the code, it fails with Exception Details: NHibernate.HibernateException: Errors in named queries: {DoSomething} at line 80 Line 78: config.Configure(Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "NHibernate.config")); Line 79: Line 80: g_sessionFactory = config.BuildSessionFactory(); When I debug into NHibernate code, it seems that SomeClass is not added to the persister dictionary because there isn't a class mapping (only sql-query) defined in hbm.xml. And later on in CheckNamedQueries function, it is not able to find the persistor for SomeClass. I've checked all the obvious things (e.g. make hbm as an embedded resource) and my code isn't too much different from other samples I found on the web, but somehow I just can't get it working. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?

  • css block links and images

  • Using Pylint with Django

    - by rcreswick
    I would very much like to integrate pylint into the build process for my python projects, but I have run into one show-stopper: One of the error types that I find extremely useful--:E1101: *%s %r has no %r member*--constantly reports errors when using common django fields, for example: E1101:125:get_user_tags: Class 'Tag' has no 'objects' member which is caused by this code: def get_user_tags(username): """ Gets all the tags that username has used. Returns a query set. """ return Tag.objects.filter( ## This line triggers the error. tagownership__users__username__exact=username).distinct() # Here is the Tag class, models.Model is provided by Django: class Tag(models.Model): """ Model for user-defined strings that help categorize Events on on a per-user basis. """ name = models.CharField(max_length=500, null=False, unique=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.name How can I tune Pylint to properly take fields such as objects into account? (I've also looked into the Django source, and I have been unable to find the implementation of objects, so I suspect it is not "just" a class field. On the other hand, I'm fairly new to python, so I may very well have overlooked something.) Edit: The only way I've found to tell pylint to not warn about these warnings is by blocking all errors of the type (E1101) which is not an acceptable solution, since that is (in my opinion) an extremely useful error. If there is another way, without augmenting the pylint source, please point me to specifics :) See here for a summary of the problems I've had with pychecker and pyflakes -- they've proven to be far to unstable for general use. (In pychecker's case, the crashes originated in the pychecker code -- not source it was loading/invoking.)

  • jQuery UI slider coming out looking wierd

    - by jondavidjohn
    http://cl.ly/2W1V3s0G2G3y3D133I3U <--screenshot of rendered slider It acts normally by clicking the inner whitespace of the slider and dragging, values act accordingly, but the handles do not move and fill the area, and the line at the top grows/shrinks with the difference of the two values. Here is the code I am using to initiate the slider. $('.sliderific').each(function(){ alert($(this).attr('id')); $(this).slider({ range: true, min: 0, max: 500, values: [ 75, 300 ], slide: function( event, ui ) { $(this).nextAll('.left:first').text(ui.values[ 0 ]); $(this).nextAll('.right:first').text(ui.values[ 1 ]); } }); }); and here is the DOM it's being applied to... <div class="white notwide"> <div id="price-slider" class="sliderific"></div> <span class="em small gray left center">Min Price</span> <span class="em small gray right center">Max Price </span> </div> EDIT : Also, I have verified I am including the proper css and the jquery theme images are connecting and being loaded.

  • belongs_to with multiple models

    - by julie p
    Hi there! I am a Rails noob and have a question. I have a feed aggregator that is organized by this general concept: Feed Category (books, electronics, etc) Feed Site Section (home page, books page, etc) Feed (the feed itself) Feed Entry So: class Category < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :feeds has_many :feed_entries, :through => :feeds, :limit => 5 validates_presence_of :name attr_accessible :name, :id end class Section < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :feeds has_many :feed_entries, :through => :feeds, :limit => 5 attr_accessible :name, :id end class Feed < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :categories belongs_to :sections has_many :feed_entries validates_presence_of :name, :feed_url attr_accessible :name, :feed_url, :category_id, :section_id end class FeedEntry < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :feed belongs_to :category belongs_to :section validates_presence_of :title, :url end Make sense? Now, in my index page, I want to basically say... If you are in the Category Books, on the Home Page Section, give me the feed entries grouped by Feed... In my controller: def index @section = Section.find_by_name("Home Page") @books = Category.find_by_name("Books") end In my view: <%= render :partial => 'feed_list', :locals => {:feed_group => @books.feeds} -%> This partial will spit out the markup for each feed entry in the @books collection of Feeds. Now what I need to do is somehow combine the @books with the @section... I tried this: <%= render :partial => 'feed_list', :locals => {:feed_group => @books.feeds(:section_id => @section.id)} -%> But it isn't limiting by the section ID. I've confirmed the section ID by using the same code in the console... Make sense? Any advice? Thanks!

  • Binder and variadic template ends up in a segmentation fault

    - by phlipsy
    I wrote the following program #include <iostream> template<typename C, typename Res, typename... Args> class bind_class_t { private: Res (C::*f)(Args...); C *c; public: bind_class_t(Res (C::*f)(Args...), C* c) : f(f), c(c) { } Res operator() (Args... args) { return (c->*f)(args...); } }; template<typename C, typename Res, typename... Args> bind_class_t<C, Res, Args...> bind_class(Res (C::*f)(Args...), C* c) { return bind_class<C, Res, Args...>(f, c); } class test { public: int add(int x, int y) { return x + y; } }; int main() { test t; // bind_class_t<test, int, int, int> b(&test::add, &t); bind_class_t<test, int, int, int> b = bind_class(&test::add, &t); std::cout << b(1, 2) << std::endl; return 0; } compiled it with gcc 4.3.3 and got a segmentation fault. After spending some time with gdb and this program it seems to me that the addresses of the function and the class are mixed up and a call of the data address of the class isn't allowed. Moreover if I use the commented line instead everything works fine. Can anyone else reproduce this behavior and/or explain me what's going wrong here?

  • Module based web project directory layout with git and symlinks

    - by karlthorwald
    I am planning my directory structure for a linux/apache/php web project like this: Only www.example.com/webroot/ will be exposed in apache www.example.com/ webroot/ index.php module1/ module2/ modules/ module1/ module1.class.php module1.js module2/ module2.class.php module2.css lib/ lib1/ lib1.class.php the modules/ and lib/ directory will only be in the php path. To make the css and js files visible in the webroot directory I am planning to use symlinks. webroot/ index.php module1/ module1.js (symlinked) module2/ module2.css (symlinked) I tried following these principles: layout by modules and libraries, not by file type and not by "public' or 'non public', index.php is an exception. This is for easier development. symlinking files that need to be public for the modules and libs to a public location, but still mirroring the layout. So the module structure is also visible in the resulting html code in the links, which might help development. How will git handle the symlinking of the single files correctly, is there something to consider? When it comes to images I will need to link directories, how to handle that with git? modules/ module3/ module3.class.php img/ img1.jpg img2.jpg img3.jpg They should be linked here: webroot/ module3/ img/ (symlinked ?) So this is a git and symlink question. But I would be interested to hear comments about the php layout, maybe you want to use the comment function for this.

  • Absolutely positioned div on right causing scrollbar when the left doesn't

    - by Michael Snyder
    I'm trying to "flank" a centered div with some design elements that are absolutely positioned outside the main div's width. I'm getting a scroll bar due to the element on the right, but not the element on the left (IE6/7/8, Chrome, Firefox). How can I get rid of that horizontal scrollbar? <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> html, body { height: 100%; width: 100%; margin: 0; } body { text-align: center; } .wrapper { margin: 0 auto; position: relative; width: 960px; z-index: 0; } .main { background: #900; height: 700px; } .right, .left { position: absolute; height: 100px; width: 100px; } .right { background: #090; top: 0px; left: 960px; z-index: 1; } .left { background: #009; top: 0px; left: -100px; z-index: 1; } </style> </head> <body> <div class="wrapper"> <div class="main"></div> <div class="left"></div> <div class="right"></div> </div> </body> </html>
