    I am using maven appassembler to create my assembly. My classpath is too long and I get "The input line is too long." The suggestion here is to use booter windows platform, but I'm constrained to use Java Service Wrapper. Any way I can use java6 wildcarded classpath and java service wrapper?

  • Eclipse Plugin project with other project dependencies

    I have an Eclipse plugin project, and it depends on other projects that I have in my Eclipse workspace. After adding the project dependencies under "Java Build Path" - "Projects" tab, and also selecting the project in the "Order and Export" I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError. I'm assuming that the other projects have not been properly included into the plugin. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, James

    I have netbeans 6.8 with java ME platform setup on my ubuntu 9.10. My code requires the package org.netbeans.microedition.lcdui which is either not installed or not in the path. Surprising this runs perfectly in netbeans 6.8 on windows on my friend's pc. Is there any java ME plugin I need to install? Can somebody help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

    I was planning to use db4o for a website. It's a microblog site with small posts and comments developed in java. The thing is I contacted db4o support asking if db4o would be suitable for a website, and they answered me that only for websites with low concurrency. That means with few requests? So, now I think db4o will not be a good choice. Do you know if there is any object database for java suitable for a website?

My code compiles fine, but running the jar leads to the following error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.SecurityException: Invalid signature file digest for Manifest main attributes I've googled for over an hour searching for an explanation and found very little of value.     I'm trying to use the java machine learning library MOA to train on a training data stream, then predict classes for a test data stream. The first part works fine, using (for example) java -cp .:moa.jar:weka.jar -javaagent:sizeofag.jar moa.DoTask "LearnModel -l MajorityClass -s (ArffFileStream -f atrain.arff -c -1) -O amodel.moa" But then I cannot figure out how to use the trained model (amodel.moa) on another stream (atest.arff) to predict the classes. Has anyone done this before?

  • Installing jdk without sudo?

    Currently, I have a machine on which I am working in Eclipse, it says that the JRE System Library version is sun-jdk-1.5.0.11 but on my active development machine, it is java-6-sun-1.6.0.16. What is the difference between these two (of course, besides the versioning)? Is there any way I can make the first machine to use the same "java-6-sun-1.6.0.16" version without having sudo permissions on the machine?

    I understand that double locking in Java is broken, so what are the best ways to make Singletons Thread Safe in Java?
