  • foswiki: hide some topic info when editing in WYSWYG mode.

    I have a FOSWiki installation with a bunch of Topic templates already defined. the problem is, when a user selects the topic, they are presented with a bunch of extra information that they should not edit, and should not even see really. Is there a way to hide this content in the WYSWYG editor?     Hi, I have setup a kannel SMS gateway on my FreeBSD 7.2 - the service works great. I'm now trying to setup a email2sms feature. For this i have created a system user called kannel and all mails are forwarded to this user. It then do a http request to the SMS gateway. The php-script works.   • HTTP Error: 413 Request Entity Too Large

    What I have: I have an iPhone app that sends HTTP POST requests (XML format) to a web service written in PHP. This is on a hosted virtual private server so I can edit httpd.conf and other files on the server, and restart Apache. The problem: The web service works perfectly as long as the request is not too large, but around 1MB is the limit. After that, the server responds with: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>413 Request Entity Too Large</title> </head><body> <h1>Request Entity Too Large</h1> The requested resource<br />/<br /> does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit. </body></html> The web service writes its own log file, and I can see that small messages are processed fine. Larger messages are not logged at all so I guess that something in Apache rejects them before they even reach the web service? Things I've tried without success: (I've restarted Apache after every change. These steps are incremental.) hosting provider's web-based configuration panel: disable mod_security httpd.conf: LimitXMLRequestBody 0 and LimitRequestBody 0 httpd.conf: LimitXMLRequestBody 100000000 and LimitRequestBody 100000000 httpd.conf: SecRequestBodyLimit 100000000 At this stage, Apache's error.log contains a message: ModSecurity: Request body no files data length is larger than the configured limit (1048576) It looks like my step #4 didn't really take, which is consistent with step #1 but does not explain why mod_security appears to be active after all. What more can I try, to get the web service to receive large messages?

  • Exchange 2003 automatically converts text/plain emails to text/html for IMAP retrieval

    When accessing an Exchange 2003 server via IMAP, emails that were sent as text/plain (and ones that had no MIME encoding specified at all) get automatically converted to multipart/alternative with the original text/plain body and a text/html body. This is … stupid. It doesn't even bother to specify a monospaced font.   • VT-x not enabled on 2010 Mac Pro

    To start I had a Hackintosh as per the instructions from Lifehacker.com before and moved everything to a new 2010 8 Core Mac Pro. I opted for a restore from the time machine backup rather than using the migration assistance. I believe this may have caused more problems but one in particular is the lack of VT-x support. When I checked Parallels Desktop under "Host Hardware" information, I get the following that shows that VT-x isn't enabled. <Cpu dyn_lists=""> <Number>16</Number> <Model>Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz</Model> <Mode>1</Mode> <Speed>2400</Speed> <VtxEnabled>0</VtxEnabled> <VtxMode>1</VtxMode> 1) Does Parallels Desktop support using VT-x? 2) Does this setting show that my VT-x isn't enabled? 3) Is there a way of fixing it so that it is enabled? 4) Is there a way of using my Time Machine backup as if I'm doing a restore using migration assistance and just restore the files and settings?

    I am planning on using an unattend.xml to create a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit setup with Users and ProgramData on a 2nd drive. I have found many samples of how to do this (see below). However I would also like to move Program Files to a 3rd drive as well. i.e.: C:\Windows [SSD] D:\Users [HDD1] D:\ProgramData [HDD1] P:\Program Files [HDD2] P:\Program Files (x86) [HDD2] I have found that this was possible using unattend.txt in XP but all documentation or examples I find about Win 7 only mention Users and ProgramData, not Program Files. Is this possible using an answer file? The configuration looks like this: <systemUsage> <systemUsage> <memoryUsage> <memoryUsage limit="512mb"/> </memoryUsage> <storeUsage> <storeUsage limit="3 gb"/> </storeUsage> <tempUsage> <tempUsage limit="1 gb"/> </tempUsage> </systemUsage> </systemUsage> After cleaning up the log files and being way below the limits, still no messages were consumed by AMQ. Only when we manually purged a route, messages were starting to be delivered again. So we need to ensure, that the KahaDB log size always stays below the temp usage, right? And that delivery was not picked up after fixing that is a bug or are there any other steps to be taken?

  • Securing smtp with login

    I have a ispconfig server, and it seems that someone is using it to send spam. I got about 130 "Mail Delivery System" email about declined send email. This spammer uses my email address as sent from adress, so I get all these email adresses to my mail. I am using Postfix and Courier. I installed my server according to this guide: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-lenny-ispconfig3-p3 I did this a few months ago. My question: Can I secure my server to require login to be able to send email, and if so... how? Thanks!   • Incorrect gzipping of http requests, can't find who's doing it

    We're seeing some very strange mangling of HTTP responses, and we can't figure out what is doing it. We have an app server handling JSON requests. Occasionally, the response is returned gzipped, but with incorrect headers that prevent the browser from interpreting it correctly. The problem is intermittent, and changes behavior over time. Yesterday morning it seemed to fail 50% of the time, and in fact, seemed tied to one of our two load-balanced servers. Later in the afternoon, it was failing only 20 times out of 1000, and didn't correlate with an app server. The two app servers are running Apache 2.2 with mod_wsgi and a Django app stack. They have identical Apache configs and source trees, and even identical packages installed on Red Hat. There's a hardware load balancer in front, I don't know the make or model. Akamai is also part of the food chain, though we removed Akamai and still had the problem. So they see an identity encoding header, and gzipped content, so they can't interpret the response. The bad response has an extra "X-N: S" header. Perhaps if I could find out what intermediary adds "X-N: S" headers to responses, I could track down the culprit...

  • ls hangs for a certain directory

    There is a particular directory (/var/www), that when I run ls (with or without some options), the command hangs and never completes. There is only about 10-15 files and directories in /var/www. Mostly just text files. Here is some investigative info: [me@server www]$ df . Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg_dev-lv_root 50G 19G 29G 40% / [me@server www]$ df -i . What else should I do to investigate this problem? It just randomly started happening today. UPDATE dmesg is a big list of things, mostly related to an external USB HDD that I've mounted too many times and the max mount count has been reached, but that is an un-related problem I think. Near the bottom of dmesg I'm seeing this: INFO: task ls:23579 blocked for more than 120 seconds.   • Why am I getting a 403 error on a POST to a PHP script?

    Background I want to allow my users to submit a crash report which will get emailed to me. I'm using UKCrashReporter with the bundled PHP script I've modified. This code does a POST to a specified URL along with the crash report. I'm on a shared server running Linux. My main domain is synapticmishap.co.uk. The Problem When I send the crash report off, on the Cocoa side, it reports as having sent it successfully, but I don't receive an email. The code has been used in lots of other well established Cocoa projects and it was working for me a few months ago. That leads me to conclude that the problems are related to my web server setup, something I know almost nothing about. I've tried removing the deny entries from the section of .htaccess at various levels starting with root. I've downloaded the URLParams plugin for Firefox which allows you to simulate POSTs. I put in the URL above and tried a post with "crashlog" as the parameter and "test" as the value. This generated a 200 log entry in my log file - it seemed to work, although no mail message was sent.   • All my sites are 403 but the server is running. Errors on startup

    We gave access to a contractor to install a firewall and somehow while he was doing it he fracked something up. Everything went off-line about 24 hours ago and we are effectively out of business until I solve this and the person who messed up the thing is not returning calls. I found a few errors. First, I'm not a server guy - I can look at log files and normally everything runs fine. All 'services' are running according to 1and1 server monitoring and mail is being delivered just fine. The whole thing was off-line until I (probably stupidly) updated the kernel from 6.2 to 6.3 this morning and I got everything back except the http access. All the domains (~200 of them) are returning a 403 error and nothing is recorded in the access log.     Hi, I have several movies that are played and presented using this code. As you can see I also have removed the default movie controls and have added a custom overlay which essentially just stops the video. Here is my problem... When I stop the movie with my custom overlay button, I don't seem to be getting the 'MPMoviePlayerPlaybackDidFinishNotification' Note: everything works normal if I let the movie play through and it stop by itself.   • MPMoviePlayerController - streaming works on 3GS, not on anything pre-3GS

    I am having some serious issues and annoyances with MPMoviePlayerController. In my app you can watch trailers for some movies in .mov format. I have tested with a friend and had users report that it does not work on their device, which are all 3G. I have tested on my own, a 3GS and playback works fine. I have tried on a 1st gen iPhone and it doesn't work. So I am lead to believe it's a memory issue, and that it's simply stopping the playback and returning to the previous screen. Below is the code I use to launch the player, which is straight out of the MoviePlayer example from Apple. MPMoviePlayerController *mp = [[MPMoviePlayerController alloc] initWithContentURL:[NSURL URLWithString:trailerURL]]; if (mp) { self.moviePlayer = mp; [mp release]; [self.moviePlayer play]; } I have tried to check the NSError from the notifications, but the only thing I get is "An unknown playback error occurred" for both the localizedDescription and localizedRecoverySuggestion, making it impossible to figure out exactly why it's not working. I have seen many examples of people who just have issues with the movie player, but it's starting to annoy me that it sometimes seem to work fine and other times it just doesn't (again, appearing like a memory issue).     Hello guys! I'm having a problem when setting the visibility of two image buttons one on top of the other. The idea is to implement a play/pause control. The problem is that the only part where setting the visibility actually works is in the click listeners of the buttons. If I try to change it somewhere else nothing happens.   • Application lifecycle and onCreate method in the the android sdk

    I slapped together a simple test application that has a button, and makes a noise when the user clicks on it. I can click on the button whenever, and it makes the sound. I might think it was just a property of listeners, but the Button object wasn't a member variable. I thought that Android would just go through onCreate onse, and proceed onto the next lifecycle method. Also, I know that my current way of seeing if the sound is playing is crap...I'll get to that later. :) Thank you.

The query in Linq to LLBGen works, but when I trace the query which is send to sql server it is far from perfect.
