  • distinction between using .text and .value in VBA access

    i am passing the textbox1.text values into a query and sometimes into a string sometimes i say this: dim combor1 as string combor1 = comboReason1.Text how do i know when i should put combor1=comboreason1.value ?? also why do i need to set focus for a control to reference its property? that doesn't make sense to me also when i set combor4 = comboReason4.Value and the .value is null, then i get an error about invalid use of null please help!

    I'm working with a CMS system where I cannot control database column names. And I've got two related tables: Table: content +------------+----------+----------+----------+----------+ | content_id | column_1 | column_2 | column_3 | column_4 | +------------+----------+----------+----------+----------+ | 1 | stuff | junk | text | info | | 2 | trash | blah | what | bio | +------------+----------+----------+----------+----------+ Table: column_names +------------+-------------+ | column_id | column_name | +------------+-------------+ | 1 | good_text | | 2 | bad_text | | 3 | blue_text | | 4 | red_text | +------------+-------------+ What I'd like to do here is select from the first table, but select the columns AS the column_name from the second table.   • Present a default window layout on startup in Windows 7

    Hello, I have a Win7 PC in use as part of an experiment control system. The experiment in question uses 4 windows simultaneously, and I would like to find away to open, position and size these 4 windows with a script. The script would run at start up, so that the newly booted PC presents the user with the four windows as default. Obviously I can use a batch file in the startup folder to open windows and run applications, but is there a way to specify the layout of these windows? Many thanks Si

    Hi, I'm looking at market stats here for sdk distribution: http://developer.android.com/resources/dashboard/platform-versions.html saying that 31% of marketplace users are still running 1.5. Is it true that an OS update went out for G1 and myTouch users? I'm wondering why so many people are still running 1.5 if so? Just curious because I'd like to use th setView() method introduced in 1.6 for TabSpec, but not if so many people are still using 1.5, I might have to roll my own control, Thanks

  • SharePoint: Why is the Page property in my web part null?

    I am trying to include an Image control within my web part. In EnsureChildControls I have the following code: Image image = new Image(); image.ImageUrl = this.Page.ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl(this.GetType(), "hotline.jpg"); I get a NullPointer exception and this is because 'Page' is null. Why might this be? Am I doing this all wrong anyway?

Now i want to add another feature, forgot password which after performing its business must call the Login.action so that the user need not have to Login explicitly. what should i code and where so that as soon as the ForgotPassword.action finishes its work it passes control to Login.action.
