• Has anyone used Ant4Eclipse with Project Lombok?

  Has anyone successfully used Ant4Eclipse (http://www.ant4eclipse.org/) in combination with Project Lombok (http://projectlombok.org/)? Lombok provides annotations for removing boilerplate code; however, it doesn't appear to play nicely with Ant4Eclipse (headless compilation of Eclipse projects). For instance, the following Lombok sample compiles fine in Eclipse and javac: import lombok.Getter; public class LombokTest { private @Getter String foo; public LombokTest() { String s = this.getFoo(); } } But compiling with Ant4Eclipse's <buildJdtProject> yields the following: [javac] Compiling 1 source file [javac] ---------- [javac] 1. • In asp.Net, writing code in the control tag generates compile error

  Hi this is really strange !! But look at the following asp code: <div runat="server" id="MainDiv"> <%foreach (string str in new string[]{"First#", "Second#"}) { %> <div id="<%=str.Replace("#","div") %>"> </div> <%} %> </div> now if you put this code inside any web page (and don't worry about the moral of this code, I made it just to show the idea) you'll get this error : Compiler Error Message: CS1518: Expected class, delegate, enum, interface, or struct Of course the error has nothing to do with the real problem, I searched for the code that was generated by asp.net and figured out the following : private void @__RenderMainDiv(System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter @__w, System.Web.UI.Control parameterContainer) { @__w.Write("\r\n "); #line 20 "blabla\blabla\Default.aspx" foreach (string str in new string[] { "First#", "Second#" }) { #line default #line hidden @__w.Write("\r\n <div id=\""); #line 22 "blabla\blabla\Default.aspx" @__w.Write(str.Replace("#", "div")); #line default #line hidden @__w.Write("\">\r\n "); } This is the code that was generated from the asp page and this is the method that is meant to render our div (MainDiv), I found out that there is a missing bracket "}" that closes the method or the (for loop). now the problem has three parts: 1- first you should have a server control (in our situation is the MainDiv) and I'm not sure if it is only the div tag. 2- HTML control inside the server control and a code inside it using the double quotation mark ( for example <div id="<%=str instead of <div id='<%=str. 3-Any keyword which has block brackets e.g.:for{},while{},using{}...etc. now removing any part, will solve the problem !!! how is this happening ?? any ideas ? BTW: please help me to make the question more obvious, because I couldn't find the best words to describe the problem.

  A bit of a Ruby newbie here - should be an easy question: I want to use the encrypted_strings gem to create a password encrypted string: (from http://rdoc.info/projects/pluginaweek/encrypted_strings) Question is: Everything works fine, but how come I don't need the password to decrypt the string? Say I want to store the string somewhere for a while,like the session. Is the password also stored with it? (which would seem very strange?). And no, I'm not planning on using 'secret-key' or any similar hack as a password. I am planning on dynamically generating a class variable @@password using a uuid, which I don't store other than in memory, and can change from one running of the program to the next.   I'm building an application which uses AutoFac 2 for DI. I've been reading that using a static IoCHelper (Service Locator) should be avoided. Continuing down this path, I'm curious if I can completely eliminate my IoCHelper. Here is the scenario: I have a static Settings class that serves as a wrapper around my configuration implementation. Since the Settings class is a dependency to a majority of my other classes, the wrapper keeps me from having to inject the settings class all over my application.   Lets say I have 2 extension methods to string, in 2 different namespaces: namespace test1 { public static class MyExtensions { public static int TestMethod(this String str) { return 1; } } } namespace test2 { public static class MyExtensions2 { public static int TestMethod(this String str) { return 2; } } } These methods are just for example, they don't really do anything. Now lets consider this piece of code: using System; using test1; using test2; namespace blah { public static class Blah { public Blah() { string a = "test"; int i = a.TestMethod(); //Which one is chosen ? } } } I know that only one of the extension methods will be chosen. Which one will it be ? and why ? How can I choose a certain method from a certain namespace ? Edit: Usually I'd use Namespace.ClassNAME.Method() ... But that just beats the whole idea of extension methods. And I don't think you can use Variable.Namespace.Method()

  So, I've been working on this project for a few days now, and have been unable to resolve the issue of getting intellisense support for my custom-defined inner properties for a user control (ascx, mind you). I have seen the solution to this (using server controls, .cs mind you) many times. Spelled out in this article very well. Everything works for me while using ascx controls except intellisense.   Im trying to use xml to parse a .COLLADA file. The problem is I can't seem to use xpath() to access elements if the root tag has a xmlns attribute. Otherwise, if the type of the operand with signed integer type can represent all of the values of the type of the operand with unsigned integer type, then the operand with unsigned integer type is converted to the type of the operand with signed integer type. Otherwise, both operands are converted to the unsigned integer type corresponding to the type of the operand with signed integer type. For the bolded rule to be applied it would seem to imply you need to have have an unsigned interger type who's rank is less than the signed integer type and the signed integer type cannot hold all the values of the unsigned integer type. Is there a real world example of such a case or is this statement serving as a catch-all to cover all possible permutations?

  I am trying to create a generic class to write and read Objects to/from file.   I am writing a c# app and want to output error messages to either the console or a messagebox (Depending on the app type: enum AppTypeChoice { Console, Windows } ), and also control wether the app keeps running or not ( bool StopOnError ). I came up with this method that will check all the criteria, but I'm getting an "unreachable code detected" warning. I can't see why!   I have several views written in NHaml that I would like to render as encoded html. Here's one. %table.data %thead %tr %th Country Name %th ISO 2 %th ISO 3 %th ISO # %tbody - foreach(var c in ViewData.Model.Countries) %tr %td =c.Name %td =c.Alpha2 %td =c.Alpha3 %td =c.Number I know that NHaml provides syntax to Html encode the output for given lines using &=. However, in order to encode the entire view, I would essentially lose the benefit of writing my view in NHaml since it would have to look like this.... &= "<table class='data'> &= " <thead> So I was wondering if there was any cool way to be able to capture the rendered view as a string, then to html encode that string. Maybe something like the following??? public ContentResult HtmlTable(string format) { var m = new CountryViewModel(); m.Countries = _countryService.GetAll(); // Somehow render the view and store it as a string? // Not sure how to achieve this. var viewHtml = View("HtmlTable", m); // ??? return Content(viewHtml); } This question may actually have no particular relevance to the View engine that I am using I guess.   I have a bunch of domain entities that can be keyword tagged (a Tag is also an entity.) I want to do a normal many-to-many (Tag - TagReview <- Review) table relationship but I don't want to have to create a new concrete relationship on both the Entity and Tag every single time I add a new entity. I was hoping to do a generic based Tag and do this: // Tag public class Tag<T> { public virtual int Id { get; private set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual IList<T> Entities { get; set; } public Tag() { Entities = new List<T>(); } } // Review public class Review { public virtual string Id { get; private set; } public virtual string Title { get; set; } public virtual string Content { get; set; } public virtual IList<Tag<Review>> Tags { get; set; } public Review() { Tags = new List<Tag<Review>>(); } } Unfortunately I get an exception: ----> System.ArgumentException : Cannot create an instance of FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoMapping`1[Example.Entities.Tag`1[T]] because Type.ContainsGenericParameters is true. I anticipate there will be maybe 5-10 entities so mapping normally would be ok but is there a way to do something like this?

  Hi I was following the method for asynchronously loading images into a listview as outlined in evan charlton's blog here. Looking into the docs it says: First, if a SimpleAdapter.ViewBinder is available, setViewValue(android.view.View, Object, String) is invoked. If the returned value is true, binding has occured. If the returned value is false and the view to bind is a TextView, setViewText(TextView, String) is invoked. If the returned value is false and the view to bind is an ImageView, setViewImage(ImageView, int) or setViewImage(ImageView, String) is invoked. If no appropriate binding can be found, an IllegalStateException is thrown. I don't really understand how to debug (in eclipse) to find out how this process is occuring, advice on how to do so would be a help. Thanks.

Is there any way to change my script or add an catch all to the web.config that forwards the URL to my script? When I use "http://subdomain.domain.com/weblog/year/month/what-ever-article.html" in oldURL string, then the redirect works just fine... so I must have some IIS or web.config settings wrong.
