    I am trying to install VisualSVN to manage my code with other users. In the middle of the installation I have a window saying "Change if necessary installation path and initial VisualSVN Server setting". And after that (in the same window) I have two fields: "Location" and "Repositories". What these two parameters mean? I know URL where the common code is stored. Should I specify this URL in the "repositories" field?

  • Edit very large xml files in c#

    Hi I would like to create a text box which loads xml files and let users edit them. However, I cannot use XmlDocument to load since the files can be very large. I am looking for options to stream/load the xml document in chunks so that I do not get out of memory errors -- at the same time, performance is important too.     Hi I'm trying to give my users the functionality to change what the background image used on a page is. The list of background images will be a small number that won't really change. I thought I could add a few Taxonomy terms...one for each background type...then apply a class to the body tag when the page is viewed. Imagine the following scenario on every page-load on a noobily set up MySQL db: UPDATE stats SET visits = (visits+1) If a thousand users load the page at same time, will the count screw up? is this that table locking/row locking crap? Which one mysql use.

    I have the following transaction: SQL inserts a 1 new record into a table called tbl_document SQL deletes all records matching a criteria in another table called tbl_attachment SQL inserts multiple records into the tbl_attachment Until this transaction finishes, I don't want others users to be aware of the (1) new records in tbl_document, (2) deleted records in tbl_attachment, and (3) modified records in tbl_attachment. Would Read Committed Isolation be the correct isolation level?

    Does the original data type of the username string in a call to FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(...) make any difference with regards to security or code maintainability? As I understand it, the cookie is encrypted and used to identify a user on each request. I'm curious whether it should affect the design of the primary key on my Users table in my database, eg. Guid vs int or a unique username string.

    I am using Django built in view for user login: url(r'^user/login/$', 'django.contrib.auth.views.login', {'template_name': 'users/templates/login.html'}, name='user-login'), After login when I goto user/login again I can login second time. I submit the form and getting: The current URL, accounts/profile/, didn't match any of these. I haven't declare this url in urls.py. What I am doing wrong? Why framework want to redirect to this url?

I was wondering if it is possible to download the same using a tracker, the major challenge is authentication of the users IMO.
