    Hi I was wondering if there is any jquery function around which can take this dateTime "2010-10-18 10:06" and convert and split it returning "2010/10/18" and "10:06". It would be also nice if the same function could either receive "2010-10-18 10:06" or "2010-10-18" only and return as mentioned above, or different formats besides "2010/10/18" like 18-10-2010" or and 18th of October 2010, giving the option but not that important, just curious about jQuery power dealing with dates.   • Convert PPT to PNG via python

    I want to convert PPT to png, or other image formats using Python. This question has been asked on SO, but essentially recommends running OpenOffice in headless X server, which was an absolute pain last time I used it. (Mostly due to hard to replicate bugs due to OO crashing.) Is there any other way, (Hopefully using Linux CLI utilities only, and pure Python above them?)

    I can't find a css formatter (web based or Windows app) which formats the css where it puts the open brace on its own line aligned with its close brace, plus indents the attributes. The web based css formatters out here seem to be based on CSSTidy which doesn't do what I want. I don't like this CSSTidy format: .example { font-size: 3em; } I want: .example { font-size: 3em; }

  • Ruby zlib deflate massive data

    I'm trying to use Zlib::Deflate.deflate on a massive file (4 gigs). There are obvious problems with doing that, the first of which being that I can't load the entire file into memory all at once. Zlib::GzipWriter would work, since it works with streams, but it's not zlib compression. Any ideas?

I am using javasound and have an AudioInputStream of format PCM_SIGNED 8000.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, 4 bytes/frame, little-endian Using AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(target_format, original_stream) produces an 'IllegalArgumentException: Unsupported Conversion' when the target_format is PCM_SIGNED 8000.0 Hz, 16 bit, mono, 2 bytes/frame, little-endian Is it possible to convert this stream manually after every read() call? And if yes, how? In general, how can you compare two formats and tell if a conversion is possible?

  • Simulate Photoshop's saturation changes in Imagemagick

    In Photoshop you can adjust the hue, saturation and lightness of an image with three sliders. ImageMagick you can modulate the brightness, saturation, and hue. Minimizing the saturation correctly produces a black and white image in both programs. Maxing out the saturation appears close, but ImageMagick appears to soften some of the blown out edges while Photoshop will expose more the the compression artifacts. How can I accurately reproduce Photoshop's saturation changes from within ImageMagick, or other command line tool.

So I set up my respond_to block: respond_to do |format| format.markdown { render :text => @post.body.to_s } end But when I try to access /posts/1234.markdown, I get this error: NameError (uninitialized constant Mime::MARKDOWN): app/controllers/posts_controller.rb:96:in `show' app/controllers/posts_controller.rb:79:in `show' How do I add markdown as an acceptable format?     Hello, I am using maven-assembly plugin to create a jar of my application, including its dependencies as follows: <assembly> <id>macosx</id> <formats> <format>tar.gz</format> <format>dir</format> </formats> <dependencySets> <dependencySet> <includes> <include>*:jar</include> </includes> <outputDirectory>lib</outputDirectory> </dependencySet> </dependencySets> </assembly> (I omitted some other stuff that is not related to the question) So far this has worked fine because it creates a lib directory with all dependencies. However, I recently added a new dependency whose scope is system, and it does not copy it to the lib output directory. i must be missing something basic here, so I call for help. The dependency that I just added is: <dependency> <groupId>sourceforge.jchart2d</groupId> <artifactId>jchart2d</artifactId> <version>3.1.0</version> <scope>system</scope> <systemPath>${project.basedir}/external/jchart2d-3.1.0.jar</systemPath> </dependency> The only way I was able to include this dependency was by adding the following to the assembly element: <files> <file> <source>external/jchart2d-3.1.0.jar</source> <outputDirectory>lib</outputDirectory> </file> </files> However, this forces me to change the pom and the assembly file whenever this jar is renamed, if ever. Also, it seems just wrong. I have tried with <scope>runtime</scope> in the dependencySets and <include>sourceforge.jchart2d:jchart2d</include> with no luck. So how do you include a system scoped jar to your assembly file in maven 2? Thanks a lot
