  • How do I use Openfire with OpenLDAP and ldap.clientSideSorting?

    The system log on my Openfire + OpenLDAP installation is getting flooded with this message: slap_global_control: unrecognized control: 1.2.840.113556.1.4.473 This means that Openfire wants OpenLDAP to do server-side sorting, which OpenLDAP doesn't support. The Openfire LDAP Guide advises to set the property ldap.clientSideSorting to true in this case. Unfortunately, Openfire doesn't find any user accounts in LDAP anymore if I do that. How do I make this work?

  • How can I protect Chrome user interface?

    Google Chrome has a feature to change between Google accounts which allows several users to have their customized extensions, history and whatnot retrieved instantly. It doesn't, however, protect someone else from checking anything google related. That means anyone with access to your computer can check every google account that was setup as user in Chrome. How can I prevent that? I first thought of checking a box with the option to have Chrome request for password upon user change but that doesn't seem to exist.

    I am trying to connect to weblogic via an SSH tunnel. When I connect to the web interface it works fine, but when I try to connect via JMX I get the message: javax.naming.CommunicationException [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: t3://127.0.0.1:7001: Bootstrap to 127.0.0.1/127.0.0.1:7001 failed. It is likely that the remote side declared peer gone on this JVM] Does anyone know what this means?

    Looking at the details of a certificate using the following: openssl x509 -noout -text -purpose -in mycert.pem I find a bunch of purpose flags (which I've discovered are set by the various extensions attached to a certificate). One of these purpose flags is "Any Purpose". I can't seem to find ANY documentation on this flag and why or why not it is set.     WinRAR is good at searching for a string in text files(java, xml, txt etc.) within an archive and it supports multiple archive formats. (rar, 7zip, winzip etc) Is there some way to extend this feature (by means of plug-ins etc) to search within Pdf & office files (doc, ppt), Or any other similar unzip tool which has this feature? (Extracting the entire archive & searching using Windows search is always one option)

    From what I understand, the noarch suffix means that it's architecture independent and should work universally. If this is the case, why should I install architecture-specific packages at all? Why not just go straight for the noarch? Are there optimizations in the x86 or x64 binaries that aren't found in the noarch binaries? What's best for high performance applications?   • ArcServer creates additional jobs

    We're running CA ARCserve Backup r12.5 (Build 5854) - Small Business Server Edition on our Small Business Server 2008. There is a daily job which saves the systemdrive, exchange and 3 databases to our backup storage. It seems like this daily job creates these additional jobs every time it runs. I don't know why it's doing this. Can anybody tell me why this is happening? (I'm sorry this screenshot is in german... "Ergänzungsjob" means something like "extensionjob" or "additionjob")

I'm watching and it seems to stick around 50% CPU "us" which I assume means usage.

  • I know it is a VLC know issue, but cant find a workaround

    I installed VLC player, because it works better that other video player on HD videos, but know I have an issue all most of my games (All of those using Bink Video, that means all Unreal Engine games, Call of duty, and more). When I load the game, I can hear the videos, the audio is working, so I know the videos is loading, but there is no image on the screen! Once I read that it was a known VLC issue with DivX or something like that, cant remember, does anyone, know a way to fix it? Thanks in advance

    I was looking at the product matrix of webmux 592G(load balancer). It says maximum connections per sec = 2.8M Maximum number of transactions = 100,000 What does the above numbers mean. Does above means that load balancer can have 2.8M connections open but only 100K of them will be active per seconds. Also incase any one has used webmux 592G do you guys know in practice how many connections it can have open and what qps it can serve

  • Where can I report an issue with IIS?

    While working with an ASP.NET application on Chrome for Android I discovered that Request.Browser.Cookies returns False for that browser (despite the browser supporting cookies). Based on what I've read, this indicates a problem with the database which ASP.NET (and, I assume, IIS) uses to look up information about different UserAgents. The fact that it returns False means that the database is either missing Chrome for Android, or has invalid data for it. What is the a proper place to report IIS issues like this?
