    I have a xib. the xib has a button that swaps another xib. the second xib has a uitextfield and a uilabel. how do I make the keyboard go away when I'm done typing? what do I need to wire or code? the second xib has it's own class (called CustomSign.m) Inside CustomSign.m, I've implemented the following method -(void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField { [customText resignFirstResponder]; signedLabel.text = customText.text; } - (void)awakeFromNib { //assume textField is an ivar that is connected to the textfield in IB [customText setDelegate:self]; } I get the following warning Class "CustomSign" does not implement the UITextFieldDelegate protocol

    Im trying to build a calculator with PyQt4 and connecting the 'clicked()' signals from the buttons doesn't as expected. Im creating my buttons for the numbers inside a for loop where i try to connect them afterwards. def __init__(self): for i in range(0,10): self._numberButtons += [QPushButton(str(i), self)] self.connect(self._numberButtons[i], SIGNAL('clicked()'), lambda : self._number(i)) def _number(self, x): print(x) When I click on the buttons all of them print out '9'.     Ok, I've looked all over for a solution for this but so far I'm unable to find anything related to what I need to accomplish. What I need is very simple as far as logic goes.     Hi everyone, Does anyone out there use SQL Express 2008 R2 in a production environment? I am looking at hosting a Windows VPS as a server for a client software product I have developed. Clients connect to the server, send their data to a service running on the server, and the service updates the database. I'm trying to keep running costs down, and whilst I have a license for SQL Developer I obviously can't use this in a production environment. Would it be wise/possible to use SQL Express 2008, and if so why/why not? Thanks, JD

  • Can I use "map" as a substitute for "for each"/"for in"?

    For a little while now javascript has the "map" function to loop over arrays. It appears possible to use it as a 'foreach' operator for example: var arr = ['a','b','c'] var doubles = arr.map(function(val){ return val + val }) Is this better or worse than saying for(var i in arr){ ... 50/50: saves having to use the index but adds a callback; it doesn't seem very common so I hesitate to use it but still want to.

    I'm trying to output the main_menu in to a custom theme on the page.tpl.php template however nothing is displaying when I add <?php print theme("links", $main_menu) ?> However when I do a var_dump on the $main_menu I get array(2) { ["menu-218"]=> array(2) { ["href"]=> string(7) "" ["title"]=> string(4) "Home" } ["menu-335"]=> array(2) { ["href"]=> string(6) "node/1" ["title"]=> string(4) "Home" } } What might I be doing wrong?   • Trying to write priority queue in Java but getting "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastEx

    For my data structure class, I am trying to write a program that simulates a car wash and I want to give fancy cars a higher priority than regular ones using a priority queue. The problem I am having has something to do with Java not being able to type cast "Object" as an "ArrayQueue" (a simple FIFO implementation).     I'm transferring my access logs into a database. I've got two tables: urlRequests id : int(10) host : varchar(100) path: varchar(300) unique index (host, path) urlAccesses id : int(10) request : int(10) <-- reference to urlRequests row ip : int(4) query : varchar(300) time : timestamp I need to insert a row into urlAccesses for every page load, but first a row in urlRequests has to exist with the requested host and path so that urlAccesses's row can reference it. I know I can do it this way: A. check if a row exists in urlRequests B. insert a row in urlRequests if it needs it C. insert a row into urlAccesses with the urlRequests's row id referenced That's three queries for every page load if the urlRequests row doesn't exist. I'm very new to MySQL, so I'm guessing that there's a way to go about this that would be faster and use less queries.

    I need to target the starting tag of the last top level LI in a list that may or may-not contain sublists in various positions - without using CSS or Javascript. Is there a simple/elegant regexp that can help with this? I'm no guru w/ them, but it appears the need for greedy/non-greedy selectors when I'm selecting all the middle text (.*) / (.+) changes as nested lists are added and moved around in the list - and this is throwing me off. $pattern = '/^(<ul>.*)<li>(.+<\/li><\/ul>)$/'; $replacement = '$1<li id="lastLi">$3'; Perhaps there is an easier approach?? converting to XML to target the LI and then convert back? ie: Single Element <ul> <li>TARGET</li> </ul> Multiple Elements <ul> <li>foo</li> <li>TARGET</li> </ul> Nested Lists before end <ul> <li> foo <ul> <li>bar</li> </ul> <li> <li>TARGET</li> </ul> Nested List at end <ul> <li>foo</li> <li> TARGET <ul> <li>bar</li> </ul> </li> </ul>

    I have a website, available through multiple domainnames. like www.domain1.com .... www.domain5.com All my customers have their own subdomain. like: customer1.domain1.com customer2.domain1.com .... customer351.domain4.com Currently i dont use SSL, each customer log in their own account via their sub domain. I want to change this, and make all customers log in on a central log in page, that would use SSL, for example. https://login.domain1.com And somehow redirect each user to the correct sub domain adress. (Sub domain that don't use SSL) How do I do this, and maintain security? One idea i had: Login - add random value somewhere in the database, Redirect to subdomain, with querystring the randomvalue. And after that the session takes care of it, Each value can be used once only.. But how secure is that? I guess someone would ask the question "why?" to me. Because SSL costs money. And unfortunately i dont have a lot of it. :D Thanks for your time!

    Hi there, I have a date format like this : $date1 = "Sun May 09 20:07:50 +0000 2010"; and I have to convert it to: 09-05-2010 I am using date("d-m-Y", $date1)); When I print this individually it gives proper result but I am using it in loop it gives me results like: 31-12-1969 I don't understand why this is so?
