  • Ruby 1.9 and Rackspace's email api (SOAP)

    Is anyone out there working with SOAP on Ruby 1.9? Rackspace has email addresses for $2/month and an api to programmatically create/destroy accounts which looks like the best I've found. Fusemail has $2 addresses too but you need a minimum of 80 to get access to the api. So, I either need to find a solution to working with Rackspace or a different email host.

    Hi, I would like to copy colors between elements in the interface builder or define them using RGB values. I.e. copy the background color of a button to another button without duplicating the button. Or: Enter an exact RGB code using the interface builder. Currently I can do this only programmatically but the interface builder is meant to design the GUI, so there must be such possibilities. Thank you all in advance for your answers.

  • Reopening serial port fails if not closed properly with CloseHandle

    I am working with USB device on Windows that is seen as a virtual serial port. I can communicate with the device using CreateFile and ReadFile functions, but in some cases my application does not call CloseHandle (when my application in development crashes). After that all calls to CreateFile fail (ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED), and the only solution is to log in to my computer again. Is there any way to force closing the open handle (or reopening) programmatically?

When looking in spy++, it looks like the parent of the listbox is the desktop, not the combo box. How can I programmatically find the listbox window handle? I know I'd be looking for a window class of ComboLBox that belongs to my process, but how do I narrow that down to the specific one I am looking for? Adam

When a file to be downloaded is clicked, I get the following in the Internet Explorer Information bar: To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this site from downloading files to you computer. I added a registry key to, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\ then a REG_DWORD value named "http" with value==2 as given in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/972345/programmatically-add-trusted-sites-to-internet-explorer but still facing same issues. Can some1 advice on this....

    I know the process id of an application in Mac OS X. How can I switch to it (using applescript, or python, or whatever)? By "switch", I mean, put in focus. The usual solution is to use the applescript code tell application "Foo" activate, but here the name is not useful because I have many instances of the same application running. I am however able to get the process id of the application. How can I switch to this application programmatically?

Provided I can only have this view to work with, how can I achieve this programmatically or there's some settings that I am not aware of in Drupal. P/S: I am aware of the access settings under basic settings in View but that would restrict access to the whole view, not field level.

I know that setting up object access auditing may be an option, but if I use that I then have the problem of trying to match up event log entries to specific files... sounds messy!     The function midiOutGetDevCaps returns a structure MIDIOUTCAPS. I'd need more specific information when querying a usb midi device on windows xp, in particular I'd need the information displayed under "Location" when opening the respective device using the Device Manager. I need this information in order to programmatically distinguish between several MIDI Interfaces connected to a computer. Using midiOutGetDevCaps, I uniformly get "USB Audio Device" for every midi usb interface connected to the computer, so distinguishing between the interfaces is impossible.
