  • Can I use a multi-line function or control flow segment into the PowerShellFar editor console

    If I am running farmanager with FarNet and PowerShellFar I can bring up a console of sorts by selecting F11 | .NET PowerShell | Editor Console. This console is based on the far editor. I can paste snippets of powershell scripts into this console and edit them. The only problem is if I want to use a multi-line function or control flow segment in the console. If I paste it in it has no effect. If I attempt to type one in I get an error similar to: ERROR: IncompleteParseException: Missing closing '}' in statement block. At line:1 char:42 + foreach ($number in 1..10 ) { $number * 7 <<<< + CategoryInfo : ParserError: (CloseBraceToken:TokenId) [], ParentContainsErrorRecordException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : MissingEndCurlyBrace Is this simply a limitation of PowerShellFar?

  • Vim: Fuzzy file search comparable to Sublime Text 2's?

    I've tried FuzzyFinder, Command-T, and Ctrl-P (which is my finder of choice right now), but none hold a candle to Sublime Text 2. For example, I want to type: Head.php and have it find, among others: app/code/core/Mage/Page/Block/Html/Head.php Currently in Ctrl-P, which has otherwise served me better than Command-T, searching for Head.php gives me these first: downloader/lib/Mage/Connect/Command/Config_Header.php app/code/local/Namespace/Modals/Helper/Reader.php app/code/core/Mage/XMLConnect/Helper/Ipad.php My file is nowhere to be found (and I've never opened any of the above files), so I have to type this instead: pagehtmlhead.php Is there any utility that does smarter scoring/matching?

  • How do I make everything open in the internal editor in eclipse

    I'm using Galileo and plenty of file types work just fine (java, txt) but others open in an external editor. Double clicking on a .sh opens it in emacs. Double clicking on a .py opens bluefish. What sort of madness is this and how do I stop it? I don't want to make an association for each type explicitly; I just want everything to open in the internal editor by default (or preferably Eclim, but that's another issue). Any ideas?

    Hi, I'm looking for an MKV meta tag editor, I'm using PLEX Media Server and PLEX Media Center on my iMac to see movies. PLEX is great because it automatically find and name all my movie library with year, director, gender, original title, description, movie poter art, etc. Unfortunately, it saves all the data only on a app DB file without edit any tag on the MKV files. A 20% of the movies needs to be fixed or PLEX needs help to find exactly the movie name, so if I need to move all my library elsewere, I need to do all the tagging work again.     I'm looking for the proper name for a web service that responds with text as opposed to XML. As an example this "cardServer" service will return 5 cards for a poker hand. http://hostname:8080/cardServer/deal/Game=Poker&Qty=5 The result could look like this: Card1=Ad Card2=Kc Card3=Ts Card4=5d Card5=3d The real world example is not as trivial, but the concept is the same. Parameters if any are passed as POST variables. We currently parse the response into a string list and use the values. The process works just fine. What I'm wondering if this service method has a name that has easier tools to deal with the responses and therefore did we reinvent the wheel? For the record the service was provided and maintained by a customer.

    I am just starting to use Sublime Text. So far it has been great! I am looking for a tutorial/method for a particular problem. I am working on a project, lets say on PC 1 and then once I am done with the project, I want to upload the whole thing to Github so that when I get home I can download the latest code and work on it again on PC 2. Is there a package available for this? Any thoughts or any better ways of managing your projects and still make them accessible.

    I want to use a server as a device to run a script to parse a SMS text in the following way. I. The person types in a specific and special cell phone number (Similar to Facebook’s 32556 number used to post on your wall) II. The user types a text message. III. The user sends the text message. IV. The message is sent to some kind of Device (the server) or SMS Gateway and receives it. V. The thing described above that the message is sent to then parse the test message. I understand that these three question will mix Programming and Server Stuff and could reside here or at DBA.SE How would I make such a cell phone number (described in step I) that would be sent to the Device? How do I create the device that then would receive it? Finally, how do I Parse the text message? I don't want to pay for cloud space, server scripting stuff or server space; I want to just use a free webserver to do this totally free - meaning I will have to do more on my own...   • Is there a workaround to the disappearing Perl/Tk text widget scrollbar for right justified content?

    I've come across a bug I believe in Perl/Tk 804.027 Text Widget (using Scrollable('ROText')). When I add a tag that selects all and apply the configuration change to justify to the right, the scrollbars do not show up. If I comment out the tagConfigure where I justify to the right, the scrollbars come back. Does anyone have a workaround or fix for being able to right justify a text widget's contents (includes text and embedded entry widgets) and still have functional horizontal scrollbars?

    Hi EveryOne Beginner in Flex ...Even worse with item renderers... Have managed to add a Combobox to a datagrid using a itemEditor... I want to change the options in a combo box depending on the value selected by the user on a previous combo.. In the combo box i want to display a certain value (Model Name ) but for quering a table i'll pass the corresponding code of the model :(... sounds simple enough ..unfortunately not able to implement it I have found this problem on this site but the solution seems an overkill for my "small" problem..was hoping if anyone could guide me towards a more simpler solution...     Hi there guys I'm new to LINQ and I'm trying to check whether a TEXT column is null or empty (as String.IsNullOrEmpty). from c in ... ... select new { c.Id, HasBio = !String.IsNullOrEmpty(c.bio) } Trying to use the above query produces an SqlException: Argument data type text is invalid for argument 1 of len function. The SQL generated is similar to the following: CASE WHEN ( NOT (([Extent2].[bio] IS NULL) OR (( CAST(LEN([Extent2].[bio]) AS int)) = 0))) THEN cast(1 as bit) WHEN (([Extent2].[bio] IS NULL) OR (( CAST(LEN([Extent2].[bio]) AS int)) = 0)) THEN cast(0 as bit) END AS [C1] LEN is not applicable to TEXT columns. I know DATALENGTH should be used for them... How can I force LINQ to produce such thing? Or any other workaround to test if a text column is null or empty??? Thanks!

  • How come, diffrent text files become diffrent sizes after compression ?

    I have file of some random text size = 27 gb and after compression it becomes 40 mb or so. And a 3.5 GB sql file become 45 Mb after compression. But a 109 mb text file become 72 mb after compression so what can be wrong with it. Why so less compressed, it must 10 mb or so , or i am missing something . All files as i can see is English text only and and some grammar symbols (/ , . - = + etc) Can you tell why ? If not can you tell how can i super compress a text file ? I can code in PHP , np in that.

For example, it is customary for metatags or page title to be weighted differently than body text when searching web pages. Although I'm not dealing with web pages I do seek the same functionality. In Lucene it's called Document Field Level Boosting. How would one natively do this in Sql Server Full Text Search?

  • How can I catch a change event from an HTML text field when a user clicks on a link after editing?

    Our webapp has a form with fields and values that change depending on values entered. Each time there is a change event on one of the form elements, we use an expensive AJAX call to update other elements on the page. This works great for selects, radio buttons and checkboxes. The issue comes in when a user adds content to a text field, and then clicks a link without taking the focus from the text field. The browser moves to a new page, and the contents of the text field are never saved. Is there an easy way to code around this? The AJAX call is too expensive to call with each key press.   • I am using jquery ajax using text() but any html written in the XML doesn't render?

    So I have Jquery Ajax working real nice, but an issue I am having is in my XML if I want to bold a work or Italicize a sentence, if I do it in the XML using HTML tags it will not show up.   • Are there libraries or techniques for collecting and weighing keywords from a block of text?

    I have a field in my database that can contain large blocks of text. I need to make this searchable but don't have the ability to use full text searching. Instead, on update, I want my business layer to process the block of text and extract keywords from it which I can save as searchable metadata. Ideally, these keywords could then be weighed based on the number of times they appear in the block of text. Naturally, words like "the", "and", "of", etc. should be discarded as they just add a lot of noise to the search. Are there tools or libraries in Python that can do this filtering or should I roll my own?

    I'm trying to export some extracted $_POST information into a text file, however my code is only capturing the first variable and ignoring the rest. I'm saving the information to the text file in this manner: $values = "First Name: $fName\r\n"; $values .= "Last Name: $lName\r\n"; $values .= "Address: $address\r\n"; etc. This is the code I use to write to the text file: $fp = @fopen("person.data", "w") or die("Couldn't open person.data for writing!"); $numBytes = @fwrite($fp, $values) or die("Couldn't write values to file!"); @fclose($fp); Any ideas on why it would only save the first $values ($fName) variable but not the rest of them? It actually saves the first part of the $values string for all of them (so I see Last Name:, Address:, etc. on separate lines in the text file) but the called variables $lName and $address do not appear.
